[otrs] Auto Login - Windows

2006-10-19 Thread David Hathiramani

Dear List,

Is there a way to
make OTRS auto-login using windows authentication if you are already logged into
windows using the same username and password as you would log into OTRS
with?

Thanks

David

Re: [otrs] Auto Login - Windows

2006-10-19 Thread Philip Mark Donaghy
Hi David, Sorry I don't have the answer to your request but I am
looking for a similar single sign on solution. We've integrated otrs
into the Apache Portals Jetspeed Project. This runs on Apache Tomcat.
So my question for the list is what forms of authentication, i.e.
services are available?

Thanks,

Hi there,

Hi !

If you guys didn't notice, I have published the OTRS Virtual Appliance for VMware. Please check out my blog OR got to VMware's site http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/591

I have created a virtual image too, with otrs 2.0.4 and apache 1.3 and
apache 2.0, including a nice WebGui with preconfigured users and one
admin. Mailfunctions and all modules are enabled. Additionally a simple
Backup feature for playing with the system. The (german !) website is
here http://www.otrs-forum.de/viewtopic.php?t=384 and my documentation
is here  http://chektrion.de/index.php?debian-otrs

The next version of teh image is without a GUI only the console tools
and with 1.3, 2.0.4 and 2.1 otrs version. This means with all stable
otrs versions with apache 1.3 and 2.0 . Useable in one image.

The main idea of this image was to provide a simple and restorable
system for developers and for persons who will play with otrs for the
first time.

Perhaps in one of the next releases with sirios support..

Take a short look at this image and feel free to report wishes and bugs ;-)

Well, I prefer Debian or Ubunto Gentoo would be great too I
think it is as with all virtual appliances: you have to use what is
available or build your own and if your setup was quite general, you can
send in your appliance as well.

I'm thankfull for the availability of this appliance. Now I can easily

It is very simple.

version 1: Plug any mobile phone to OTRS server, and install email2sms
gateway software.
version 2: Ask your mobile phone provider, is there any service?

[otrs] How to get the 'Auto Response From:' to take effect?

2006-10-19 Thread s taylor

Hello.

How to get the 'Auto Response From:' to take effect?

I have the queues set up with the correct 'Systemaddress' which works fine.
What I don't want is the 'Systemaddress' to be displayed in the 'From' of an
E-mail in 'default reply' until it is known that the ticket sender is
'legitimate'. Therefore, I added a 'noreply' address in ''Auto Response
From:'.

For the E-mail set up in 'PostmasterPOP3' for the queue, I have for
'Dispatching', 'Dispatching by selected Queue' which also works fine. All
incoming mail goes to their respective queues.

How come the ''Auto Response From:' E-mail address is being ignored (not
taking effect)?

Thanks in advance.

[otrs] FAQ Syntax Error

2006-10-19 Thread Dirk Enrique Seiffert
I am on a new install of otrs-2.1.2-01.i386.rpm with postgres on SUSE

When I try to create a category following error apears:

Similar error here, versión 1.0.8 of the FAQ module with

[otrs] Microsoft SQL Server - how to you set it up?

2006-10-19 Thread Graham Leggett

Hi all,

According to all the announcements found by Google, OTRS now supports
the MSSQL database, yay!

The problem I am having is that this support has not seemed to make its
way into any documentation of any kind.

Two questions I am trying to answer are:

- What perl modules are needed?

- What is the value of $Self-{DatabaseDSN}?

In other words, what goes after DBI:...?

[otrs] Can't get OTRS to use setting in Kernel/Config.pm

2006-10-19 Thread Brad Ummer
Dear List-

I'm new to OTRS and am trying to get it configured. Two things that I'd like
to do seem to involve making modification to the Kernel/Config.pm file, but I
can't get them to do anything. I think I've made the correct changes, but OTRS
doesn't seem to be any different. First, I wanted to enable the long listing
of ticket history. I followed the instructions here:

http://www.mail-archive.com/otrs@otrs.org/msg02584.html

and added this to my otrs/Kernel/Config.pm file:

$Self-{TicketZoomExpand} = 1;

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any difference when I zoom the ticket.
A screenshot of what I'm seeing is here:

http://www.fsmxserve1.com/temp20061019/OTRS_screen_v1.png

I thought that each of the six messages back and forth would all be displayed
on this page. Am I misunderstanding how this should be working, or am I doing
something wrong?

I'm also trying to alter how answers are generated when based on a response.
Right now if I create a response, it appears under the Compose Answer (email)
list. Thenk if I click on that response link, it displays the response
template along with a quoted copy of the ticket the user submitted. I'd like
it not to include the user's response at all. I followed these instructions:

http://www.mail-archive.com/otrs@otrs.org/msg01541.html

And inserted this into Kernel/Config.pm:

$Self-{ResponseFormat} = '$Data{Salutation}
$Data{StdResponse}
#$Data{OrigFrom} $Text{wrote}:
$Data{Body}
$Data{Signature}
';

I thought this would prevent the 'OrigFrom' and 'wrote' from appearing (since I
have them commented out), but it didn't seem to make any difference. Again, am
I misunderstanding how this should work, or am I missing something else.
Thanks in advance for your help.

My agent is going to kill me if I can't figure out a way to make printing
tickets behave as it used to in 1.3. We don't want OTRS to create PDFs when
we want to print a ticket. How can I get the Print button to present the
printable layout in a window?

And how can I adjust the printable layout's design so that there isn't a
grey background?

[otrs] Put ticket Print link in QueueView?

2006-10-19 Thread Wes Plate
 I would like to put a print link in Queueview, so that I don't have to first
 zoom in to a ticket in order to print it. How can this be done?

 By editing the DTL files. If you use the default theme, open the files
 ~otrs/Kernel/Output/HTML/Standard/TicketViewLite.dtl and TicketView.dtl
 and add the following line to the list of links:

 a href=$Env{Baselink}Action=AgentTicketPrintTicketID=$Data{TicketID}
 onmouseover=window.status='$Text{Print}'; return true;$Text{Print}/a
 -

This doesn't seem to work now in 2.1.2, I am looking at the DTL files and my
print code is still there but I don't see the print link.

Where can I make the change in 2.1.2 so that I have the Print link in
QueueView and AgentTicktMailbox views?

$Self-{TicketZoomExpand} = 1;

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any difference when I zoom
the ticket. A screenshot of what I'm seeing is here:

I thought that each of the six messages back and forth would all be
displayed on this page. Am I misunderstanding how this should be
working, or am I doing something wrong?

You're doing something wrong. Remove the line you added and set Admin
- SysConfig - Ticket - Frontend::Agent::Ticket::ViewZoom -
Ticket::Frontend::ZoomExpand: yes

Re: [otrs-de] Problem bei Authentifizierung eines Kunden Benutzer gegenLDAP

2006-10-19 Thread Nico Grubert

* Suche nach Deinen Kriterien (z.B. Subject entspricht ^Abwesen.*)
* Setze X-OTRS-Ignore auf yes

Authentifizierung beim LDAP-Server first bind failed nicht fkt.

(First Bind zum durchsuchen

[Nachname] [Vorname] ([E-Mail bzw. Login])

Ich würde gerne in dieser Ausgabe zw. Nachname und Vorname ein Komma (,)
setzten.
Kann mir jemand sagen, an welchem Template bzw. in welchem Skript man da
editieren muss?
