KEH.com advertises repairs with the same basic price. I haven't checked today, but when I was contemplating getting my K-5II repaired it was about the same, actually a little less, at $300. I think they actually care about customer service because it does look like you can contact them. Ultimately I found it to be less expensive to replace the K-5II, but then again I didn't own a K-1.
