So, you don't need to be near your home network to use the FlashAir. In this particular case, maybe it'll be worth investing a bit of time automating as much as you can. But AFAIK, there is no ready made solution. To me, a way to save a lot of time repeating simple and boring task would be to: - plug your K70 or K3 to a RaspberryPi through USB and install this software http://pktriggercord.melda.info/ - Configure auto transfer from the camera to the RaspberryPi. (auto renaming, sorting ...) - Share the RaspberryPi photo directory to any device across any network. Re: Image transfer from camera to PC in real time
Pentax has an app for Android and iOS which can use the built-in wifi of your K-70 to download pics to your phone or tablet, but for PCs there is not an official ap. However, there is an unofficial Windows app which you can use to that purpose. There is a thread about that Windows program in https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/6-pentax-dslr-discussion/346566-my-pentax-wifi-remote-software.html If you have a Flu card for your K-3 you can also use it to control the camera and download pictures to your PC. 2017-10-22 7:35 GMT+02:00 Leon Altoff : > Hi, > > I'm trying to find a way to transfer images from my camera to a PC in real > time. Re: Image transfer from camera to PC in real time
I think the FLU card for Pentax will work with your K-3, though fairly slowly, so real time isn't exactly possible for full size images. PK Tether works with the K-5II and K20D I've tested it. I expect it will work with the K-3. On 10/22/2017 1:35 AM, Leon Altoff wrote: Hi, I'm trying to find a way to transfer images from my camera to a PC in real time. I have a K3 and a K70 to work with. Re: Image transfer from camera to PC in real time
I was sort of hoping to make it work without actually buying a wifi card for a camera with built in wifi, but it looks like it doesn't work that way. I eventually found the software to run on the PC, pity it's completely unrelated to the eyefi brand and I could find no links on the eyefi site for software - am I asking that much? The Mobi Pro looks more useful for my purposes than the Flash Air, as I will often be away from my home network when using this setup. Thanks for your help Leon. PK Tether software?
