You can just uncheck all items and make it download. Of course, nothing will
dl, but you can use the file tab for the torrent to see which files are
there and choose what to download. Just press the applications key and
choose the appropriate option.

I've been a pretty happy uTorrent user for quite some time now. However,
in

the last couple updates of uTorrent, the list of files within a torrent in

Anyone have scripts for this software, or a torrent program that works

Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
I have had jaws for quite a long time, and I have an xp computer, but the
script files often are exe files, which give you options of what to do, but
this one doesn't seem to be, so if you could give me some clues, I'd really

I understand now that the enu subfolder in under the (in my case) the bill

supposed to place them in the enu\scripts folder or what have you or do they
need compiling or whatever the word is or what? Oh, I'm now using jaws 10.
I was doing quite well with jaws 8, I don't know what i did, but I managed
to get the job done somehow and besides, I suspect that the operation is
different with Jaws 10.

Re: [JAWS-Users] needing help with win mx scripts file

2009-03-07 Thread Denny Huff

Bill,

When you unzip the WinMX file you should have a list of Jaws script files.
Just do a control a to select all, go to your start menu, programs, Jaws 10,
Explore Jaws settings, and finally to, Explore my settings.

Copy those files into that folder.
Close the folder and that should do it.

You are lucky then, because in the process of adding a torrent I can see the
file list, but with arrows it reports only the file size and not the actual
name or type. With insert+control+number doesn't report the name also, only
the size. It's the same on other computers also. Xp pro and jaws10 here.

[JAWS-Users] Java Access Bridge

2009-03-07 Thread Francis E. Khan
Hi Listers:

My bank in Trinidad and Tobago now has an online facility and uses, among other
things, a programme called Java Run Time Environment which must be downloaded
on the computers of persons who wish to use the service. I have subscribed to
this service but do not find the site Jaws friendly or as accessible as I would
wish.

A couple of days ago I was reading about a piece of software from Java called
Java Access Bridge which it is claimed will alleviate some of the difficulties
I encounter. If anybody on this list is acquainted with this product I would
very much like to hear from you on what it does and whether I can download it
on my computer or whether I should get in touch with the web developers to help
make life a bit easier when I access the bank's online wegbsite. If there is
any other literature on this subject which I can send to the webmaster, please
also point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can just uncheck all items and make it download. Of course, nothing will
dl, but you can use the file tab for the torrent to see which files are
there and choose what to download. Just press the applications key and
choose the appropriate option.

Yeah, I also hate this new-fangled ribbon menu system. However, there is a

Subject: [JAWS-Users] spellchecker for word 2003 question

Hi my spellchecker tries to check the other person's spelling on their
mail when I try to send mine out instead of just checking my mail for
spelling. Can somebody tell me in detail how to get it to just check
spelling on my outgoing mails? Thanks. Step by step would be great. Karen

Hi Everyone,
I have had jaws for quite a long time, and I have an xp computer, but the
script files often are exe files, which give you options of what to do,
but
this one doesn't seem to be, so if you could give me some clues, I'd
really

appreciate it.
I understand now that the enu subfolder in under the (in my case) the bill
folder which makes things rather confusing, so I don't know if I'm just
supposed to place them in the enu\scripts folder or what have you or do
they
need compiling or whatever the word is or what? Oh, I'm now using jaws
10.

I was doing quite well with jaws 8, I don't know what i did, but I managed
to get the job done somehow and besides, I suspect that the operation is
different with Jaws 10.
thanks for all your help.

[JAWS-Users] free sounds download sites that are jaws accessible

2009-03-07 Thread thao vy

Hello,

Does any JAWS users know of any websites where I can download some free
sounds effects that are JAWS accessible?
I am currently searching for a baby crying sound for my cousin for one of

If you could give me some sites of where to download, or if you could send
me a baby crying sound file. I greatly apreciated! My e-mail address is:

Thanks in advance!

I dislike comments like the one below. I have used norton since the
days of Norton utilities for DOS, and have had no problems. It is kind
of a resource hog at times, but many of them are. If you have a system
that has less than 1 GB of RAM, you will notice significant sluggishness
when Norton is doing a scan, so you just schedule the scan for the
middle of the night, or some time when you are not using the machine.

before that, he can explore what options he has under the settings button.
There is the following checkbox Turn StickyKeys off if two keys are

Hello list,
I am helping a blind person with poor hands coordination using the
computer and I am introducing sticky keys, but sticky keys shut off when
another key combination is pressed.
For example, to select a word we have to press shift and ctrl keys
together while pressing right arrow key.

But sticky keys function shuts off if any combination keys are pressed.
Any idea on how to solve this problem please?
Thank you,

Is there a tutorial around for this program which looks nothing

I understand there is a way to get rid of those ribbons.

You can just uncheck all items and make it download. Of course, nothing will

dl, but you can use the file tab for the torrent to see which files are
there and choose what to download. Just press the applications key and
choose the appropriate option.

I've been a pretty happy uTorrent user for quite some time now. However,
 in
the last couple updates of uTorrent, the list of files within a torrent in

items, and I ccan tell what size they are, but can't tell WHAT they are.
Anyone have scripts for this software, or a torrent program that works
 better with JFW 10?

 Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] sticky keys function

Taken directly from the xp help system.

StickyKeys is designed for people who have difficulty holding down two or
more keys simultaneously. When a shortcut requires a key combination, such
as CTRL+P, StickyKeys will enable you to press a modifier key (CTRL, ALT, or
SHIFT), or the Windows logo key and have it remain active until another key
is pressed.
