A quick google search shows that the gate is based on 2.24:

and that it was integrated around build 99:

I'm not sure that's on-topic for any OpenSolaris list (why would Sun's
marketing be an open source issue?), but if it is, I'd guess that'd
also be something for the desktop group.

but how about Solaris?
Maybe there is possible Sun Microsystems to sponsor Jungo driver development 
tools to allow them to use for free.
I see that driver adoption is very slow.

The GNOME 2.23.91 is integrated into nevada 99 and 2.23.92 for nevada 
100 and 2.24.0 is scheduled for nevada 101.

I believe this has been discussed before somewhere in the 
desktop-discuss alias. As you may have noticed that the desktop choices 
on the login manager has already been moved away from JDS :) (not sure 
since what build)

It will be available in OpenSolaris 2008.11, and SXCE/Nevada b101.
