Hi, I have just installed the Wave Input on my Media Center, while it was working fine and sounded good, but it had the lag around 3-4 seconds. Below is my setup spec. What version of Sc ? 7.3.1 What sort of PC and audio (e.g. laptop, integrated audio ) ? Integrated, with RealTek AC97 driver What sort of player ? Boom. Does you PC have any other audio sources which could be active such as microphone, something connected to line-in, Tuner card ? No other sources were active. Thanks in advance for your help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
You can't fix the lag = it can be reduced a little(e.g maybe down to about 1 sec) but it is mainly due to buffering by app in PC (wavin2cmd.exe) and in SC and a small amount of network delays. When using SC to sync with video with audio you need to use a special player such as mplayer or vlc where audo /video timing can be split (i.e. make audio lead video to compensate for SC delay) - but it is a hit/miss setup. Better to connect audio connection from audio source into Line-in of Boom. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC - Constantly Rebuffering
Could be a timecapsule issue AlienBBC uses RealAudio port 554 which is correct for RTSP PC browsers and RealPlayerplaying BBC will use port 80 (i.e RTSP over HTTP) if port 554 is blocked. It looks like there is some issue with Timecapsule blocking port 554. This happened when Airport Express was initially released as well - there was a fix so you need to check it out. See. http://flowusers.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?f=3t=143 Evoke radio (and all radio using receiva chipset) only use port 554 and so can have same problem as AlienBBC. This users seems to think port 7070 may be the issue. https://inet.argonaudio.com/index.php?option=com_joomlaboardItemid=108func=viewid=22924catid=3 -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58288 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Martin, I created a new branche (7.2 version) within the weathertime repository and added all changes mavit and rubbermp3 made. I also added the translations which were provided by several persons on this forum and fixed the translation errors (mainly Dutch) I could find. For myself I made a testversion of it and up to now it's running fine. If it really is working ok, the only thing you still have to do is give the install.xml a new versionnumber and create an installable version of the plugin and possibly create a setup for the 'extension downloader'... [SlimDevices: Plugins] faulty softsqueeze startup with linux (kubuntu)
Hi folks, the main bug that bothers me is that sometimes softsqueeze starts and sometimes it doesn't. Today's build 7.3.2 - 24679 works fine. Othertimes the damn thing tries to start, but dies immediately. Flirefox says that it uses javaws for jnlp files. (What is javaws? I am guessing that it is the java webstart tool?) Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Album Catalog Creator 1.0
First, let me say this is a completely wonderful, fantastic piece of work (which I think I have told you a few times at least). But, an 'enhancement request' if you might consider it? I often choose to print the music catalog without tracks displayed. I also have multiple multi-CD boxsets. What I would like to happen is on both the Quickref and the standard catalog page to get the Disc printed as well, filled to two digits to avoid the 1 and 10, etc sort issues. For the music catalog itself, perhaps it could be placed with the year? For now I think for sorting it could be by date then by disc number? For perhaps further degrees of complication, I sometimes timestamp an album within a boxset. Say, Charlie Parker has a 9 CD set, with various dates for each CD. I would want the set to sort based upon the disc number, then by date. But that isn't so important. For the quickref, if it could be just another column perhaps, and sorted within that item by the disc number? I hope this makes sense, trying to get some screen shots but I am having trouble capturing them. I'll try to add late. Again, a wonderful piece of work. -- mkgolden1 mkgolden1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14730 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48096 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I bought a squeezebox earlier this week and it is absoluely awesome. Works really fast, plays in good quality and is just superb. Was thinking about the Logitech fancy remote thing but was told could do the same thing on my iphone 3G with iPeng so I bought it. Sadly, so far it seems to be £5.99 wasted - although that could well be down to me rather than the prog. My setup is a networked hard drive plugged into my home hub, with all my music on it. I then have my squeeze center installed on a laptop, with itunes integration on. Basically, although my squeezebox works fine with my bundled remote, every screen press on my iphone takes (and I have been sad enough to time it) between 80 seconds (at the best) to upwards of 3 minutes at worst (I gave up after 3 minutes). Does anyone have any idea what is going on as it seems to have potential, but I don't really want to have wasted £5.99 :( I have no performance issues on my network at all other than this. Stream video and audio seamlessly. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins do not install
I would prefer if you posted the log file, you should see where it's stored in SqueezeCenter Settings/Advanced/Logging, the screen shot only shows half of the log. However, what I can see from the log is that you have installed Title Switcher but you haven't installed Music Information Screen (or MusicInfoSCR as it short name is) which is required for it to work. What I would suggest is: 1. Shutdown SqueezeCenter 2. Remove all my plugins from the server/Plugins directory 3. Startup SqueezeCenter 4. Goto SqueezeCenter Settings/Advanced/Extension Downloader and select the plugins you like to install (mine plus Music Information Screen which you currently are missing), to see them in the list you may need to enter the repository url if you haven't already done so: Code: http://erlandplugins.googlecode.com/svn/repository/trunk/latest.xml 5. Click Save Settings at the bottom to start the installation. 6. Check if you get any errors at the top of the Extension Downloader screen 7. Restart SqueezeCenter 8. Check in SqueezeCenter Settings/Plugins if the plugins are available in the list, if you see any error message beside them and check if it works to click on the Settings link beside them. 9. If it still doesn't work zip the SqeezeCenter log file and post it at an attachment. You will find the log file at the position which is shown in the SqueezeCenter Settings/Advanced/Logging screen. I think the default location is something like: Code: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\Logs\server.log -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) 'My download page' (http://erland.isaksson.info/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58302 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I think that adding disc numbers in the header is a useful option which I've put on my to do list (BTW: ACC does display disc numbers but only as pre-fix to the track section so not visible when not displaying tracks).
