I would be glad to get an answer so I can open a bug on OTRS Bugzilla if

Hello,

I am new to OTRS and I am trying to get my test environment stable before rolling it out to our technical support team for help desk operations. Apache is exiting unexpectedly after approximately 3 hours when I have two agent clients connected to the server with the QueueView page displayed. The page is refreshing on a 2 minute interval in each Internet Explorer window. If I don’t have any agents connected then Apache does not exit unexpectedly. I have not changed the Apache configuration from what the installer configured. The Apache error log is below from the time Apache was started till the time it exited. I did a search on Google and it looks like other users have had similar issues, but all the text is in German and all I can make out is the Apache logs. Hopefully someone has a solution.

I have installed OTRS 2.1.7 using the installer “otrs-2.1.7-001-win32.exe” into the following VMWare Server environment.

[otrs] Re: Possible bug with CustomerCompany preferences

2007-07-17 Thread Laurent Minost
Hi,

Just done a debug test with mysql request log activated, we can see that
there is a malformed syntax on the SQL Query sent by OTRS 2.2.1 when
changing CustomerID of Customer Company :

UPDATE customer_company SET customer_id = 'Google', name = 'Google',
street = '3 allée machin',  zip = '75020',  city = 'Paris',  country =
'United States', url = 'http://www.google.fr', comments =
'Commentaire', valid_id = 1, change_time = current_timestamp,
change_by = 1  WHERE LOWER(customer_id) = LOWER('Google')

Value of customer_id in clause WHERE should NOT be the NEW one but the
OLD customer ID.

Thank you!

The problem is that it doesn't save...

After making the change in sysconfig/framework/core/FQDN and then click
Update at the bottom of the page, the page then refreshes to have
fc4 in the FQDN field and not what I changed to. Under the FQDN field
the default is my actual FQDN (DEFAULT: helpdesk.domainname.com)

The check-box on the left of the section is grey.

I have about 4 hours trying to fix this problem!

This is a OTRS 2.1.1 Virtual Appliance

RE: No-one has setup the FQDN??? RE: [otrs] FQDN Not Being Set -

Hi,

You probably already have a FQDN set under your configuration file :

 $Self-{'FQDN'} = 'yourhost.example.com';

Did you check on Kernel/Config.pm configuration file please ?

 under Framework - Core).

I have set it in otrs/Kernal/Config.pm and in ZZZAuto.pm but the

Hello,

I am new to OTRS and I am trying to get my test environment
stable before rolling it out to our technical support team for help desk
operations. Apache is exiting unexpectedly after approximately 3 hours
when I have two agent clients connected to the server with the QueueView

Apache does not exit unexpectedly. I have not changed the Apache

i am using otrs on windows small business server 2003. i am also getting the same message in error log. we have given restart after failure. but that can be done only thrice. but the apache server seems to be failing approximately every 3 hours.
i have chosen to reset the error counter in a day. but even then i am not able to avoid failure.
when you open mulitple sessions is one of your session idle?? in that case try changing the kill session time in the sysconfig in otrs. i have just tried that. but can see the effect only tom.
if you have any updates please let me know

we need to download the new (older perl) build (2.2.1-002-win32.exe) for
me.

Hi @ all

We found the reason of this problem. A bug in ActivePerl 5.8.8.820 was
the
reason of the error.

We downgraded ActivePerl to version 5.8.8.819 and it works fine now!

Affected Packages:
  -otrs-2.0.5-001-win32.exe
  -otrs-2.1.7-001-win32.exe
  -otrs-2.2.1-001-win32.exe

Improved Packages:
  -otrs-2.0.5-002-win32.exe
  -otrs-2.1.7-002-win32.exe
  -otrs-2.2.1-002-win32.exe

Best regards,
Manuel Hecht

Is there a way to omit quoted test?

When using pre-defined responses, the response is copied to the end of
 mail, which is very annoying.

Look at:

Admin-Area:

- Search for responseformat
- Go to: Ticket::Frontend::ResponseFormat:

Hope this helps.

Re: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChild (found problem)

2007-07-17 Thread Steven Carr
You could also try setting MaxRequestsPerChild in httpd.conf to 0 this
will prevent the process from being restarted after X requests.

The only disadvantages are:
Setting MaxRequestsPerChild to a non-zero limit has two beneficial effects:

 - it limits the amount of memory that process can consume by (accidental)
 memory leakage;
 - by giving processes a finite lifetime, it helps reduce the number of
processes when the server load reduces.

So you might want to schedule an Apache service restart maybe once a
week, once a day depending on how tidy OTRS is with memory usage.

OTRS is picking up the actual sytem's FQDN. I'm not a Fedora user

RE: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChild (found problem)

2007-07-17 Thread Ron Plasse
Hello,

This one ended up being a little tricky to solve. In http.conf the
setting MaxRequestsPerChild is set to zero. However at the end of
http.conf is an include statement that points to
DRIVE/OTRS/otrs/scripts/apache2-httpd-new.include.conf. In the file
apache2-httpd-new.include.conf the parameter MaxRequestsPerChild is
set to 400. I have set this to zero and the issue went away.

shows that the system sent a reply back to follow-ups or new tickets

all in the zoom view? I tried searching the archives and in the system
config and couldn't find anything.

Also is there away to remove all the other languages of
notifications in Notification Management. For example, I only need it
to show the en::add::your::notification::here. I don't need the
others... if I can't remove them no biggie but if I can that would be

Pass, not too sure, have you thought about upgrading to a newer version
of fedora? just incase there is some bug/issue with that particular
version of fedora, not sure how many (if any) others are using FC4 for

[otrs-de] Tickets verschmelzen

2007-07-17 Thread Rothe

Hallo,

richtigen Ticket zuordnet?

Schau in der SysConfig unter

Config Einstellungen: Ticket - Core::PostMaster

Dort findest du die relevanten Einstellungen. Ggf. liegt es aber auch
daran, dass die Ticketnummern der Systeme ähnlich/gleich sind, so dass es
Unklarheiten mit der Zuordnung gibt.

Beste Grüße und HTH

Rico
