We dial and receive many telephone calls a day. In our previous discipleship gathering 12 of us had taken a decision that before dialing and receiving telephone calls we will make a short prayer for the person who is in the other end. First few days it was very difficult for me to follow the above decision. Later I put an effort consciously to pray for the other person and now a day it automatically comes in my mind. This prayer produced good result in me. Let me share it - I've two younger brothers and youngest one, Praveen is little crazy. In my house many calls come to this VIP who always roam around with his friends. Many times, we were annoyed at receiving his friends call. Most of the time his friends call irritated me. There were times; (in his absence) I didn't even bothered to ask who is in the other end note down their numbers. However, after following this method, I am showing a little more politeness to his crazy friends :-) If you are interested you too can try this method and find out the difference! Hello my dear ones in christ Sorry i couldn't write to u all for sometime.and when i open i saw lots of mails..i have not read them yet. i read Sindhu chechi'e e mail...and was very touched. This is what i like abt Joy net ...it Gives me a very wide perspective of how Jesus works in other peoples life. and we are actually knowing who the person God is..actually when we share our lives we are really giving away a part of our life for others to see ...and this has to be complemented with love and trust among each of us. i always consider u all to be my most intimate friends in christ. i always thank God for giving me such a wonderful Group to share my problems and happiness.and who really pray for me ...i also pray 4 u all ...especially the people working to sustain this group may all u r lives be filled with the glory of Christ Jesus. please pray for me so that i may not loose christ through my sin and pride. Deepak, In Psalms 80:17-18 the Psalmist prays: Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself! ... . Here psalmist described Jesus as son of man who is at the right hand of the God. At that time the expectation about Messiah is as that he will come from the David's family as son of a man. You can read he is clearing this doubt in Mathew 22:41-46. Daniel 24:30 also says the same and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. Here Jesus is quoting the exactly the same words in Mathew 24:30 (your doubt). I.e, he is quoting from prophets and psalms. You can see most of His words either in Psalms or other books from Psalms. Jesus is actually trying to define himself and his work as messianic being. Hello Everyone! Today we, Anu and Me celebrate out 4th wedding anniversary. Though she is at Cochin and I am here in Fujairah, my JY friends made up for it by gathering at our place for a night vigil. I cut a cake alone :(, after the prayers in the morning with the JYs. It was really great feeling to praise and thank God to the day of our wedding anniversary. Anu is back home for a reason...to deliver our second kid. She is due any day now. I once heard (a legend) of a priest of a small Midwestern town, who as a young man had committed what he felt was a terrible sin. Although he had asked God's forgiveness, all his life he carried around the burden of that sin. He just could not be sure God had forgiven him. One day he was told of an elderly lady in his congregation who sometimes had visions. During these visions, he had learnt, she would often have conversations with the Lord. After a while the priest finally got up enough courage to visit this woman. She invited him in and offered him a cup of tea. Towards the end of the visit, he set his cup down on the table and looked into the woman's eyes. Is it true you sometimes have visions? he asked her. Yes she replied. Is it also true that during these visions, you often speak with the Lord? Yes, she said again. Well.. the next time you have a vision and speak with the Lord, would you ask him a question for me? The woman looked at the priest a little curiously. She had never been asked this before. Yes, I would be happy to, she answered. What do you want me to ask him? Well, the priest began, Would you ask him what sin it was that your priest committed as a young man? The woman, quite curious now, readily agreed. A few weeks passed, and the priest again went to visit his woman. After another cup of tea he timidly asked, Have you had any visions lately? Why, yes, I have, replied the woman. Did you speak with the Lord? Yes. Did you ask him what sin I committed as a young man? Yes, the woman replied. The priest nervous and afraid, hesitated a moment and then asked, Well, what did the Lord say? The woman looked up into the face of the priest and replied gently, The Lord told me he could not remember. God not only forgives our sins, He chooses to forget them. The Bible tells us he takes them and buries them in the deepest sea. And then as Corrie ten Boom used to say, He puts up a sign that says, 'No fishing allowed. No therapist had any luck in disabusing the man of his illusion. Then this therapist visited the man. He asked the man to put his arms out to the side. The therapist measured the mans arms from fingertip to fingertip. He also measured the man from head to foot. The therapist came back with a hammer, two pieces of wood and some nails. By now the patient became curious and very uneasy. What are you doing? the patient demanded. You are Jesus Christ, arent you? asked the therapist. Yes, of course, blustered the patient. At this challenge, Lucifer laughed out loudly, and threw back another challenge at Gabriel. You say, this person is going to draw vast crowds towards the kingdom of heaven; You know what I will do? I will wait, till he goes to his village and starts telling everybody of his new found grace. And then, more and more people will be attracted towards him; and his teaching; he will make fellow believers and finally He will form a large group of people, who will gather every now and then for their fellowship gatherings, there will be praise and worship and singing of hymns in those gatherings .. Gabriel was indeed pleased when he heard all of this from Lucifer, He started imagining the great group which will focus on worshipping the Lord and telling others about their faith. It was then, that Lucifer continued his talk, And when the group is all set and ready and well functioning, I will put my seeds of jealousy, greed for power, hatred and misunderstandings in that group, and start of with simple diversity of ideas which will later form into major arguments and finally when the group is disrupted, I will bring all those large crowds of people towards me. Thus, with your single seed of grace, I will make vast number of followers for myself. Gabriel was angry and furious on hearing this and said sternly THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. And they parted their ways, each waiting eagerly to see what the outcome was going to be My dear friends, this was only a story, but does it in some ways reflect truth in our fellowship gatherings . It was a challenge between good and evil . We too, may be members of various prayer groups, cell groups ..and the like .. Diversity of ideas can come in our groups too .. When such situations arise, whom shall we allow to win the challenge .? The good or the evil? When we see certain things which affect the harmony of the groups taking place withen our groups, what are the steps that we can take to prevent

Dear friends, Its really been such a long time since I have written. I had been just to busy. The past few days I had been very excited on my new job. ( I am now working in a psychiatric hospital-In a beautiful place, with even beautiful people). Being in a arab country,, when I first joined here a few months ago, I had been strictly warned against speaking about religion or God-especially christianity to anybody. And of course, I had been following it too. But recently, something nice happened. We had a nice patient, a kuwaiti national, educated in the united states, a case of addiction. And her american background had given her a little exposure of christianity. One fine day suddenly she came upto me and in front of everybody asked me, Sister, who do you think killed Christ Jesus? I was really shocked at her question, and my heartbeat increased as I saw all the other kuwaiti patients and my eygptian colleagues looking at me expecting for a reply. I just kept my mouth shut and tried to walk off from there when she again said, why sister, dont you want to tell me about it? It was a real challenge, and I was definetely not prepared to risk my job, by accepting her challenge. But my guilty conscience wouldnt just leave me alone. Slowly in a very soft voice I told her You know, it was my sins that he was bearing on that cross that finally killed himmy sins and the sins of the whole world As I was talking, I took her to her room and told her very briefly about our faith, our beliefs etc Just then another kuwaiti patient who had been over hearing our conversation interupted in between, You know sister, before coming to this hospital I have come across only 3 christians in my entire life. And, they are also the best 3 people I have ever known. And because of my association with them, I knew when I saw you, that you were a christian too. Christians are really different, I really like them. As she was saying this, I was getting even more nervous and kept on looking in every direction, to see if anybody else was listening to us. I t is really considered as a crime to speak about christianity here, and here I was with my patients discussing it. I just thanked my Lord for giving me the oppurtunity to speak about it ; and wen icame home from duty that day I was really feeling very much relaxed.; All the fears of consequences had suddenly left me and I was peaceful withen. love, anita Yahoo! Anyway they done a massive destruction and Sri Lanka economy is very badly affected by this.
