Actually, they aren't all that different than Weezer when it comes down to it. I still wouldn't put them in the same category, but I dont think such a comment was called for... Maybe its just me, but that kinda pissed me off. thanks *j* boulder co ...forgive me for running off to find the one thing I had to do

In a message dated 6/19/00 3:38:21 PM Mountain Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << Does anyone when weezer opened for no doubt? i will never understand such things! .bagel. >> Ahh, i remember that... They played here at Red Rocks Amphitheater and it rained for the whole Weezer set, so it was really short and wet. Tickets were too much to begin with, and then we only got to hear a few songs. We didn't even stay for No Doubt...it was a kind of disappointing event. Hopefully they will come again and headline, and I think The Get Up Kids would be great to see as well...however, I dont know how I feel about those two bands together... *j* boulder co remember to remember to forget you forgot me

Re: [MMouse]: az heat
There is no music scene in Breckenridge...the closest is Denver and or Boulder...about an hour and a half either way. The town in itself is really cool and a great place to live, but as far as a music scene goes, they might have a music store that sells records... jae

[MMouse]: bad bad news for bright eyes fans
I just got off of the phone with radio 1190 (303 492 1190) and the news is that someone got food poisoning and there will be NO show tomorrow night at the 15th st tavern. It is also assumed that there will be no show tonight at 156. This is the info that I got, she told me that if I was in town anyway just to stop by 156 tonight and see, but chances are slim. Give them a call and if anyone hears any more info let me know. *j* boulder colorado [EMAIL PROTECTED]

So, can anyone tell me if this is just a rumor or if it will actually happen...I have heard a whole lotta both recently- Are Modest Mouse and Built to Spill going to play together at the Bluebird in Denver on May 3rd? And also...Why did DNSS cancel their show here? One more thing...what is this rumored Halo Benders show at the Raven? (last one) did anyone see the Pinehurst kids on Thursday? Please dont tell me things I dont want to hear... *j* Boulder Colorado [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- you wanna go for some ice cream? --

K doesnt just sell things that have been put out under their label, they also distribute. I am willing to bet that what you saw will indeed be the album released on Epic, but avalible to purchase thru K. they are on Saddle Creek Records www.saddle-creek.com its really nice *j*
[MMouse]: Conor
Yea, Park Ave is a really awesome band too...they broke up for a while, but then another label found their stuff and they did put out a full LP just recently. I am very excited to hear more from them. Conor is actually in a lot of the saddlecreek bands. The faint is another band off that label that I really enjoy...if you listen carefully I bet you will recognize that voice as well...they have a new LP out too... *j* "...I never said I'd die for love... ...but I would..."

[MMouse]: Bright Eyes
You can find anything you would ever like to know about Bright Eyes on their label's web site...Saddlecreekrecords.com Its a nice little program out of Nebraska. There is info about tons of other bands that are worth checking out. [MMouse]: lil' conor
I have been a big fan of Bright Eyes, they played a little show here at the University and it was incredibly entertaining. I got to meet conor and he was so nice and quiet. There are a lot of bands on saddle creek records that are worth checking out. There is a great sampler that has a lot of good tracks on it, you can get it for about $5. He just sat on that little stage all timid and quiet and then just poured his heart out on his acoustic guitar...I loved their album, but the show was unbeatable... *J* Boulder, Colorado *went to San Diego, the birthplace of the summer- and watched the ocean dance under the moon. [MMouse]: funny thing continued
not only did they play flaming lips, but if you would have stayed for a couple more minutes you would have heard some Built To Spill. I was kinda disturbed. I must agree with you in saying that Built to Spill is definitely one great band...second only to Modest Mouse. I am looking forward to their shows this weekend...only I hate attending them by myself. Is there any one out there in the Denver, Boulder, or just plain Colorado area that wouldn't mind going with me every once and a while? I'm really not that bad of a girl... thanks, *J*
