a quel punto editi XF86Config-4 e modifichi quelli troppo conservativi

remoto... nel mio caso mail.inwind.it:25
creare quelche filtro anti spam in procmail.
Aaa proposito...
superato i filtri?

It doesn't like your GCC compiler, or complains you haven't got one
installed,
do this,

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# rpm -qa | grep gcc
gcc-c++-3.2.2-3mdk
gcc-cpp-3.2.2-3mdk

I just tried it with opera and it worked:

 Is that the problem?

Greetings, I have downloaded dillo-0.7.3-1mdk.i586.rpm from Todd @

fine, but I can't seem to get the open in external browser option to

This version is patched to have this option, but I can't find how to
  enable it.

Can anyone help me out with this little problem? Any dillo users out

Thank you Eric, yes, my problem was that I was looking for the option open in
external browser when I righted clicked a link. ;-)
If I r-c in a blank area of a page, the option is indeed there, and opera will open
the current page when clicked. :-)

Thanks so much for the help. This list is such a blessing for us newbies.

I found my problem Ralph, thanks to Eric. Thank you for your response however.
I was incorrectly expecting to find the open in external browser option presented
when right clicking links. It is available when r-c'ing a blank space of the page you
want to open externally.

Which version of dillo are you currently using? dillo-0.7.3 was the latest version I
could find on the net, and Todd has this one patched, and offered on his web site.

I find dillo pretty cool, but the open in external browser option is a must for me.
Dillo is hot for Googling!

And of course they're arrogant - most US based businesses can't be

Else, if you don't want to give SCO USD or Guiness, you can charge for
body fluids. Body fluids are rather expensive; you can drain the
contents of your stomach into a zip-lock bag and send that to'em - it's
obviously worthwhile to a scientist or biologist somewhere - there would
be enough value placed on it with them - so why not with SCO?

That's at least another option - so now you have USD, Guiness, or a bag

Thanks for the reply. Which KDE printer icon (where?) are talking about? I've
got one on my desktop, that I had to add myself, Mandrake did not do it
during installation. I can l-click or r-click on it, doesn't bring up
anything with an HTML settings tab.

Thanks.

[newbie] external Firewire harddrive

2003-08-22 Thread Julien Sobrier
Hello
I have a C810 Dell laptop (same as Inspiron 8100) and and external
Firewire HardDrive. This HD used to work properly (it was automatically
detected during the installation of MDK 9.0): /dev/sda1 to /dev/sda5
were mounted as /dev/fire1 to /dev/fire5. Then, I didn't use it for a
couple of weeks: the HD was no longer plugged to the laptop.

I wanted to use it this week. But there is a problem: /dev/sda* are not
present. I checked the HD on a PC Windows, it works well.

I followed the explanations on

http://www.linux1394.org/faq.html#sbp2 and
http://www.linux1394.org/sbp2.html.

Here is what I did:
_the nodes /dev/raw1394 and /dev/video1394 already existed
_modprobe ohci1394 raw1394
_used the script to scan the SCSI devices
(http://www.linux1394.org/sbp2.html): only the DVD is displayed

Here are some messages:

I have a 17 TFT screen. Its great..and keep in mind a 17 is
equivalnet to an 18 CRT. NOt sure why has somethign to do witht eh way
the bezel lines up the screen...Just don't expect to game with it.

and a 19 in canada is still pricy.. I paid $500 on sale at Xmas last
year for this one.. the TFT came in @ about $500 too.

So they are still expensive either way...but and LCD is brighter
smaller.. so its really your choice there. But native resolution means
that it can't go higher w/out looking like shit. Or lower for that
matter. Which kinda sucks for some stuff like games certain apps
(Gimp for example if you want to run it higher).

Look mate, $199 USD roughly comes up to 100 schooners for Guiness. Maybe
you should consider paying SCO in schooners of Guiness instead of USD?
And of course they're arrogant - most US based businesses can't be

they're generally of the mindset that there ain't nothing outside of the
US except for trinkets and beads and 15 foot stone wheels used for
money...(all this coming from an ex-yank living in Oz, ay?)

I have had a look at using red-carpet, but not sure it has up to date sources

By doing something about the situation, all of us are showing a

you're paying for your linux by at least standing up and doing something
