 still haven’t been able to identify what happened. All of the hoses are 
intact, the radiator still has coolant, no strangeness in the engine bay. I was 
driving it around 11 pmand wasn’t worried about the gauges. Never had a problem 
with it before. I noticed it having a hard time accelerating, and when i 
checked the temp, i saw It was on red. I immediatley Pulled over and the motor 
started smoking (or possibly steaming?) real bad. No compression now.

Agreed.

Sounds like a pumper carb with bad pump diaphragm or one way flapper valves in 
the fuel pump section of the carb.

The primer bulb just pumps gas through the fuel line into the carb. If the 
primer draws gas through the carb, the carb should be getting gas without it.

Is there a weight on the end of the fuel line? Did it fall off?
New gas eats gas lines. My snowmobiles only get tygon fuel lines and my 
chainsaw only gets bottled gas. Its more expensive but it lasts well so I end 
up wasting way less of it.

Mine turned out to be hard fuel lines leaking air - try replacing the fuel
lines first - cheap and easy to do. Replace the carb if that doesn't fix it.

I can check that, this is a really small engine, 31cc, for a weed wacker.  I 
think there is some filter.  Two different lines from the fuel tank, one goes 
to squeeze bulb and the other direct to carb, so I can see how a clogged filter 
could do that.

What Dan said. The dipstick has nothing to engage the top of the tube, you 
shove it down until it hits the pan and measure up from there. 
But whatever you shove down that tube needs to be super clean. 
And you'll need a new red lock pin for the cap when you put it back on.

A piece of wire will suffice. All you need to know is the dimension for the 
fluid height from the end of the wire based on temperature.  As far as I know 
the dipstick for the 722.6xx transmissions is a single part, that is, I’m not 
aware of there being different ones.

If you want I can measure mine when I get home and post the measurements.

3. One of the names GM uses for the Red Hot paint on my 2016 Chevy is Pull Me 
Over Red. 
4. What's the lifespan on R129 spheres? I used to figure 5-10 years on S123 and

[MBZ] Transmission Dipstick for my W210

What is the correct part number for a dipstick for my 98 E300D? I’ve called 
three dealers and got three different numbers. All of which I left work on my 
desk. I got to get a dipstick.
When the car is cold and I driveaway out of my driveway and make the first stop 
at the end of the street. When I started from that stuff I can feel it 
slipping. Once it warms up it quits. Of course the obvious thing is to check 
the fluid level but I need a damn dipstick.

want to say $6300, and CoPart's buyer fees are higher than BAT's.

I wonder how hard it would be to back-fit a 124 car with a re-build-able
monovalve from a 123 or 126.  Anyone have two "on the shelf" to make a
quick comparison of things like inlet / outlet hose diameter?  I'll bet
that the electrical characteristics are close enough to not make a
difference, but that's just a guess.
