Re: New England Patriots Feeds

2004-09-09 Thread Charles Adkins
Just to help, remember there is a football package for the NFL that is about
$34.95 a month, not sure if the pats ate on there. They are on Sirius though
and I understand the audio is very good. Sirius doesn't stream anything
online but their music channels so you can't use anybody's password, you
have to get the service. Equipment startup is about well between $150 and
$300 depending on plan, equipment and rebates.

Hope that helps. You might look through
http://www.billsparks.org
and see if any of his streams just happen to be carrying what you want, or
you could go to the Pats website and try to find a list of their radio
networks affiliates and see if you could find one of them.

Hope all this helps,
Chuck

Hi all.

Well, I'm not tony, but I can say 1.51 was a DEFINITE pain in the neck
because I couldn't even get the program to open, let alone run at all.
So that's why I went back to 1.50. Version 1.50 runs just FINE for me.
Just my 2 cents.

no I am saying just the opisit it puts a 2 second gap in between tracks
whitch sucks for mixed cds, and I am not sure if that is a a demo limitation
or if it is a feature they haven't implimented
if it is the ladder then this is useless to me because I do alot of live cds
where not having gaps is a must.

Ok, so let me get this straight, with the demo versionn of this software,
when you try to create an audio CD it basicly sounds more like a mix than
a
normal CD? Or in other words, the tracks just play back to back?

What difference does that make? If the software works, buy it. Of
course, reading reviews, asking people and trying demos is a good idea.

Hi,

I've been a software engineer for several years, now, and I've
often heard that one should never buy software with a .0 in the revision

number. Of course, I do, but brand new software always raises a red
flag
for me.

Caviat emptor, let the buyer beware

Ok, so let me get this straight, with the demo versionn of this software,
when you try to create an audio CD it basicly sounds more like a mix than a
normal CD? Or in other words, the tracks just play back to back?

Hello friends,
The trial version of this software is available from :
www.readingmadeeasy.com I successfully downloaded it about half an hour ago.
You would have to fill in a form giving your name, address, e-mail address
and telephone number. After submitting the form, you would be allowed to
download the trial version. I don't know much more about it at this stage
but it is there for downloading. Good luck. Kind regards.

Winamp question

2004-09-09 Thread Cynthia Handel
I recently downloaded the newest version of Winamp. I didn't have it on my
computer, at all, before. I don't know much about the program and was
trying to find how to get into properties, to select which types of audio I
want it to play, but I can't figure that out. In addition, I have
difficulty closing the program, unless I use End Task. Has anyone else had
this problem, and are there any suggestions about correcting this problem?

Thanks.

  Subject: Re: mp3 direct cut?

Simon, here are some shortcuts, which I compiled for aprevious message.
  Hope this helps.

One can rewind and fast forward using
cursor left and right or page-up and page-down. The latter two keys move
faster than the first two. How many frames each pair moves can be set
  via the menu system.

b: Marks the beginning of a selection

n: marks the end of a selection

Note, that one can have several selections simultaniously in one file.
To activate a specific selection, one can use the menu system of
  Mp3DirectCut.

The following commands use the numbers row above the letter keys, not
the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard. These commands move
by frame. One frame is about a 38th of a second:

1: Move the left margin of a selection one frame to the left

2: Move the left margin of a selection one frame to the right

3: Move the right margin of a selection one frame to the left

4: Move the right margin of a selection one frame to the right

With the following keys, one can exactly hear, where the margins of a
  selection are:

F5: Plays the two seconds before the left margin of a selection

F6: Plays the first two seconds of a selection

F7: Plays the last two seconds of a selection

F8: Plays the two seconds after the right margin of a selection

F9: Plays the file around the selection as if the block had been cut out

To cut a selection one can press the delete key. This does not touch the
MP3 file. It just modifies an MP3DirectCut index. Therefore, cuts
  can be made quickly.

There are also menu options and shortcut keys to save a selection into a
  different file.

To split an MP3 file, which consists of a complete album, one can use
the pause detection feature, which can be reached via the menu system.
It will set a marker before each song. These markers are actually
selections with a length of zero. To check the markers, one can go from
one to the other with Control cursor right and Control cursor left. The
file can then be split according to the markers. Or one can save a cue
sheet file or an MP3 DirectCut project file. Both would contain the
markers. With these marker files, one can easily find certain positions
  in an MP3 file.

To go to a specific time position, Control-p can be used. The edit box
is a bit strange, don't delete the words in it, just modify the file
position. One has to leave the apostrophes, which seperate hours minutes
and seconds alone. The program needs these apostrophes

Then, there are the recording shortcuts, which I mentioned in my first
  message about MP3DirectCut:

r: Opens the record dialog, in which sighted people can adjust the
  recording level

p: Starts the recording, when the recording dialog is open

As much as I know, there's no pause function in the program.

  s: Stops the recording.

2004-09-09 Thread Studio Montebello
Hi Joe.

I have re read your post and I am not too sure what you mean by silent scrub! The page
up and down feature is more like a jump feature. The lenght of the jump is determined
by the zoom ratio.

If I understand you correctly, what you need to do is use the left and right arrows .
Providing you are in play from curser orplay selection mode which you access with the
control+shift+numpad 5, you should be able to hear your scrubs while holding down the
left arrow to rewind, and the right arrow to forward.

I hope this is clear as it is very early here, and I'm not sure my brain is in full
gear yet!

Please let me know if this works.

Hi Joe.

Try using the numbers 3 and 9 on the numpad. If that works, I think I know
what is wrong!
Please let me know if the above works.

Best regards, Jean
