Unless you know SQL and XML I'd advice you to wait for the next Custom
Browse release, I'll add support for this in the template in the next
release. It's too easy to do something wrong if you try to do it
yourself if you don't know XML and SQL.

It's not a Custom Skip filter, it's a SQL Playlist playlist.
To use it you need to goto Extras/SQL Playlist in SBS web interface,
select to create a new playlist (type doesn't matter) and select the
Customize SQL option.

I'd advice you to not create the files manually in a file manager,
there is too much things regarding character encodings and similar
things that can go wrong. Shouldn't be problem for this one, but don't
get used to creating files manually as it's easy to do it wrong.

Besides that it should be:
Tags to scan: COMPOSER
and not
Tags to scan: COMPOSERS

It looks correct to me, I'm guessing this was just a spelling error in
your forum post ?

Are you sure you have COMPOSERSORT tags in your music files ?
Do you see them if you goto the Song Info page in SBS web interface and
select the "View Tags" link ?

Thats a relief I thought it was a cruel wind up by their devs for a
second there.

I don't know anything about ARM / Linux development but from a quick
search it doesn't look like it's that easy to identify which NAS uses
which version, but i'm sure the QNAP's would be the easiest to develop
for / get out first ;-) (specifically the TS-X19 series)..., and I'm
sure I read a few posts by readynas owners casting doubts over the
quality of your code..

>From previous posts it looks like their won't be an official server
based plugin from logitech and they won't / can't enable their official
plugin to work with the older receivers, so you literally are the last
hope for thousands of music lovers out there, no pressure. Seriously
though if you managed to work your magic and create a plugin for ARM
Nas's you would make a lot of people very happy.

Looks like there was some strange cacheing of that page going on - I
needed to refresh it a couple of times to get the new version (the one
I looked at before was the old 0.0.6 one without the arm builds)

I will look at this now :) It looks like there are three arm libraries
- I guess the first question is what version is used for what nas and
which tools chains are used for each nas type???

Libspotify is available for Windows, Mac OS X (x86 / x86_64 / PowerPC)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-02-13 Thread KIROFFSKI

Hi Triode,

Firstly thanks for this plugin, I use it through my laptop as a
standalone spotify / squeeze box server and it works perfectly. My main
squeezeserver is on my qnap (arm) NAS and I have been waiting for an
integrated spotify plugin for this platform for a few years now as have
many of my NAS owning brothers..

I'll cut it short, I saw that yesterday that spotify have released a
new libspotify for ARM processors.

■ARMv5, ARMv6 and ARMv7 support
■Playlist subscribers
■Inbox messages and read/modification of track ’seen’ status
■Support for creating playlist folders from the API

Do you have any plans to release your plugin for ARM processers (I
assumed this release would make this possible (praying...))?

cheers,

Ski

[SlimDevices: Plugins] iplayer icon doesn't appear on remote

2011-02-13 Thread The gentleman

Hey forum,

Can anyone help me with the following issue.

I've installed de BBC iplayer (version 1.1.13).
It works fine when i control it with the SBS software (version 7.5.3).
The strange thing is that i can't find the icon on the remote control
of my duet system. I've looked in de internetradio section just like in
de SBS software, but it's not there.

I've tried a re-install of the iplayer and serveral reboots of the
SqueezeBoxServer, but this doesn't fix the problem.

Is it not possible to access the iplayer plug-in with the remote
control?

Thank you for the severe weather bug fix - it has been driving me crazy
for 2 or 3 weeks now and just had a chance to login and see if I was
alone in this or not.

GREATLY appreciated - thanks again.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] FFMpeg and SqueezeboxServer streaming format (http

2011-02-13 Thread ggalt

I'm working on writing a plugin for MythTV that works as a
squeezeboxserver client (much like softsqueeze), using ffmpeg as the
decoding engine. I'm having a hard time getting a stream from the
server that works for ffmpeg and I'm hoping someone can give me some
information.

I direct an http request to the squeezeboxserver for the audio in the
format of http://:9000/stream.mp3?player=
(this request format is received from the server as part of the
client/server communications). Ffmpeg complains that what it gets back
does not contain any header information. The error messages are:

[mp3 @ 0x7fb26c039b00] Could not find codec parameters (Audio: mp3, 0
channels, s16)
[mp3 @ 0x7fb26c039b00] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be
inaccurate

It looks like the server may be sending header information without the
number of channels described properly. Is anyone aware of which perl
module in the server creates the mp3 header? And does anyone have any
thoughts or suggestions on this problem?

Thanks, George

Just save it as a plain text file with '.sql.xml' extension in the
folder specified in your SQL Playlist settings.

Huh, thanks for it, but i never wrote custom skip scripts before and i
don't know where can i paste your code. :)
I found my filters directory, i saw my earlier filters but they're
seems to be different:

topratedonly

trackstat_rated

rating
69

customskippercentage
100

customskipvalidtime
0

customskipretrylater
0

how can i implement yours?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0

2011-02-13 Thread raboof

SqueezeScrobbler stopped working for me.

I dug in, and it appears Last.FM started using HTTP Redirect, and the
plugin wasn't expecting that.

Fixed it with a patch I uploaded at
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3179703&group_id=105780&atid=642338

I guess that's good news in a way but more work for you.
Surprised it's not backaward compatible.
Still that's life :-)

I can now run the following and get logging going ok

vlc --extraintf logger dvb-t://frequency=84200 :dvb-bandwidth=8
:dvb-caching=300 :program=18560
:sout=#transcode{vcodec=none,acodec=mp3,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:http{dst=:8080/RadioStream.mp3}
:no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :ttl=1 :sout-keep

This gives me a live logging window and writes to my log file as well.

But when I put the same in your custom-convert.conf file I don't get
any logging screen or output to the log file.
_*If*_ you get chance could you cast an eye over the file I attached to
my last post to see what I am doing wrong please.

Not exactly what you're after but it might give you some ideas!

You could use custom skip filters to exclude multiple genres?

Code:

-- PlaylistName:Favourites least played by Genre...
  -- PlaylistGroups:Favourites...
  -- PlaylistParameter1:genre:Select genre:
  select tracks.url from tracks
join genre_track on
tracks.id=genre_track.track
and genre_track.genre='PlaylistParameter1'
left join dynamicplaylist_history on
tracks.id=dynamicplaylist_history.id
  and dynamicplaylist_history.client='PlaylistPlayer'
left join track_statistics on
tracks.url=track_statistics.url
where
audio=1
and track_statistics.rating>70
and dynamicplaylist_history.id is null
order by track_statistics.playCount asc
limit 10;

Afraid I don't understand it either. The .exe is build using Visual
C++ Express 2008, so you may need the MS redistributable runtime for
that if you do not already have it installed. I wonder if there is an
incompatibilty with other runtimes?

Are there any MS experts here who can help?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2011-02-13 Thread mbrxjepp

I've been having a few problem with the iplayer plugin running on SBS
7.5.3.

SBS is installed on a qnap ts-210. Has been working well, but yesterday
it just stopped working. I can navigate to a station, and it even
displays the stream's info, but when I try to connect it starts doing
so then immediately drops the connection. At times it shows the 'can't
resolve ip address' message, although this isn't happening right now
since I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin.

I'm stuck - I can usually get things working with various sequences of
reboots and reinstalls, but not this time. Am I the only one with this
problem?

Hi, first - thanks for a great plugin.
I recently upgraded my server from Win2003 to Win2008R2, 64bit, and now
I get strange problems with the spotifyd application.

Windows log pasted:
Activation context generation failed for
"C:\PROGRA~3\SQUEEZ~1\Cache\INSTAL~1\Plugins\Spotify\Bin\MSWIN3~1\spotifyd.exe".
