Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Firstly let me say to pippin that iPeng is brilliant. I've used it every since I bought an SB3 and iPod in March this year and love it. Recently I have faced a number of strange issue which appear to have various root causes so my eventual question may be nothing to do with iPeng. However, in summary the following has happened; 1. DSBridge stopped working - discovered that Flash 10.1 was problem. Solved as in this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64590page=41 2. I have an unresolved issue which appears to be related to the installation of a new router as discussed in this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79717 3. Now the potential iPeng question. After installing the router desribed above in 2. I can no long WOL from iPeng (which I used to be able to do successfully). I have re-entered the MAC address since I reconnected to the new router but I just cannot get this to work. I would have assumed that this was another issue with the new router BUT the SB3 remote still successfully WOL's my m/c from both standby and hibernation. Given the above, my question is what does iPeng do differently from the SB3's remote wrt to WOL? Should I be thinking of reinstalling iPeng from scratch? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. -- russelc russelc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37254 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

These should spot mistakes like missing brackets, missing termination elements (/...), missing quotes round arguments etc.. While this is NOT the most common port to use it needs to be open for server discovery anyway so it's usually a good choice. Your router needs to allow broadcasts on that port and it needs to distribute them across the network. This usually is an issue if you have a combined WiFi and ethernet network and you use a different subnet range for the two, e.g. if WiFi is on 192.168.0.x and ethernet on 192.168.1.x while the respective subnet masks are set to 255.255.255.0. Cleared that hurdle so now I can log in to my account *online*. But I still get a Failed to log in to XM.com...incorrect username or password. I've re-entered this info several times, shutdown/restarted the server, restarted the pc, turned off/unplugged the SBC. No change. I can access my library internet stations but just can't log on XM. Man this is frustrating... -- Guy48065 Guy48065's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38659 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79957 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
