pinkdot - any chance you'll try to sort out audio:scan problem to fix DSD support? Version you provided 1032 doesn't work, I'm away now but once I'll be back I'll send you logs. Would be nice to test new DAC with DSD material. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
I 'think' I used to be able to play through my phone SB Player or Squeeze Player and this app when I want to stream away from home using duckdns.org to connect. I can connect via duckdns and use Squeeze Player and the basic web interface, but I don't seem to be able to connect to my server remotely via your app. I have entered it as one of the servers .duckdns.org but it won't connect. In fact, I don't even get the spinning circle as if it is trying to connect. This may not be clear, but hopefully you get the idea. Suggestions? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Family for Squeezebox
Typically problems with Spotify are firewall problems. I have reinstalled LMS to try to repair problems but I have never used this plug-in (family account) except as a single user so I am unaware of any problems from that. Which version of LMS are you using and more information on your NAS might help some one figure out what's keeping the helper app from running. I would try to install the Normal Spotify plug in with the Protocol Helper and see if that works before I would reinstall LMS. I assume you had Triodes version working before you tried the family version. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce - Song info plugin for FIP radio
Thanks Jeremy. I've been making a new one today ... to add the 7 Internet-only stations from France Musique ... so I'll probably end up with an add-in call RadioFrance that can do FIP and France Musique and maybe some others. France Musique Internet stations are: Classique Easy Classique Plus Concerts Radio France Ocora Monde La Jazz La Contemporaine Classique Kids / L'evenementielle (currently plays as Kids but other naming suggests this might change from time to time) Looks like no point in doing the main France Musique because they seem to only provide programme info and TuneIn already has that. The older SB layers (e.g. Boom, Receiverm, Classic, Transporter) cannot play AAC audio format natively so it has to be trasncoded into a playable format (by default Flac as no loss). If you are playing to a Touch, Radio or Squeezelite AAC which can play AAC natively then no transcoding will occur at LMS. AAC is an audio format. DASH, file, HLS and http are "transport" not format so transcoding will always if the source is in AAC format. Only live MP3 stream do not need transcoding. > Should I be using different streams (e.g. not DASH) and different > Streaming Preference settings in the plugin config? You can but DASH offers 320kbps AAC for UK users which is much better than other formats so setting "DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC" is best option.DASH format also offers "Live" skip back. > Is there a lowest common denominator for the players that I have? Doesn't matter if using LMS. http/mp3 is using mysb.com > And if the BBC removes these streams, what are my options? Replace the > player(s)? MP3 stream are only of concern if you are using mysb.com - otherwise LMS will always transcode. I will up this to a minute and try it out. Thank you for explaining. This helps a lot in understanding the differences with the iPlayer vs. other streams. I did not, which is why I mentioned that I could not find the BBC iPlayer menu item, as I could not find the latest links. I thought it might be pertinent. I now have the menu items and have tried these new links. Still the same, but I need to try the 1 min delay as mentioned earlier. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
