Re: [JAWS-Users] using goldwave to edit files

2010-10-16 Thread Asoka Bandula
hello,

1. navigate to the starting possition of the audio file that you want
to edit. this can be done one of several ways. you can use F4 or space
bar to play right from the beginning. but that would take much time.
try left and right arrows. that should take you to the closest
position of the file. you can use L to fast forward and J to revine.
2. when you get the exact starting position, hit F7 to pauce and press
left bracket to insert the start marker.
3. press F7 again to resume playback and press F7 again to pauce when
you reach the exact ending position and press right bracket to insert
finish marker. this will enclose the audio that you want to edit.
4. now press delete key. this should delete you unwanted audio portion.

hope this helps,

The unlabeled button is I Agree, that should be checked, and if you gives

So as far as the I button is available, than don't do anything with the

Hello Bill and Annette,

The CTRL+Shift+S command only lists the worksheets so you can move to one of
them. In order to get the dialog box that Annette referred to you can use
Alt, followed by H, followed by O, followed by M. I am using Excel 2010 but
I am quite sure the key sequence was the same in Excel 2007. You can also
route JAWS cursor, do a page down, use up arrow to the area where the sheets
are listed and use the JAWS cursor to simulate a right mouse button click on
the name of the sheet to be moved. The Move or Copy Sheet menu choice will
be in the context menu. In the list of worksheets in the dialog box, you
want to pick the sheet before which you want the one you are moving to be
located. The last choice in the list is to move your worksheet to the end
of the sheets in the workbook. You can also check the box to make a copy as
Annette mentioned.

Take care.

In Excel 2007, I believe that the command is Insert+Shift+S. Here at home I
have 2003 running on a laptop, And at work I use the command all of the time
on a full 101 keyboard, so I can't confirm it. If this is not the correct
command, look in Insert+F1, Insert+H, or Insert+w. I know I found it in one
of these informational screens. Here is how to use it.

When you are in the worksheet you want to copy, use the Insert+Shift+s
command to bring up a menu. Arrow down to Copy/Move sheet and press Enter.
A dialog box will come up that we are all used to from Excel 2003. This
dialog box will allow you to select where you want to copy or move the sheet
to (i.e. same file, blank file, some other file, etc.). You can select
where among all of the other sheets in the workbook you want the sheet to be
placed, and then there is a check box that you check if you want to make a
copy of the sheet, or leave it unchecked if you want to move the sheet.

Use this same command to rename your current worksheet.

Let me give you a heads up about a problem I've had with using the
Insert+Shift+s command. It appears that when I have data in A1, this
command does not work correctly. When this happens, you have to move your
cursor down to beyond the last row of data and it will work again. As long
as you do not go back to row 1 the command will continue working. I have
talked to FS support about this issue, and I am working on sending them a
sample file where this problem occurs. Because the file I am using at work
has PIP data in it, I am having to create a new file to send to FS to work
with.

HTH,
Annette

Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2003-not able to activate a link

2010-10-16 Thread Brian Lee
Hello John,

There are a couple things you might want to try to activate the link. If
you are using Word as the editor in Outlook 2003 then you might try using
F11 to move to the hyperlink field and press enter key. Focus should be
right on the field if you move to it that way. You can also try listing
fields using JAWS key with F5, moving down to the hyperlink field you want
to use and pressing enter key. Focus should be placed directly on the field
and you can try pressing enter key. Try moving the cursor a character to
the left of the link and then use right arrow to move on to the link. If
JAWS reads the entire link when you move back to the cursor then the field
might actually be in focus and you can try pressing enter key. I just
noticed in your message that you said that you are able to activate the
links using the application key, so perhaps these possible workarounds are
not what you are wanting. I am not sure why JAWS wouldn't be working like
it should in a HTML message. You are obviously viewing the message in HTML
format as the hyperlinks work using Windows keyboard and mouse functions.
When in a spell checking dialog box, the JAWS key with f7 is used for having
JAWS speak the misspelled word and suggestion.

Take care.

Because the file I am using at work
has PIP data in it, I am having to create a new file to send to FS to work
with.

HTH,
Annette

Re: [JAWS-Users] Copying Worksheets | Excel 2007

2010-10-16 Thread Brian Lee

This
dialog box will allow you to select where you want to copy or move the sheet

where among all of the other sheets in the workbook you want the sheet to be

[JAWS-Users] Copying Worksheets | Excel 2007

2010-10-16 Thread Bill Tipton
Hello,

How do you copy complete work sheets (with data) to a new Worksheet in same
spreadsheet in Excel 2007, with JAWS 11?

After I copy the worksheet; how do I rename the worksheet so I do not have
duplicate worksheet names?

Thank you,

F & S has some work to do with the 12 beta, for it doesn't work with
Windows Live Mail either. It use to read every letter two or three time
when typing a message. Now it doesn't read a thing. I am using 64 bit,
window 7 Home edition and Win Live Mail on my laptop.

Hi Listers, I have installed Windows Live Messenger 2011 on Windows 7 64
bit. When I arrow down my list of contacts. Jaws announces each contact,
but

when I arrow back up the list, Jaws doesn't announce anything. Is this a
known problem?

Re: [JAWS-Users] Linksys Router

2010-10-16 Thread Steve
Under wireless. Depending on your router model and region in the world, you
will have different choices.

From my understanding some of the channels overlap, so moving to an adjacent
channel may not help much. It might be more helpful to move from channel 6,
which is usually the default to channel 1 or 2, or to 11, or if you are in a
region that allows it, channel 13.

If you have a N capable router, you can change the channel width from 40MHz
wide to 20MHz wide.

With a 2.4GHz router, any cordless phones operating in the 2.4GHz range as
well as microwave ovens can impede wireless range as well.

Using windows seven and latest 12 beta

We have been experiencing very patchy internet connection lately, just
spoken to our ISP and they tell me nothing is wrong and that there is
probably a mobile phone or some such thing in the close cacinity causing
the problem.

I am tending to believe him because our main pc which is wired direct to
the ruter has no problems. He has advised me to alter the channel setting
on the router, I am able to get into the router and see all the settings
but wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction to alter the
channel, I have just taken a quick look and did not see where I could
alter it. Is it under wireless, security or where?

Appreciate any help.

[JAWS-Users] Outlook 2003-not able to activate a link

2010-10-16 Thread john R. Vaughn
David and list, On my sony laptop, using the laptop keyboard configuration,
I am using latest build of Jaws 11, windows 7 and outlook 2003.
in the message below(as well as in many other messages), jaws reads me the
link to the web site, but when I enter on the link, nothing happens and I
hear a ding.
I can only activate the link by using the Jaws curser and doing a manual
mouse click(jaws key plus number 8 on the numbers row).
This issue has perplexed me as some other messages I receive, I can activate
the link with the application cursor.
On pages like the one below, if I try and bring up a list of links, Jaws
says "not in spell checker".
appreciate some help here.

I would leave the adaptor alone, because its set to default auto, and
if changed then that is the only numbered channel it will connect to.
