Fwd: Thanks Regarding Confirm after download
I'm passing on this message from a friend, John Machin who requested assistance a few days ago. He appreciated the responses from people on this list. -Steve. From:J & P Machin john-...@bigpond.com Hi Steve, Thank you for posting my enquiries about "Confirm after download" in Windows 7. I also like to send my appreciation to those who replied. In particular a member who's name might be John like me. His email address is cov...@ccs.covici.com. Please convey on my behalf my thanks for his information and suggestions. I did take a look at the url to which he referred. (www.creativelement.com/powertools). But couldn't see a particular reference to the setting of something like Confirm after download. There were many tools and problem solving utilities but not what I am looking for in Windows 7. I am beginning to think the feature has been eliminated from Windows Explorer in Windows 7. Perhaps it may now be known by a different name and may now exist under Internet Explorer instead. Hopefully, we may get some more replies. Some one probably knows one way or the other. Thanks for all suggestions, John Machin. Sound Forge Pro 10 navigation issues
Hi Jamie, I ran into the same issue. What I found is that in version 10 of Sound Forge, it's possible to set the zoom ratio so fine that it appears that the left and right arrows and page up and down have stopped working. Press the down arrow quite a few times to increase the zoom ratio and see if that helps. Re: Converting stereo .mp3s to mono
I just did about six at one time and they worked. Tho they landed in the mp3 section of my documents\my music\mp3, where I don't usually go for any purpose. But once I'd traced them there, all I had to do was copy them to my Sansa, and all was well. Thanks again. There is a flag which is supposed to give you the option to have them deleted from there once they have been converted, but it doesn't appear to work in the latest version of CDEX. There is a checkbox to look in subfolders, so if you create a folder under CDEX and put all of the MP3 files there, they won't get mixed up with the other CDEX files. I just tried this and it worked, and didn't try to convert anything it shouldn't have. If you press enter on select all and then convert it should work. This won't select any of the other files in the folder, since they are not compressed audio files. I agree that putting them there isn't the ideal solution, but I have just spent some time trying to change it and like you, can't find how to. Perhaps someone else can say if they have found a way. It says it's going to look only in Program files/DDex etc. So I put a few .mp3 files in there, but that didn't work and was quite a hassle. I feel you may have forgotten part of the instruction? I've changed to mono in the settings, and I familiarized myself with the Convert menu, but it's stuck on this folder, and zerio items, of course. But when I work out, I still prefer to have some rock music in one ear bud. I have a copy of EZ CD/DVD Creator, a fairly recent build, and the designer sent me a file he said would merge to two channels for me. But it involves a file extension that neither I nor my Windows XP Home has ever heard of, and I can't run the file and get a list of mono preferences for bps rate to appear beneath the stereo output options. Can anyone help? It's kind of primitive, audio-wise, to go back to mono like early Beatles records, but I gotta do it.
