[SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunes Update using Boom remote?
Hi. I don't think the small remote that comes with the Boom allows you to rate songs (no numbers on it). I could see how this could be done by adding some sub menu's. Hey, posted the question below in a couple of other places bit no one seems to know what do to about the problem, and I really want to get that one working, have a look see if you can help :P thx a lot Hi, Got my squeezebox duet today and I'm very happy with it, after reading the forum for a while I was getting afraid I would run into trouble at the beginning but setting was a breeze and it was up and running in no time :) I can use last.fm and it works great however I have a couple of question, If I play a track from my own library I can see an option called *on last.fm* from there I can navigate to an option called play similar artist radio however when I click this button nothing happens, is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I was under the impression it would send the artist name and last.fm would create a stream with similar artist, this works if I go into last.fm and input the artist name with the wheel but would be much easier to just browse my library and then use this option, any ideas? Also when being in last.fm i can select my radio stations, is this suppose to be radio station i had and if so where, I thought it would be linked to my profile in last.fm and reflects artist i have added as artist i like and then create radio station for each of them playing similar songs... this is however far less important, I would really like to figure out the first point as it would be really helpful. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Extension downloader broken??
As of today the extension downloader is no longer showing any 3rd party plugins and the relevant url is no longer working: http://www.squeezenetwork.com/public/plugins/repository.xml Any ideas? Maybe I didn't gave enough details, so here's my question point by point. 1) I go to Music Library, then I select artists, from there I browse and select an artist I want to listen to, I select the album and the title and start playing, those tracks are my own and are on my PC in mp3 format 2) from there I go back to the now playing screen and see album cover and the now playing information 3) I click the center button on duet remote which brings a menu with option like last.fom:love this track, also artist name, genre, year, rating and near the bottom an option called On last.fm Radio 4)When I click on last.fm radio it brings me to a list of artists and CD for the artist i selected 5)I click on the artist and it opens a page with options, first option is called Play similar Artists radio. 6) I click on play similar artist radio and it opens a menu with option and first option is called play, however when I press play nothing happens and it just stays there doing nothing I was under the impression this would open last.fm radio and start a stream with similar artist to the one I selected. Thanks for the reply! I'd completely forgotten about this until today. However, I only had iPlayer plugin 0.4 installed, so I upgraded it to 0.6 (it took me forever to work out that all I needed to do was click "upgrade" in squeezecenter!) And no, I didn't have Alien BBC installed - I assumed that since I'm based in the UK anyway that the iPlayer plugin would get me everything. But I've installed it now and I'll see how I get on. bpa- I tried the two tests. I'm not use to DOS so it took me a while to get the syntax correct on the lame. On both tests the wifi dropped to no lower than 162 Mbps. The Wave Input has been working much better lately. No stops or skips or buffering problems. However the wifi is still dropping to 81Mbps and after it has been playing for 30 minutes it will drop to 15Mbps. It is erratic and jumps up to 200+ sometimes. What do these results imply? My desktop has on board audio. I there any particular audio card which works better with the Wave Input plugin? Hi Pippin, just after a little more advice. I have a bit of a problem with the touch 1st gen. When I'm connected to squeezenetwork and the player goes into standby,whilst the music playback from internet is paused. I press the button to wake it back up and then it just shows me a dark blue (ipeng colours)screen after I unlock it. This eventually goes away and shows me the now playing page but then a second or so I get the blue screen again after the app just closes and it goes to the main menu of the touch. It seems like it needs to asleep for a few minutes or more to get this result. I'll look at fixing the ppc makefile. I'd have to agree with you, it sounds like the alsa driver in the newer version has problems. Did you ask on the ubuntu forums? You can't be the only one using audio on the PS3 having this problem.
