Re: [JAWS-Users] successful win 7 install, works well with jaws 10
Hi everyone I've done the first part of the win7 install without sighted assistance. If you do not boot from the win7 DVD but pop it into your current OS, you should complete most of the steps with jaws available. Not sure how to do an entirely unattended install though. Re: [JAWS-Users] successful win 7 install, works well with jaws 10
I did a clean install, because I also created a couple of new partitions and reformatted and deleted all the old partitions. so I used the win 7 cd and booted from it. for an upgrade to install over existing os, I guess you can use jaws and then narrator to get you thru the process by yourself. chrissy -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Dickson Tan Sent: Freitag, 23. Re: [JAWS-Users] 2 inboxes
Hi Hugh, I had this problem at one time and I had either copied the in-box or the .pst file where the mailboxes are stored had become corrupt. The best place to start is with the folder tree; see if you can actually see where the second in-box is, paying particular attention to expanding and checking in Search Folders at the bottom of the folder tree. You should be able to at some point delete one of them after determining if mail comes to both in-boxes or just one and of course, backing up your Outlook 2003 data. First, try compacting your mailboxes and see if that fixes it. [JAWS-Users] 2 sound card observations.
Hello all. I'm running Vista on an Acer laptop and jaws 11. Today, I installed a SB live external. I directed all computer sounds to the sb live and the jaws speech and sounds to the real tech that is built into the laptop. Nothing spectacular there, however, I have noticed that since doing this some of the lag in the computer, and a lot of jaws sluggishness has gone away. I'm wondering if this is a normal result of having a dedicated sound card for jaws, or if it's more something to do with the configuration of my computer. What ever the end result is, it's awesome. You can download Hot Key Detective from the JAWS Users programs page (it's item 30 under the Utilities heading): http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/ Gerald - Original Message - From: Kimsan ksong8...@msn.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, October 23, 2009 11:07 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] keystroke for starting screen readers My original question was concerning keystrokes. I just wanted to know if I had two keystrokes for one thing how do I delete one of them. The person might've not understood me so I elaborated a bit more using what I used, which was jfw and WE.
