And how do you sign? Are you using some macro or are you using the compose menu, and do you expect it to be PGP/MIME or traditional? I sign from the compose menu by hitting 'p' and then 's' (unless I'm replying to a signed message, in which case it automatically signs it). As for the PHP/MIME vs traditional part...I'm not sure what the difference is. Mutt is indeed selecting the approriate key based upon recipient, but the problem is that you have two keys, one for signing and another for encryping and all mutt knows is that there were two matches :/ Mutt apparently cannot differentiate between the two different key types and so falls back to asking you for clarification. The pgp/gpg interface has received a dramatic overhaul and improvement since 1.0.

I dont think noone has their keys on keyservers nowadays, so I must be doing something wrong .. you probably need the rsa/idea extensions. search the contrib directories and follow the instructions in the lone {idea,rsa}.c files you'll find. these extensions are compiles as position independant code and loaded as dynamic libraries. you add load-extension {idea, rsa} to ~/.gnupg/options and you're set. oh, watch gpg --version afterwards! better than ice-cream, close to beeing an astronaut! clemens
