[JAWS-Users] Jaws new scripts for skype?
You might be interested in: Skype Scripts share with you a new jaws script for Skype 6.18 & higher. Up to now we were using jaws script version 618 revision 851, but now Doug Lee has launched a new jaws script which is revision 860. for those who are already using jaws script press ctrl+shift+W for those who do not, to download it: Please click here: http://www.dlee.org/skype/jfw-skr618a.exe version 6.22 so this will be good. Here's what it says about it on Doug's site. Revision 886, released November 4, 2014 . Typing indicators work in Skype 6.22. Warning: They do not work in Skype 6.21 and older with these scripts. . Ctrl+1/2 may work more reliably. . Radio buttons should be better named in Options, though the counts per option set may not be correct for now. . The type for the box for blocking numbers is fixed. . SayAll in a chat message list pauses between messages. . Some unknown function calls for JAWS 15+ Skype script commands are fixed. These were the result of running these Skype scripts in JAWS 15+ and then trying to use commands supported by the default Skype scripts in JAWS itself. . Ctrl+Shift+E jumps to the chat edit box as it does in JAWS 15+ without these scripts. . Arrows work in the Options/Sounds list. . If Skype tries to focus the "Application Access" box when it is not visible, the scripts move focus to the chat input box. If there is no visible chat input box, focus is forced to the Search edit box, from which a DownArrow will go to whichever list is showing. This issue probably affects only users of third-party Skype addons. . Reordering entries in skype.jkm will no longer break handling of the command key that prefixes all layered Skype script commands. The symptom of this issue was unexpected "Current command key not found" messages on startup. . Fixed clipboard functionality in chat input boxes in JAWS 16. Warning: The functionality of a chat input box on the first message sent to a person may not be good for some JAWS 16 users. The JAWS 15 fix for this broke things in JAWS 16. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of randy tijerina Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2014 5:52 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Have any of you tried the new scripts for skype? friends, I tried the new scripts that they came out with for skype...I'm still getting that same ding, ding, ding sound. it's likefor some reason they'r not working. Re: [JAWS-Users] Hot key
Thanks Brian. I will try this tomorrow and hopefully it will work. Take care, Kate -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Brian Lee Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2014 10:23 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Hot key Hello Kate, If you still have an earlier version of JAWS on your system and you want to use the same shortcut key for the newer version of JAWS then you need to first remove the shortcut key from the earlier version. Find the icon for the earlier version of JAWS (likely still on the desktop) and use the Alt with enter key to launch the properties. Focus should be in the shortcut page. If it isn't then use CTRL with tab key until you get to that page. Use tab key until you get to the box that contains the shortcut key. Press bacspace key. Use JAWS key (usually the insert key on the number pad or capslock key in laptop configuration), with tab key and JAWS should say "none." Tab to the apply button and use spacebar and then tab to the OK button and use spacebar. For some reason, I have had trouble in the past when I tab to the Apply button. The key combination that I used didn't always stay. In those cases what usually worked is after typing in the key combination to use, I routed JAWS cursor to PC cursor, went to the bottom of the dialog box and did a left mouse button on the Apply and again on the OK button. After closing the dialog box you might want to go back into the properties of the icon for the older version of JAWS and make sure your change worked. Go to the icon for the new version of JAWS and enter its properties in the same manner as mentioned above. (Hold down Alt key and press enter key to enter the icon's properties) If not in the shortcut page use CTRL with tab until focus is there. Find the shortcut box and use the key combination that you want to use to launch the program. Use the Apply button and then the OK button. Take care. [JAWS-Users] Rdio desktop app
Hello all, I use the Rdio music streaming service on my phone and I was wondering if anybody knows if the desktop application is accessible with JAWS. I downloaded it and got pretty much no response from any key press except for this button that when pushed, caused the program to say it was not responding but I think this might have been a problem with the program itself. I uninstalled it and so I was just wondering if anybody uses it successfully so I know if I should try and reinstall it or not. Also, does anybody know if the website is accessible? I am running JAWS 15 with Windows 8. Sorry for the long-winded email and thanks in advance for any help.
