Nah pertanyaan saya, untuk dipakai di Denpasar, Semarang, Jogjakarta dan Jakarta, adakah prepaid HSDPA/HSUPA yg bisa dibeli dan murah. Memang LCD yg digital (dan kebanyakan baru bisa 8 bit color depth) tidak akan bisa menyaingi CRT yg analog dan bisa saja menampung 32 bit color depth, tapi apa yang didapat sekarang dirasa sudah cukup mengingat CRT ukuran besar sudah tidak layak produksi lagi, dilihat dari kerumitan proses, efisiensi daya dsb. Sony sendiri sudah menghentikan produksi CRT Trinitron Maret 2008, dan Panasonic juga mau menyusul. Nah kalo yg bikin tabung aja sudah mengibarkan bendera putih, apa itu bukannya berarti KETINGGALAN JAMAN ? Kalo tabungnya ndak ada, lalu bikin CRT pakai apa? Kalau ada yang punya Windows Vista, dan memakai wireless broadband UMTS/HSDPA modem baik USB maupun PCMCIA atau bahkan WWAN, dan systemnya jadi tidak bisa konek lagi ke wireless broadband provider, ternyata ini bug dari Windows Vista http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7428 Laptop saya setelah update SP1, setelah suspend atau hybernate, tidak akan bisa lagi konek dengan wireless BB, selalu muncul RAS Error 720. Dikuping kira kira ada siapa yang transmit di area anda pada jam segitu dan membuat transmisi AP anda terganggu. Kemudian anda sudah yakin yg problem Wifi-nya? Bisa jadi yg problem adalah antara Wifi AP dengan uplinknya? [ITCENTER] Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 crash di Win Vista ketika melakukan search
Saya pakai Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 dan recently melakukan upgrade atas sofware ini secara online. Sayangnya saya tidak tahu apakah Windows Vista juga melakukan update, karena untuk Windows saya bikin automatic update. Nah masalahnya, dengan Acrobat Reader sekarang, kalo saya melakukan search di dalam PDF document tersebut, Acrobatnya langsung crash. Windows Vista secara otomatis melakukan capture crash dump-nya dan sending ke Microsoft, tapi kok tidak ada resolution atau answer atas masalahya. Heran deh, sebelum pakai SP1, biasanya kalo ada crash kita langsung dibawa ke homepage Vista yang ada problem resolution atas software crash. Ada yang ngalamin juga kagak? Supermicro??? saya beli supermicro kurang lebih 6 bulan yang lalu, supportnya payah. saya harus sampai marah2 baru orang tekniknya dateng, terus ada masalah di scsi adapternya yang tidak terdetect di fedora 9 setelah 1 minggu baru ketahuan bahwa adapter tersebut ga support fedora 9, dengan sangat terpaksa harus beli scsi adapter baru altect dengan harga yg tidak murah. Alih2 mau murah malah jadi mahal juga. Sekarang saya beralih ke HP DL350 dengan harga ga jauh dari harga total harga supermicro. Karena penasaran dengan soal SCSI card ini, dan seingat saya saya belum pernah ketemu SuperMicro chasis yang pakai backplane SCSI, saya search card yg anda maksud di http://www.supermicro.com/products/accessories/index.cfm Nah di situ kok ndak ada ya SCSI Add On card? Bahkan seingat saya, di situ juga sudah ada perkiraan harga. Jawabannya tetap sama, harga UD 1800, harus paket hdd + bracket, garansi 1 bulan standard IBM. Kecuali kalau mau hand-carry dari luar atau via courier, yang mesti bayar pajak import di Cengkareng, dsb. dsb. Kalo begitu anda mungkin terkena dampak praktek bisnis tidak sehat dari vendor vendor IBM di Indonesia, yang mungkin sebenarnya malah tidak punya stock sama sekali, tapi mengandalkan kepada somebody hiding behind yg kebetulan sourcing part yg sama ke kedua vendor tersebut sehingga harga sama persis karena anda lihat TC-nya saja gak sama dengan yg dipegang oleh principal seperti yg saya quote. For that one, I have no contest. Ya nasib aja tinggal di negara Tier 2/Tier 3. As far as I know one of the reason kenapa ada beberapa vendor IT yg males jadi majority owner di perusahaan cabang di Indo adalah karena males ngurusin import dan financing di Indonesia. Mereka lebih suka partnership model diskon 40% ke partner, tapi bayar express dan urusan masukin barang urus sendiri. Ahh... makin males aja balek kampung :( BTW, saya jadi keinget, dulu waktu masih di mailing list CompuMania, saudara Harry Sufehmi pernah share kalo dia marah marah gara gara mau beli Compaq Proliant server di Indonesia yg harganya kelewatan mahalnya. Lalu kirim email ke Compaq direct dan dilayani oleh Compaq Singapore dengan harga yang rasional.
