Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: YouTube Plugin
I don't know what is LMS and players behavior if data are not coming fast enough. What is true is that there is now SSL so some overhead compared to the initial version but if YouTube videos play well on your browser, then this is something else. I think there is an option in LMS to say the minimum amount of time you want to have buffered before playback actually starts - can't remember where exactly while I'm writing this LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. The player does not advertise itself as being capable of pcm 24 bits, it says only 16 (the audio/Lxx lines). But looking at the log, flac is never tried, only pcm and this is because your codecs sections in the config is limited to pcm. You should set in the codecs option a least 'flc,pcm,mp3' (stick with that order, if you use pcm,flc,mp3, I've observed that LMS tends to transcode flac into pcm, which would send fail the same way as having pcm only). If you want to use pcm, then you have to send it in wav format which is support by the player. For that, use 'wav, raw' in the non compressed option of the plugin (just below the codec line). Use the latest dev version as I've made a lot of improvements to wav management. Do not check the option to optimize byte order Finally, you pointed out a bug in my codec management as normally, when a player supports 16 bits only and you have selected the 24 bits depth option to truncate to 16 bits, then I should accept a 24 bits request from LMS. I will correct that in a few days but I can't right now as I'm travelling - thanks for this finding ! The CD-N500 should just work fine LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Hii Philippe, i just tried the actual version and I encountered a problem while playing any files with 24 bit depth, neither FLAC nor PCM on my Yamaha CD-N500. The player support these files and play them without any problem if using the yamaha app. I attach the log file for further understanding. I tried the 3 setting option for the 24 bit format, but i had success with none of them. Could you suggest me a way to fix this problem? I finally got to doing some further on the Roberts WM201 reciva radio. What I found was that * The radio is advertised as playing flac; but it will not do this over upnp; it will only play mp3. * Within the radio menu you need to select a radio stream if you do not upnp bridge will not reliably detect it. * If you play around with settings and get them wrong (e.g. forcing flac) the radio freezes and needs a hard reset * I could not get it to reliably move onto the next track in a playlist * I could not get apps like triode spotify or ickstream to play. Just froze the player as above. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] New plugin for audio bookmarks
I uploaded version 1.2.1 of the plugin to the repo. This version contains some bugfixes and a couple of new features: 1) BOOKMARKS FOR PLAYLISTS BOOKMARKS ARE NOW ALSO APPLIED TO PLAYLISTS. THIS MEANS THAT IF YOU PLAY A PLAYLIST, THE PLUGIN MONITORS THE CURRENTLY PLAYED TRACK AND WAITS FOR A TRACK THAT HAS A GENRE MATCHING THE ONES DEFINED IN THE GENRE FILTER. IT THEN ADDS A BOOKMARK FOR THE PLAYLIST AND NOT FOR THE ALBUM. THESE \"PLAYLIST BOOKMARKS\" ARE ALWAYS NAMED WITH THE NAME OF THE PLAYLIST. IN THE BOOKMARKS LIST I ALWAYS PREPEND THEM WITH THE WORD \"PLAYLIST\" (TO MAKE THEM EASILY DISTINGUISHABLE FROM ALBUM BOOKMARKS). BOOKMARKS OF PLAYLISTS AND ALBUMS ARE COMPLETELY INDEPENDANT OF EACH OTHER. IF YOU PLAY AN ALBUM IT'S BOOKMARK WILL BE UPDATED. IF YOU PLAY A PLAYLIST, THE BOOKMARK OF THE PLAYLIST WILL BE UPDATED. 2) \"FREEZE\" A BOOKMARK I added a feature to "freeze" a bookmark with the "Now playing" context menu. If you mark a bookmark as "frozen" it is no longer updated when you play the album. It is also not deleted when the last track of an album is played. Useful if you like to listen to audio books before falling asleep. You can both "freeze" und "unfreeze" a bookmark from the context menu. 3) SUBMENU TO MAINTAIN THE BOOKMARK I added the option to show an additional menu after selecting a bookmark (Setting: "Show additional menu before playing a bookmark"). If you check this option clicking on a bookmark does no longer immediately start playing the album. Instead you will get a menu with the following options: - Play - Freeze/Unfreeze bookmark - Start album from beginning - Remove bookmark - 4) BOOKMARKS FOR REMOTE TRACKS. The plugin can now also set bookmarks for remote tracks. Please note that these bookmarks are managed differently from the ones for local albums. They are not set automatically, so the genre filter does not apply to them. If you want to bookmark a remote track, album or playlist then click in the "Now Playing" context menu on "Add bookmark for current Playlist" The plugin then saves the current playlist. By default settings it will load and start this playlist immediatly - unfortunately this will cause a few seconds for rebuffering. Reloading the playlist is necessary (otherwise i would not be able to track the progress of the playlist). If you prefer to set the bookmark immediatly before you want to stop listening you can uncheck the box "Continue playing after adding a bookmark" in the settings. The plugin will then empty the current playlist after it saved the bookmark. The bookmarks for remote tracks are always named like the album that is currently played. The associated saved playlist is removed automatically when the bookmark is removed. Please note that these bookmarks are only tracked if you start the playback from the bookmark menu. And of course jumping to the correct position in the track requires the stream to be seekable. On my system the plugin works for Spotify und the - thanks to philippe_44 - recently revived youtube plugin, but not for Qobuz. These new feature required some substantial changes in the code. I have tested these quite a lot, but i am sure there are still some bugs left. Please let me know if you find issues. sternenjaeger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57562 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102859 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've been having a similar problem to the OP. I had checked that my username/pw was correct, I had tested the connection from plugins > Spotify > settings and that was all fine. I'm using a SB3 with my LMS (7.9 nightly from today) on a laptop unning W10. I then ran through the Windows Firewall troubleshooter for incoming connections and it identified spotifyd.exe as the problem, which was that the firewall wasn't allowing it through. Once I had clicked 'apply fix' on the troubleshooter's dialogue the audio started coming through immediately as I had already started playing it on my Squeezebox. Awesome awesome awesome plugin Triode. It makes my Squeezebox so much better. Once I had got my head around the Smartmix plugin it's almost like having Music IP without all the faffing about.
