Not sure about my home pc but I think it is about 1 gb, my works one is 1 gb, so it might be the problem. Tony. -Original Message- From: Ronald J. If the term Extraction actually applies to a sort of decompression then I would think that would be the problem righ there. Isn't the file like around 250MB? Also, should there be a none on the FS for /tmp? How does this /tmp compare to the other computers that this worked with? Fixing this now might help u down the road ;) Not sure about the fs for /tmp, to be honest. I'm gonna look at /tmp on my other 2 comps today. BTW, I know you were saying something to someone else on the list about messages not going thru. I can't receive any thing from you on Yahoo... Fortunately I have other ways of reading the list... I think its an ISP thing - charter.net here has been having a few problems for about a week - they told us (automated message on their helpline) that they are aware of it and are working on it. Lyvim and I came to the conclusion that yahoo might have them blacklisted for now. Hopefully it will be corrrected soon. Yeah I'm running the download version of 9.1. Neither Enemy Territory or America's Army gave me problems... Any ideas what the prob could be? Would a rebuild of MDK be feasible? BTW, have you also checked your disk space - especially in /tmp? -Original Message- From: Ronald J. Anyways, just out of curiosity - are you running the boxed set or the download version of v9.1? I've got the d/l version here - and I had the same problem with Enemy Territory. Are you talking about the quagmire in Iraq? -Original Message- From: Ronald J. I d/l'ed the file (504 megs), set it to be executable, then ran it as root (I also tried my normal user account). It gives this error: [EMAIL PROTECTED] darklord]# sh armyops190-linux.bin Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing America's Army: Operations for GNU/Linux 1.9.0...Extraction failed. Signal caught, cleaning up I also tried running it with ./armyops190-linux.bin Same result. I copied it to the other 2 comps and tried it there. It would not work on my 12 yr olds, but it did try on my 10 yr olds (wouldn't install though - it takes 1307 megs of space and he's got a smallish HD split between Linux and Windows). The question is, why wouldn't it install on: Mandrake v9.1 download edition Mandrake v9.0 full boxed set but would install on: Mandrake v9.0 download edition: ???
