So, (e.g.) if it has multiply artists - are these separate tags, or 1 tag bu semi-colon separated, etc? I tried creating a track with Linda Ronstadt as artist and Neil Young as composer - and I got the bio of Linda Ronstadt. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Hi all I've been trying for a while to get CastBridge working on my HP server running Vortexbox. I kept getting messages about not being able to load SSL libraries. I tried searching this thread but at this stage it is so huge I wasn't able to find much - until I saw something mentioning the static version. After much faffing around and giving up I used 'static' binary. Hey presto my error went away! Now when I start CastBridge I see Start:1016 Binding to 192.168.0.152:49152 Now 192.168.9.152 is my server address, so it's doing *something* on port 49152 Within the server settings tab on the web interface I can see the chromecast as a player. It has the same IP address as the server - is that a bad thing? At this stage I thought I had things working - but when I went to *use* the chromecast as a player it wasn't on the list of available players. I went back into Settings and on the player tab it is there What have I done wrong? I'm also lacking in tech skills enough that I'm not sure how to open ports on Windows firewall but I hope that that isn't the issue. If you can help me see my player I'll try to take it from there Thanks Damian damian.duffy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14718 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Exclude Files and Folders (aka. IgnoreDirREManager)
The little "Exclude Files and Folders" plugin allows you to define a regular expression to filter out files and folders during scans or while browsing the music folder. This can be useful to eg. hide all those "@eaDir" items your beloved NAS creates inside your music folders. Please be careful with what you do: by defining a generous regex you could easily hide large parts of your music collection :-). The possibility to exclude items based on a regex is not new. It's been there for more than a decade! Alas: there was no way to define that regex other than manipulating the prefs file. Which probably nobody ever did. This plugin therefore only exposes hat variable to you and does some very basic validation. Therefore please do NOT ask for more features which are not purely UI related... Look in the console tab of your browser's developer tools. You should see lines such as: Code: [07:11:06] JSON PLAYER (00:01:02:03:04:05): {"power":1,"player_ip":"127.0.0.1:58104","playlist_cur_index":"0","playlist_timestamp":1564747862.82473,"digital_volume_control":1,"time":1.41557229614258,"signalstrength":0,"playlist shuffle":0,"player_connected":1,"seq_no":0,"playlist repeat":2,"rate":1,"playlist_tracks":3,"player_name":"Wibble","playlist_loop":[{"rating":"40","year":"1980","type":"mp3","tracknum":"1","duration":2.112,"title":"Hmm","playlist index":0,"album":"Wibble","album_id":"44271","genre":"Rock","artist":"Wobble","artist_ids":"86415","id":53227,"artist_id":"86415","bitrate":"128kbps CBR"}],"playlist mode":"off","mixer volume":21,"duration":2.112,"mode":"pause","can_seek":1} ...this is the status from LMS and details the curent track. These details are what are used to get biography, etc. You should also see lines that have: Code: [07:11:18] JSON REQ: ["",["musicartistinfo","biography","html:1","artist_id:86415"]] ...this is the request for biography info. So, please load Material with debug, clear play queue, navigate in browse-view to desired track, clear console, play track, press 'i' button. Paste the relevant lines from the console window (as shown above) here. This should give me more info to work on. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Not sure if this is a set up issue on my part or a problem with the software . So I will just detail the issue and see if anyone else has had the same problem and if there is a simple issue . Just to start will detail my system and how it is set up LMS - Max2play Rpi4 Beta - Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Player - JustBoom Digi - Raspberry Pi 3+ Player - HiFiberry Digi Pro - Raspberry Pi 4 2GB Now in the past I have always used Max2play for LMS and then loaded the players with Picoreplayer and this has worked . Having only newly added the RPi 4 HiFiBerry player I decided to try out the Max2play install for HiFiBerry . Everything loaded and this unit will be used as a player only .Found the ISP got in to the Max2play set up pages and made the name changes so it was easy to identify . Started it up and found it in LMS started it playing a song mix but after about a minute the music stopped and the player was no longer visible . Rebooted LMS and Pi , rebooted player and the same thing happened. Did a complete clean install for the player but again the same thing kept happening. I then tried loading Max2play for the Raspberry Pi 3 + using the dedicated download and again usingin the install for JustBoom . Activated the player and the same thing happened with this player work and appear for about a minute then stop and the player lost from LMS . All my players are wired ethernet connected so it was not that internet was lost and even when they stopped I was able SHH into the players via Putty . As I was getting a little frustrated with this I loaded picoreplayer to both using the Beta 6.0 and 5.1 respectively . Both these work and they show up on LMS all the time . This solves my problems and if it stays this way will not cause me any issues . However it would be nice to have all the items using the same software . System - Concordant Exhilirant Valve Pre , SBT Triode EDO,Toolbox 3.0 , Theta Data Basic II Transport , Perpetual Technology P-1a,P-3a,Anti Mode 2.0 Dual Core,Krell KSA50 MK 1 . bencat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=54878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Playing "Love is a rose" by Linda Ronstadt I get the Artist Biography of Neil Young when I use the "i" info button. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
I seem to miss a place where I can see what goes on in developing squeezeserver itself. Are there any plans/roadmaps? Any "official" releases pending/happening Probably the wrong place to ask/answer, but anyway: - plans/roadmaps? No. I got a bucket list of which I pick a feature every now and then, but that's it. - official as in what? Community official (like 7.9.1)? Logitech official? (that would be a No) Synology official? Who knows? I know I can read through git commits, but often they are too technical to tell me what exactly the reasoning/user level change/plan is behind the commit. I didn't found anything like that in the other forums here either. This probably because most recent changes were minor tweaks and bug fixes to the core functionality. No new features. There's also https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?98711, which links to slightly more human readable changelogs. I don't always updated them, but do so if I think I changed something noteworthy. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Changelog can be found here, see top: http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/blob/public/7.9/Changelog7.html AFAIK, there is no roadmap. But this leads me to a related question I dare to ask even if this may not be the right place for it. I always wonder what new features / bug fixes a new package brings, and I seem to be pretty lost on this here. I seem to miss a place where I can see what goes on in developing squeezeserver itself. Are there any plans/roadmaps? I didn't found anything like that in the other forums here either. Maybe actually rather a question to Michael here... jtl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46494 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

OK. I'm still not 100% convinced Material is 100% to blame, but I have implemented a work-around that seems to resolve the issue. Please update your LMS to today's build. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
Hi I have a DS413 (ppc) currently running stock LMS v7.7.6 - 1452060463, with a SB Classic (yes!), iPeng and a few SqueezePlay desktop players. Am very interested in upgrading to your LMS 7.9.2 :D Can I just apply the LmsUpdate as a direct update to the installed LMS, or do I need to first uninstall LMS fully and then install LmsUpdate as a new package? How do I preserve or migrate settings? If I uninstall LMS, I assume the music database disappears and would need to be rescanned?
