Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS doesn't read documentpagenumbersinadobereader 9
Hi, I think many of you, who have this problem, should report it to adobe. They have to fix it, because it's not legitim that we have to convert documents just because regressions on adobe reader software. If you search in google for "report adobe reader problem" you'll find a form to this purpose. They have to understand that it's not one or two persons that have the same problem. Re: [JAWS-Users] 64 bit computer
It all depends on what software you have, if any, that won't run on Win 7 but does on Xp. If you have a lot of older software that hasn't been updated, then it might be worth it; if you are set on getting a Win 7 machine. Otherwise, its probably not. Remember when considering the price: not only will you pay $100 extra for Win 7 Pro, but you also need to pay for Jaws Professional and of course, not only does Jaws Pro cost more, but so do the yearly SMA's. - Original Message - From: "Lenny McHugh" To: "jaws-users-list" Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2010 6:59 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] 64 bit computer I was looking around for a new machine. [JAWS-Users] 64 bit computer
I was looking around for a new machine. One of the sales people at Staples suggested a computer with win 7 professional. He told me that the professional operating system has an option to run windows xp software. I wonder if it is really worth the cost to upgrade the license from the version of jaws that runs on home premium to professional for that capability. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.lennymchugh.com Lenny Please Copy and Paste into New Message to pass along. Re: [JAWS-Users] FS Reader
I thought Fredom Scientific made the DAISY FS Reader a free product starting with JAWS 11. As far as I know, the only way to get the FS Reader is to download the full JAWS 11 version, even if you do not have a license for that version. In that case, JAWS would only work in 40 minute demo mode. Even if you uninstall JAWS 11, the FS Reader can remain as a full featured version.
