What *is* the problem is the ability to arrange the pages with 1 & 24 on one side and 23 & 2 on the other, so that when they are folded they scan correctly. Few WP programs can do this well, and DTP programs that can tend to be expensive. I use PagePlus under Win4Lin to get round the problem, but it would be nice to have a native linux app. Anne - -- Registered Linux User No.293302 Have you visited http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org yet? -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFARIDWkFAvMr/nNX8RAgXcAJ43+2ARbPNDpv1i0fuFeKJW5vDIKwCfRyRn jK0/9I8ndinNzGy3CBQaYd4= =VbAW -END PGP SIGNATURE- Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Anne, I take it you have a double sided printer? After a quick look at scribus it does not seem to do the double sided printing, but that could be because it know's my printer will not do double sided. You could always put the paper back in the printer and print on the other side. It was downloading the complete 3 CD "Download Version" to which I was referring. There's no problem with downloading just individual programs, but with my limited connect time, downloading the complete distro in bits would take weeks!!! Cheers Keith Same for me, the 3 CD's of the download take 10-14 days depending upon how much I'm permitted to monopolise the internet connection. So Mandrake testing isn't that much of a practical proposition even if I could update the urpmi header lists, and go that route, the risk of cutoff is too high to be practicable. I usually end up monopolising the internet connection twice a year for a fortnight each time though. Did scribus need and dependencies ? just out of interest. No Problem Keith. Glad I was able to offer some useful info. Just another suggestion, but you might want to talk to a friend or neighbor who has high-speed and download the CD's for yourself thru them. I didn't realize that you had purchased your set. Must be a set with a shrunk-down list of packages. Lanman Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com
