Curtis, the reason why innodb.com was unreachable for some time on Friday was that Oracle web administrators moved the DNS records to an Oracle domain server. The registrar of innodb.com is Tucows, and I believe the admins made some error which caused Tucows to set renewyourname.net as the domain server, which made innodb.com to show as a Google search page. I am sorry for the inconvenience this caused for InnoDB users. Concerning the MySQL AB - Innobase Oy OEM contract, it was renewed in spring 2006. They tried to buy MySQL, but when they couldn't they bought up the two pieces of software that gave MySQL ACID transactions (innodb and Berkely (sp?)). They will renegotiate the contract, but make it very expensive for MySQL to license. You don't honestly think Oracle is going to be honest about this do you? They have absolutely no interest in helping MySQL survive. Sounds pretty fishy to me no matter what they're saying publicly. I look for them to kill the product to try to drive MySQL out of business or make life difficult for them; hence the reason they're working on a new storage engine of their own. Depending on when Heikki and the InnoDB team moved the DNS records, it could take between 24 and 48 hours to propogate throughout the entire internet. InnoDB-3.23.50 source prerelease downloadable from www.innodb.com
Hi! Since there has been a delay in the release of MySQL-3.23.50, due to problems with the gcc-3.0.4 compiler, Innobase Oy has decided to give out a source prerelease of InnoDB-3.23.50. It can be downloaded from http://www.innodb.com. SHOW CREATE TABLE or mysqldump do not list the FOREIGN KEYs in this prerelease because that requires a small change also in the MySQL part of code. InnoDB-3.23.41b source released at www.innodb.com: the BLOB bug fixed

Since I heard Monty is in Sweden, which will probably delay the release of 3.23.42 still a couple of days, I decided to release the InnoDB-3.23.41b source at my website http://www.innodb.com right now. The release fixes the bad BLOB bug where any update of the primary key of a > 8000-byte row corrupted the table. It is best that you reimport your tables which have > 8000-byte rows. InnoDB Monitor is now divided into innodb_monitor, innodb_lock_monitor, and innodb_tablespace_monitor. See the online manual at http://www.innodb.com for details.
