No that isn't what I want to know.
Ok I'll try again.
What is happening is the signature tag is at the top, and what is typed in
is at the bottom, so I want to know is how I can change that, so what I type
in is at the top, and my tag line is at the bottom.

Thanks
Patti

[JAWS-Users] Form fields disappeared

2012-04-03 Thread Deanne Miller
Hi everyone:
I was helping a friend update his antivirus on his laptop and discovered that,
on many web sites, Jaws is not saying the edit field. On Google.com, for
example, if I press the letter E, it will go to the place where the search
field should be. Instead of saying "search edit," though, it simply says blank.
The search area sounds like this: search, blank, blank, search button. Pressing
spacebar or enter does nothing. I have tried it with other web sites and it
seems to work with some, like gmail and freedomscientific, but not others, like
amazon or Yahoo, where it does the exact same thing I just described about
Google.
He has a Toshiba laptop, Windows home premium, and Jaws 9, latest version. I
ran two repairs on jaws, and then I completely removed and did a clean install
of Jaws, all to no avail. I have never experienced anything like this before.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sandy,
Windows live mail should remember its settings. If you change the setting,
close the program, and then reopen it, has it remembered the setting? If so,

I presume that you're shutting down the computer using the start menu, and not
just powering it off.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2010 and JAWS

2012-04-03 Thread John Justice
Hi Ann and Vicky,
There are actually two ways to create folders in Outlook 2010.
As Ann has indicated, one way is to have folders as "sub-folders" within
the In Box which is, a folder.
However, you can create folders in the list called Personal Folders. It
isn't easy but probably the reason you can't find those folders is that they
are within the In Box.
Delete all of the messages from your In box.
Press Control Y to access the folder list.
Move away from and then come back to the In box.
You will find that there are still lists within that folder.
If I'm right, just open one of those folders, then locate the Folder
options.
One of the choices is to Move Folder" and that is what you want to do.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to move the folder. Then a list
of folders will be shown. Move all the way up until you find the Personal
Folders indication, make sure that the list is open and then press Enter.
Your folder, formerly within your In Box, will now appear as a separate
listing within the Personal Folders list.
I'm doing this from memory so let me know if I got some of this wrong.
It's been a while.
I love Outlook 2010 but it can be a nuisance at times.

Outlook 2010 menus are very screen driven. In order to move an e-mail
message with control-shift v, you have to be in the mailbox, not the
message.

New folders are under the inbox. So control-y to inbox, I think tab once,
then down arrow to the sub-folders.

You can reach the BCC button only from a new-mail screen--new message,
reply, or forward. it is under options on the upper ribbon, reached with
alt-p.

Good luck!
