After doing a major system reinstall, I've got bit lost on this one in

which patch should be used for this ?

I currently have installed
http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml for Triode's
BBC iPlayer plugin - version v1.3.1alpha3 and applied utgg's patch
BBCiPlayer-v1.3.1alpha3-Onair-v0.2.patch for the radio icons on "listen
live". But need to get "Listen Again" working.

See Step 3. OK?

Thanks, I actually got there but what works for others doesn't for me.
With the latest version of BBCXMLParser.pm from utgg, and deleting
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/cache.db before restarting, I just get
a parse error for all BBC radio stations on "Listen again":

Code:

There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Failed to parse)

Guess I'll post in the other thread.

This probably means the replacing the file has some how gone. How did
you update the file ?

Are there any message in the log file ?

Make sure file is replaced with exactly same ownership and protection as
original. Also check that the file is the same size as in the zip utgg
provide ?

Thanks, I stumbled on this a bit cold , anyhow . I'm running LMS on
synology Ds214

I updated to LMS 7.9.0 and added the YouTube plugin from triode and
Phillips. (The LMS update is available from pinkdot)

Next got an yputude api public server key from Google developers site
and entered the key into LMS, settings, YouTube

Your pluging works great . Many thanks

It's sorted thanks. Not sure what went amiss. Second time around I just
used the menu.opml file from BBCiPlayer-v1.3.1alpha3-Onair-v0.2.patch
rather than the whole patch, so basically followed this order:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?53229-Announce-BBCiPlayer-Plugin-(UK-only)&p=834617&viewfull=1#post834617

My thanks again to yourself, utgg, PasTim et al for keeping BBCiplayer
on track for LMS users.

More than likely a permissions/ownership issue. Do the following:

Code:

  ls -la /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/BBCiPlayer

Is BBCXMLParser.pm owned by squeezeboxserver? Are the rw permissions
the same as the other pms?

With the help of your invaluable assistance, I have successfully used
WinSCP to transfer utgg's BBCXMLParser.pm patch to my QNAP resident LMS
and all is now working fine. Many thanks.

My praise for this forum and its contributors is unlimited! I get
tremendous pleasure from my Squeezeboxes and, in particular, from the
BBC 'listen again' iPlayer. I believe that Squeezebox/LMS is the best
audio system available and, with the help of these expert contributors,
will remain so for the foreseeable future.

By the way, The Apple iPhone, with Logitech Squeezebox Controller app,
works brilliantly and I recommend it highly. I just hope that the Apple
iOS continues to support it. The Android equivalent app no longer works
with the latest Android update!!

Many thanks to Triode, bpa and many others for supporting the cause!

If you think the Logitech SB app works well on an iPhone do yourself a
BIG favour and try iPeng. Well worth the few £. It makes everything sing
and is IMHO the best app on my iPhone by a mile and a lot. It makes the
Logitech thing look like what it is - old and slow.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Classical Music menus and Custom Browse templates

2015-11-06 Thread MattyOh

I have setup my browse menus for classical music according to the
'Setup browse menu for classical music' wiki guide and have created
several seperate menus as follows:

Classical Music > Composer > Work
Classical Music > Composer > Conductor > Work
Classical Music > Composer > Soloist > Work

These work as expected but it would be much neater if I could 'nest' all
the menu choices after Composer together so that the user would see a
further menu choice after selecting their desired composer... something
like this:

Classical Music
*L* COMPOSER

*L *CONDUCTOR
Soloist
Work

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO CREATE THIS USING EXISTING
CUSTOM BROWSE TEMPLATES AND IF SO GIVE ME SO ADVICE ABOUT HOW TO DO IT
PLEASE?
IF THERE ARE NO TEMPLATES BUT IT IS POSSIBLE, HOW MUCH EFFORT WOULD THIS
TAKE, AND COULD SOMEONE WITH VERY LIMITED XML/SQL KNOWLEDGE BE ABLE TO
DO THIS?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

MATT

You might need this Bryn,

perl-io-socket-ssl

look at the post just above about Synology NAS, #575, the qnap will most
likely be the same.

If you back up the config files (what were the digital output mods that
you did?) then you can reinstall them.

I think you can go up to v7.8.0. without file editing trickery.

I run LMS on a rpi b2 or Odroid C1+ now.

Good luck

Ronnie

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: YouTube Plugin

2015-11-06 Thread Man in a van

Bryn, below are two examples, I know that Qnap Linux is different, you
might have to install ipkg.

If some one who has done this on a Qnap would jump in and help that
would be great, otherwise try the Qnap forums, or just google about with
different search terms and see what you come up with.

My Nas is stored away and I can't get to it soon.

There is also a Qnap thread on the forum about SSODS/SSOTS (whatever)

Just buy a pi:p

Ronnie.

Please post back in a couple of weeks with your views. Pippin - the

I'm convinced Pippin never sleeps. Either that or there are actually two
of him and they take it in turns to sleep.

Yes Pippin is very helpful on the iPeng support forum.

I have apparently installed perl via QPKG (web browser) but from my SCP
command line, all the commands perl, apt-get, ipkg, sudo, apt-get just
respond with "program not found". So I fall at the first hurdle. :-(

Yes if someone who knows QNAP NAS could help I'd be very grateful.
Thanks anyway

Earlier in this thread, another user posted that
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?87731-Announce-YouTube-Plugin&p=810751&viewfull=1#post810751.
There is also a follow-up message a few posts later. Be careful to only
follow the part related to the QNAP SSL installation. All the rest
regarding the plugin itself is not valid anymore as I've now integrated
all the code into the new plugin for API v3

LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Sonos 2xPLAY:1,
PLAY:3, PLAY:5, Marantz NR1603, JBL OnBeat, XBMC, Foobar2000, XBoxOne
