RE: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChild
i am using otrs on windows small business server 2003. i am also getting the same message in error log. we have given restart after failure. but that can be done only thrice. but the apache server seems to be failing approximately every 3 hours. i have chosen to reset the error counter in a day. but even then i am not able to avoid failure. when you open mulitple sessions is one of your session idle?? in that case try changing the kill session time in the sysconfig in otrs. i have just tried that. but can see the effect only tom. if you have any updates please let me know thank you From: "Dan Gardiner" [EMAIL PROTECTED]Reply-To: "User questions and discussions about OTRS.org" otrs@otrs.orgTo: "'User questions and discussions about OTRS.org'" otrs@otrs.orgSubject: RE: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChildDate: Tue, 17 Jul 2007 06:43:56 -0400 I'm also observing the same behaviour We aretesting OTRS 2.2.1 over Windows XP [Fri Jul 13 13:27:41 2007] [notice] Child 3884: Process exiting because it reached MaxRequestsPerChild. Re: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChild (found problem)
You could also try setting MaxRequestsPerChild in httpd.conf to 0 this will prevent the process from being restarted after X requests. The only disadvantages are: Setting MaxRequestsPerChild to a non-zero limit has two beneficial effects: - it limits the amount of memory that process can consume by (accidental) memory leakage; - by giving processes a finite lifetime, it helps reduce the number of processes when the server load reduces. So you might want to schedule an Apache service restart maybe once a week, once a day depending on how tidy OTRS is with memory usage. RE: [otrs] Apache ERROR: MaxRequestsPerChild (found problem)
Hello, This one ended up being a little tricky to solve. In http.conf the setting MaxRequestsPerChild is set to zero. However at the end of http.conf is an include statement that points to DRIVE/OTRS/otrs/scripts/apache2-httpd-new.include.conf. In the file apache2-httpd-new.include.conf the parameter MaxRequestsPerChild is set to 400. I have set this to zero and the issue went away. [otrs] Custom Zoom view and
In the zoom view im wondering if I can remove where it shows that the system sent a reply back to follow-ups or new tickets back to the customer. Is there away to not show what the system does at all in the zoom view? I tried searching the archives and in the system config and couldn't find anything. Also is there away to remove all the other languages of notifications in Notification Management. For example, I only need it to show the en::add::your::notification::here. I don't need the others... if I can't remove them no biggie but if I can that would be awesome.
