They also do it with the lowest attendance in the league, too, in one of the
crappiest venues as well.

Owners tried to rape us recently when they wanted Tampa to build them an $800M
stadium. They said they would pay for $200M of it.

We told them to stuff it.

I have been using grease to seal power and signal connections

A soldered western-union type joint with grease and shrink

Tried putting tar paper on top of them last fall in the hopes that it

The tar paper did not help.
This fall, I think I am going to smear on a good thick coat of wax and
leave it unbuffed until spring and see if that helps.
I bought some Boeshield spray and have been using that at home on the

Re: [MBZ] Weather

2013-05-21 Thread Randy Bennell

Yes, all drained every fall. Have not had any issues for years but this
spring has been slow in coming.
Going to replace all of the plumbing under the cottage anyway so will
improve the flow for drainage and make sure there are no pockets where a
bit of water might remain.
Going to install a filter too I think as we get little bits of stuff
that plug small holes. A lot of taps now have pretty small openings and
it takes very little to stop the flow.
I was out over the weekend and got everything working but the flow is
not great in a couple of spots and I wonder if they are partly plugged.
Tried to take apart the bath valve but decided it was tool old and might
break. Blew backwards through the spigot with air and got much better
flow but nothing significant came out so I fear it may settle back into
the small openings in the valve.
In the process of installing a new tub so this one will be torn out and
tossed in any event soon. New tub is in and I need to tile the surround.

My younger son went out this morning.

My son is having trouble getting the water to work. There must be a spot
where it is still frozen.
I will take the heat gun along on Saturday and thaw out the spot that I
suspect must be the issue.
I told Tom to take it with him but he did not think he would need it.
The water level in the lake is about normal for this time of year.

Not so good, and likely getting worse given it has rained for days.
Winnipeg not quite so bad as out at the lake.
Going to have to sand the rust off of the table saw, jointer and drill
press again.
Tried putting tar paper on top of them last fall in the hopes that it
might help given that I noticed that spots where some item was left
sitting did not rust underneath the item.

The tar paper did not help.
This fall, I think I am going to smear on a good thick coat of wax and
leave it unbuffed until spring and see if that helps.
I bought some Boeshield spray and have been using that at home on the
milling machine but I don't know as though I want to spray it on the
woodworking tools.

We had 3.26 gas a couple weeks ago then it went to 3.54 overnight!
Usually they take 3-4 days to make that big of a jump. They are
testing our tolerance again. May I remind you that memorial day is
coming, and the tradition is for the okieTX oel companies to gouge us
royally for Mem Day, 4th of July , labor day and
Thanksgiving/Christmas, cuz they know people will travel and pay any
price for fuel, because the plans are generally made in advance. The
global oel cos are smart enough to try to maintain these traditions,
and if they are not, the distributors are.

Once I hit Missery, the prices dropped a dime, and continued to drop
the further south I went. Saw 3.17 today.

And then there's the fact that certain data got changed by the proponents of the
warming theory. As in claiming a data point is one temp when it's the new data,
and then lowering it later, when it's the old data, so the trend remains

Yes, we have a Bush for president who causes global cooling, or
state-wide cooling, or is it warming in Canada relative to
Arkansas and

other places.

I'm so confused I can't remember exactly which it is, but I do
know it
is his fault because he didn't sign that treaty, and that got the
French

people mad at us and they are sending that Evian flu thing around.

Yup - helped Dad start the R755 Jacobs in the Cessna 195 one new years
day in MN at -30F. Not much wind, luckly. With the straight W50 oil in
the crankcase, we couldn't move the prop by hanging on it. Had to warm
it with a space heater and tarp for an hour, shovel out the shattered
frozen battery, and run the Southwind gasoline heater in the cabin (5
gal. oil tank in there under the instrument panel) to get it to start.

The take-off run sure was short though --
