Re: [Linux-HA] Heartbeat interfaces questions
Oh, i think i got it now! I guess i was setting the wrong name for the constraint, in the atrribute i was seeting the pingdresourcename, but it has to be only pingd right ? At least is working now. Re: [Linux-HA] Heartbeat interfaces questions
Look, i am not getting it to work. I already made a pingd conective clone in all nodes. But now i can not get an location to work. Can you help me ? I set an constraint > location > Conectivity and this has resource, my loadbalancer group resources, The score is - infinity and the atribute is my pingd clone with operator less than value. And my pingd need both conectivity working so the score is same as value. any help ? Ok, thanks, I am using heartbeat 2.1.3 on a CentOS release 5.5 (Final) And i using crm respaw, i guess it uses peacemaker. crm_mon and etc. So, i guess you are saying that is possible to do what i want, using constraint. Can you give me a litle more information about suject ? Maybe some where i can find man and stuff ? I will try add this But i am not quite sure what you said. So i have to add an location containind my resource ? How do i make this Count ? i am not to familiared with peacemaker. Thanks. Hi again, I've have a look in the external/sdb device, it seems to be useful only if we don't use a "by network" fencing solution , so as I'm using fence_ipmilan, perhaps this shared device is not useful in my case , right ? Not strictly true. Some sort of fencing is required, but to my knowledge it doesn't have to be SFEX. lmb: can you comment? > > The primitive to use (sdb_stonith) is configured with > "stonith:external/sbd". > > But I'm on rhel6, and all stonith functionnalities have been removed by > RH, justified that > RH delivers similar fencing agents . > (remember : we already have discuss about fence_ipmilan problems > and you gave me a workaround to make it working with Pacemaker > (pcmk_host_check=none) ) > > So there is no stonith:external/sbd script available, even no more > /usr/sbin/stonith binary delivered on RHEL6. Correct, on RHEL6 we only have the fencing devices used by the rest of RHCS. Management didn't like the idea of maintaining two overlapping sets. > So do I reach a dead-end for OCFS2 under Pacemaker on RHEL6 ? On RHEL6 you're probably better off with GFS2 - at least that way you're likely to have a supported configuration eventually. But as to your specific problem, you could either use one of the RH fencing agents or re-build cluster-glue to include SFEX. ___ Linux-HA mailing list Linux-HA@lists.linux-ha.org http://lists.linux-ha.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-ha See also: http://linux-ha.org/ReportingProblems
Re: [Linux-HA] About OCFS2 and Pacemaker
Hi Andrew, sorry to come again on this subject, I was about to switch to OCFS2 in Pacemaker but : For configuration , I'm using the documentation "Oracle Cluster File System 2", I think it is always correct/valid ? It seems that o2cb/dlm need an external/sdb (with /dev/sdb2 partition) "for heatbeating and fencing". The primitive to use (sdb_stonith) is configured with "stonith:external/sbd". But I'm on rhel6, and all stonith functionnalities have been removed by RH, justified that RH delivers similar fencing agents . (remember : we already have discuss about fence_ipmilan problems and you gave me a workaround to make it working with Pacemaker (pcmk_host_check=none) ) So there is no stonith:external/sbd script available, even no more /usr/sbin/stonith binary delivered on RHEL6. So do I reach a dead-end for OCFS2 under Pacemaker on RHEL6 ? Or do you think there is a workaround ? Thanks for your precious help.
