I haven't checked it out yet but the "wide character" is usually where an accented/arabic/chinese/dingbat/symbols etc character (i.e beyond the 8 bit ASCII characters) is in the metadata and the code has assumed only 8 bit characters would be in the metadata. I added the external repo again to get access to this immediately. Yesterday I was able to crash LMS when accessing WWTT, which displayed no album covers. Now the album covers appear very quickly, and everything else keeps working smoothly. Thank you! On a side note, after those crashes Material defaulted to the top player in the list, which was my "All" group... causing me to briefly wake someone else sleeping in on that fine weekend morning. Oops. That helped me remember I'd been meaning to create a group with a name that will sort to the top of the list, containing only my desktop PC player. With the latest version Radio Paradise images take around 15 to 20 seconds to appear when the same image appears immediately on the Touch screen. This is with image resizing performed by mysqueezebox.com. Using default mysqueezebox image resizing. I did have to restart LMS and Squeezelite-X a couple times to get the images displaying again on the Regular Stream I had been listening to. Other RP streams worked OK. Perhaps a reset is in order there as well. Hello - I've found recently that Spotty (through the LMS web interface) will only pull 199 songs into a playlist regardless of the length of the playlist on spotify. This is NOT using the spotify connect method, just the standard web server approach. I recall seeing in an earlier thread that the max was 500. So I'm wondering if something changed, or if I have something setup incorrectly on my end. I don't think I've really paid attention to the playlist length until recently, so I don't know if I ever had longer playlists or not. The only playlist setting I've found on the server so far is settings->advanced->performance->maximum playlist length, which I have set at 500. (which I'm guessing is default). Hi Philippe I used the excellent YouTube plugin successfully for a good while, then stopped using is it as I succumbed to Spotify Premium which contains most of what I search for. But not all. So a few days ago I tried a YouTube search, and all appeared OK, but no sound. The timer showed the track playing, then skipped back to the beginning after a while, but still no sound. I wondered if the API was no longer OK (have had problems in other contexts with Google authorisation changes) so went to Settings and obtained Client ID, Secret key and then code, and apparently successfully authorised, and tried again. Still no sound. Track timer advances, after a while (40 secs) skips back to zero and restarts, then same thing happens over and over (and "pause" button doesn't stop it - have to play a different (non-YouTube) track to stop it. Same thing happens using my iphone iPeng as player, and using my SB Touch (with EDO). Should I turn on some logs and post the output? Which ones? I have 0.87.0 of the YouTube plugin. Thanks! Tried this latest versio still halts lms when I go into plugins. And takes ten minutes plus to load lms If you had Spotty enabled, uninstall it (pres will survive) and restart again. One new problem here in 0.8.0 with the RP plugin: when I close SLX, put the PC to sleep, and then reopen SLX later, this is what I see where previously I would have seen the album art from the last track played or else the RP logo. (I posted this on the old thread earlier - sorry for confusion) I used the excellent YouTube plugin successfully for a good while, then stopped using it as I succumbed to Spotify Premium which contains most of what I search for. When I removed the hidden main window (2.2.9), the behavior changed to open the main window. I can change this behavior back I think, but haven't yet, because I think I need to change it up a bit. There have been people (first time user) who has started up SLX and when they didn't see the window and did not know it was in the tray, they have gotten confused and written a bad 1-star review saying the program did not work. So now I am thinking of making this a setting where by default it will show the window on startup, and have the user set a setting to start hidden. Then at least it would avoid that confusion. Thanks for asking, I should have mentioned this when it changed. I'll start work on the new setting for this. Odd how with no actual image, the resizing does not take place (thw white line). I'll look into this and try and fix.
