Previously (I've not used the CCA for a couple of weeks) I used to set the volume on the Chromecast app on my phone to about 70% on the slider, and then control the volume using the Squeeze Ctrl app on my phone, this gave a usable volume range comparable to my SBT and a Raspi connected to the same DAC. Now the LMS volume control seems to control the volume slider on the Chromecast app. on a scale 0-100 on the webgui, 5 is background music, anything above 15 is getting too loud. I'm certain it was never like this. kidstypike LMS on Raspberry Pi 2 model B/max2play/HiFiBerry DAC+ > AVI DM5 1 x SB3 - 1 x Boom - 1 x (Squeezebox) Radio - 2 x Touch - 2 x Raspberry Pi/max2play/HiFiBerry kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
I discovered - just by accident, that Castbridge stops playing after a while (est. 4-6 minutes) when I stream from TuneIn Radio. I have not tested other streaming sources so I do not know if this behaviour is with TuneIn only or with any streaming source. What I can say, is that casting mp3 files from my library, works perfectly and continously for hours. When the casting stops unexpectingly during radio streaming, selecting a different player and then back again to the ChromeCast, does not fix the problem. I have to stop castbridge completely and restart it in order to continue playing anything. Any idea what causes this? oyvindo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19302 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Me again (sorry :D ) Here are some log files from Philippe's plugin and the newest official version of Daphile (no FLAC playback possible at all) and with a Daphile-beta version from December (continuous FLAC playback possible but with "unwanted stops" in tracks 3 and 7). "Chunked (open range)" and "no size" are the two HTTP streaming options I have FLAC playback with the bridge versions from 0.2.7.1. "Chunked (open range)" seems to be more stable compared to "no size". Besides only FLAC playback up to 96/24bit is now possible. 192/24 causes noise. Then a log file from the bridge plugin and "fixed large size" as HTTP streaming option (that's what I was using with 0.2.5.0) working with one Daphile-beta version from January. First song (FLAC): playback is not possible. Second song (DSD as DoP flagged): no sound. Third song (mp3): playback is fine. Maybe Kimmo can take a look at the files, too. Strange, that from that Beta in December (where you have kicked SqueezePlay) I lost the FLAC playback with the bridge plugin. DSD playback still worked as long as I had installed the 0.2.5.0 version. The current issues why the test version is still considered test and not production. 1. The BBC DASH streams are still beta and so underlying tech could still be tweaked. 2. Live DASH streams can stop as often as once / hr. This is due to long response time from BBC (http get reponse can take up to 3 mins). This could be a BBC implementation issue as DASH stream are still beta. I am also testing changes to plugin to minimise this effect. 3. There is an issue which stops live DASH streams playing - I can't reproduce. It seems to affect Windows based systems possibly most likely with "high end" servers (i.e. CPU with lots of cores i7). 4. There is a possible similar issue to 2 with Castbridge but with "ordinary" servers. Not sure if 2 & 3 are related. 5. Occasional playback issues with "Listen Again" is playback is started very near end of program. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103435 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The free one? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: YouTube Plugin
Hi All, I keep struggling with the stream quality. It doesn't matter if I have it set to "prefer low" in settings or not, it still sounds crappy :) Server (7.9.0) on Windows 7, Youtube Plugin version: 0.37.4. Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Wondering if it's a local transcoding issue or maybe the plugin selects the lower quality bitrate for some reason. Note - I have no issues with bandwidth etc... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe and hi Kimmo (good that you are here), I managed to unzip the version 0.2.5.0 using the Daphile-beta version 15.12-b080808-x86_64-rt (with ssh access). Unfortunately the bridge plugin doesn't want to start. The user rights should be ok? Or does 0.2.7.2 interfere? 19730 19728 19729 +---+ |Filename: user_rights.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19730| +---+ Holzohr's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=55329 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
