Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Hi, I have 2 BOOMS now, the first one was running ok, the new, 2nd BOOM isn't. I don't know how many time I doubled checked the settings, they are the same! But still, the new boom does show more periods than defined! It shows different content than defined! I tried to restart the BOOM, left without power over night. Restarted SC. Switch to other settings (content and periods) I switched to other screensavers etc. I run SC 7.3.3, cannot go to 7.4.x yet, I'm on a QNAP they are not yet supported. Hey Erland, I'm playing with CustomClock, and it's really cool! I've finally gotten some time to play with stuff, rather than just fix hardware. (Using Squeezebox server 7.4 and Ipeng 1.2 with Rhapsody). I select My Apps->Rhapsody->Search->Search for Artists This all works fine, then I *Selected Artist*->Top Tracks This seems to work fine, except one observation. The count in () after all songs (248 in attached pic) keeps going up beyond the number of songs listed. At this point the program gets a little bit shaky, not responding quickly to commands. When I select a song it either descends (next pic) and I hit add to end, or I click and hold the song to add to end (assuming I'm in the + mode). In both cases, it adds all of the songs to the end of the playlist. (By the way, as a general rule you should be allowed to add hundreds of songs to a playlist without at least a warning). Same problem happens intermittently to play next and play. Strange this is that when I search for tracks: My Apps->Rhapsody->Search->Search For Tracks The results come up, but it is a different type of playlist, without the '+,> or >|' options up top (see pic). From this playlist, the only choice is to descend to the lower menu. Choosing Add to end, Play and Play Next all seem to work when you get there this way. Hope this long-winded response helps you troubleshoot. +---+ |Filename: IMG_0020.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8449| +---+ -- bordo bordo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14781 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks for the reply. There were rumors of that happening, but the last I read, it is not true -- We were given standard streaming but not high quality streaming. In fact I think they kept the low quality stream alive just for our group (lifetimers who subbed up years ago). Hi pippin, I've found that the little icon (in my case a Receiver) was a status indicator saying it's in standby yes or no. This doesn't seem to be working for the Receiver (it does for the Boom and Radio), see attached picture. I;m currently listening to the Receiver, but still the icon has the transparent standby image (or I;m misinterpreting the icon). Secondly, I got confused with the handling of a long hold on an album. In Album view, pressing and holding long enough on an album will bring you to Album Info. However, when you select an album via Trackstat, you end up in a different view, still looking at albums, just not possible to do the same press and hold gesture (screenshot is from album list via TrackStat). No. That's not possible because the sleep mode deactivates the foreground app (iPeng), so it's not active and can't activate anything. There's no way to control this anyway. I'll try to emulate as much of it as possible, but this WILL consume power. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Installing BBC iPlayer
Thanks - I've found the relevant tab on Squeezebox Server and BBC iPlayer is now 'ticked' as a Plugin - but having done this I can't find it anywhere on my controller. BPA, thanks for the explanation and your time! I am really indebted to you and Triode for bringing the iPlayer to the SqueezeBox,and helping us all out on this forum. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I would highly recommending Jailbreaking your Iphones or Ipod touches. I was reluctant to begin with but it works completely seamlessly and I haven't had any issues in several months. If you Jailbreak you then have access to some very useful things: * An app called Insomnia, that lets wifi stay connected and apps keep running when the device is locked and the screen off. * Backgrounder, which lets you continue to run Ipeng when you are off using something else. * You can also get a very convenient Autolock on/off toggle. The combination of these makes Ipeng much more useful imo. -- havoc1 havoc1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But anyway having to press a button and slide the screen to unlock prevents the iPod from being an optimal solution for Squeezecenter. The question then is if iPeng can bring the iPod to sleep mode and wake it up without the buttons. Just pick it up like a Philips Pronto remotecontrol and start operating. There were only reports in the log for some missing files, which I suppose I have actually changed the file names for. Other than that there was only this warning: [09-10-14 08:48:14.7516] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (146) Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Web::HTTP::processHTTP: Can't locate object method "warning" via package "Log::Log4perl::Logger" at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins/Plugins/TrackStat/Backup/File.pm line 156, line 27094. ; fh=Slim::Web::HTTP::ClientConn=GLOB(0x8f59f34) I guess the search and replace was successful then. Oops, the most important feature for me is still not working: When the plugin is monitoring the sleep function of my SB (option enabled), and I set the countdown on the SB to sleep in 15 min or whatever the server doesn't hibernate to Squeezenetwork, as it used to do under 7.3.3. The SB switches to dark display, but the server keeps running withhout any notice. Manually enabling Shutdown, Suspend or Hibernate - also to Squeezenetwork - works very well !
