Yes, I will put the jivepattern for the track list in all my CB menus.

Erland, is there a way to change all CB menus that are standard (not
user defined) at once? It seems that I have to save my standard menus
as user defined to get the actual code for the menus in the .xml file
and then change each individually.

At the moment you will have to do it one by one as you are currently
doing.

Is this something that could be of more general usage for more users ?
In that case, maybe I should switch the jivepattern used in the

Does it look good in IP3K interface (Classic, Boom, Transporter,

Yes! That would be great. I think everyone can benefit from the
standard CB menus having a uniform display for album and track lists,
and an easy way for inexperienced users to adjust what is displayed on
which line in a track list in iPeng.

There are two things here: The album list and the file list. The album
list is depending on the sql that produces the output string. Could the
output be made consistent for all CB standard menus? For consistent
display in iPeng the order must be Album Name - Artist/Composer -
Year, unless you introduce a way to rearrange the captures. Or perhaps
Pippin can consider displaying both the album name and year on the first
line (I would love to be able to see also the year when in the two line
album cover view).

erland;672936 Wrote:

It does not matter to me since I do not use those interfaces any more,
but I see your point.

No, currently I would not say it looks good but I hope it can be easily
fixed.

The NP info is not at all affected (each player has its own
titleformat).

The album list modification is obviously only affecting CB menus. The
strange thing is that in the sample menu the album list displays the
raw sql output, Album Name (Artist1,Artist2,Year). I do not know what
that menu looked like in the web UI before the modification, but now the
captures are obviously not used.

The SBS standard album menu uses Album Name (Year) Artist so it would
be nice and consistent if that order could be used in CB album lists in
the web UI and on players.

Changing the standard SBS titleformat affects the display in file
lists. This could be handled by choosing a nice looking separator
unlikely to occur in any tag, -*- •• etc.

I noticed that the CustomScan tag I have in my standard SBS titleformat
is not showing up in file lists outside CB menus. If it is not a bug
this feature could perhaps be used. Add an extra CustomScan table
with a separator for all tracks and use this CustomScan tag in the
standard SBS titleformat. In CB menus the RegEx should filter out the
separator character. It is not that way now for my sample menu in the
web UI; the separator is showing up and the captures from the RegEx are
not used.

Thanks for considering this!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-11-27 Thread stevied123

I hope somebody will be able to help me here...

I have been using many of Erland's plugins for some time, and just
purchased licenses for all of them for 1 year.

I've had a SB iPeng for some time now, and probably my favourite
feature of it's setup was the way I could browse track details, and
composer, and from that link ( browse) straight to all tracks in my
library by the same composer. That feature suddenly stopped working a
while ago, which I quickly assumed was due to the introduced license
terms for these plugins.

I have Custom Browse, and Custom Scan, but cannot figure out how to get
back to the same functionality.

Is the function I require connected to these two plugins, and can
anyone explain in very simple terms how I can get it back?

Many thanks.

Have you tried the Browse by selected option in the track info context
menu? Touch and hold on a track to invoke that menu.

SBS/LMS changed with version 7.6 so this functionality to look up
composer is no longer available straight from the context menus, i.e.
by just clicking the name of the composer.

Did you try out the Browse by selected option? With just an extra touch
you will get a list of all albums where the selected composer appears
as composer, album artist or artist, i.e. the old behaviour.

There is an option in SBS to show also composers in the artist list. I
think you will get the old behaviour back if you choose this option
(and a cluttered artist list).

2011-11-27 Thread stevied123

Hi Vagskal, thanks for your responses.

I've just figured out what you meant by 'Browse By Selected', it's
closer but not what I'm really looking for. That just lists any albums
that contain the same composer, whereas I loved the old way where it
would list all the tracks of a composer in one place (great with
classic composers such as Cole Porter).

I'm aware of the option to show composers in the artist list, but as
you say, I don't want that cluttered as it would become. I want the
functionality SB always had beforehand!

Can I easily go back to an older version of the software (pre-7.6), or
would this just cause other problems?

You will have to ask Erland if it is possible to have a track list
shown instead of the album list, or a Show all files option. (If you
enter an album in the list you will only see the tracks where the
composer appears, not all tracks in the album.)

I think you can just install an old version over the current one. I

 Apologies I'm new to this...

I've checked on radioplayer and the classic fm web site and I can hear
 it fine through the laptop.

Basically anything under Listen Again which is an ACC stream is silent,
the Arrow live stream will work as thats WMA for example.

The listen again streams are better described as 'AAC delivered by
Flash'.

In your earlier post, you said: the mp3 ones play fine as do other aac
streams (e.g. iplayer)

Question: Were those BBC iPlayer aac streams 'AAC delivered by HTTP' or
'AAC delivered by Flash' ?

You might try testing this by visiting the BBC iPlayer plugin settings
page and setting the 'On Demand Stream Preference' to 'FlashAAC WMA',
and 'Apply'. Then play a BBC listen again item. The purpose here is to
try to ensure that you are comparing like with like.

Before playing a stream, it might be helpful to set the logging level
of the BBC iPlayer RTMP component to 'Info':
Server Settings|Advanced|Choose Logging from the drop down,
set: (plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp) - BBC iPlayer. Then 'Apply'.

This might give you a little more visibility on what is going on. Pay
attention to the checkbox 'Save logging settings for use at next
application restart' if you restart the server.

 e.g.
 rtmp://cdn-sov-2.musicradio.com:80/?icon=aHR0cDovL21lZGlhd2ViLm11c2ljcmFkaW8uY29tL3BsYXllci9pbWFnZS5hc3B4P2k9MDNFQjE0NTFCQ0M3NEI0QzgxMkFERThCODNBMEJCMzQucG5nJnc9MTI2app=QU9Etcurl=cnRtcDovL2Nkbi1zb3YtMi5tdXNpY3JhZGlvLmNvbTo4MC9BT0Q=streamname=bXA0OjQ0NUFDRkYzMEYwRjRBN0Q5MEY3RUJGNzYwMDkwNThGLm00YQ==desc=QW5uZS1NYXJpZSBwbGF5cyB0aGUgcGVyZmVjdCBibGVuZCBvZiBjbGFzc2ljYWwgbXVzaWMgZm9yIGEgcmVsYXhpbmcgd2Vla2VuZC4=.aac

That stream (after removing the extraneous spaces put in by the forum)
plays fine here.

The touch just says connecting... and no sound comes out.

If I look at the Home Classic FM others Classic FM - Live page
under Logitech Media Server the time moves on as if it is playing.

Cant see anything in the logs, only a reference to musicIP..

In your earlier post you said: I was tinkering last night. In my
language usage that terminology can cover anything from wiping the
operating system from the hard drive to fiddling around with
spreadsheet display format. Is there anything that you did that stikes
you as relevant ?

Be aware that the ClassicFM plugin does not actually set about playing
a stream, it simply prepares a stream URL (e.g. rtmp://.) and
passes it to the system for playback. From the sound of it, you seem to
be having some troubles with Flash (rtmp) streams.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Question: Setting up Multi-Library and Custom Browse

2011-11-27 Thread emalvick

First time finally trying to use the Multi-Library function. I'm
testing it out by setting up a library for Christmas music separate
from my other music.

Currently, I have 2 libraries set-up.

The Christmas music library is a standard library based on one
directory where it is all at, and the remaining music is set-up as a
dependent library that excludes the Christmas one (as the wiki shows
for setting up a classical library).

I've been testing this out with one album in my Christmas library. It
is a compilation album that I've set up using a Various Artists Album
Artist tag.

The CB menus are set up so that under the Christmas Group I can browse
by Album Artists, and that specific menu is set for the specific
library.

The problem is that when I browse that menu all the Song Artists (for
this one CD) that are Album Artists on other albums in the overall
library show up in the album artist menu with empty listings.

Is there something I'm missing. I've played around with various
settings in the CB. Interestingly, when I try to see if the opposite
occurs with my standard library, it doesn't.

I've found the cause, will be fixed in next Custom Browse release, I
hope to be able to release it sometime later this week.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan Empty Menu

2011-11-27 Thread erland

I would suggest that you install Database Query plugin and run the its
Custom Scan Statistics query, this will show if Custom Scan has been
able to scan your tag properly.

You should see a line that says something like:
Number of songs with customtag attributes of type PUBLISHER1234

If you have a large library, it can take a bit of time to run the
Custom Scan Statistics query.

If that line isn't shown, there is probably something wrong with your
Custom Tag scanning module configuration inside Custom Scan settings
page. You can post exactly which values you have configured and we can
help to see if we can find something wrong.

Generally tag names in the Custom Tag configuration should be written
with capital letters.

It's also worth to look in the server.log file after performing the
rescan to see if you see something strange.

Which file format are you using ? mp3 ? flac ? something else ?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread

Yes, I know but I tend to forget to switch off the shuffle mode

 Thanks for considering this.

So it's just the one album you'd want shuffled, rather than turning on
shuffle mode. That makes it a muso function, it can randomise the
tracks itself. I'll look into it.

NB. You can already queue up random tracks by genre - select a genre
from the filter quick-pick list, then hit the magic wand (queues up 10
random tracks each click, it ensures there are no duplicates even if
you click 10 times).
