Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
@Laz I think it is not related to the system/os nor to the network. I am on a Linux with ARM CPU (Raspberry) and a cabled network. My problems began when I changed to 7.9.3 and Spotty 4.2 from 7.9.2 and Spotty 4.x (dont know the exact verdion) which worked pretty fine over several month. Is there a way to downgrade to a previous Spotty version? schlenn's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70408 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

LMS expects to have full control of a player and actually sends a volume 0 command *before* pausing players. The difficulty is that I have no way to know if this is user volume command or an LMS one due to upcoming pause. Actually, I'm undoing the volume 0 when a pause is received, but AFAIK, this problem does not exist when stopping a player by clearing the queue. Short tracks still disconnect. I also monitored the spotty process in task manager. Spotty.exe terminates shortly after the device disconnects in the Spotify app (I'm not sure if this is by design). 2) I did a clean install of LMS 7.9.3 (Windows) on a machine that I'm running Squeezelite-X on. Short tracks disconnect almost immediately and spotty.exe also terminates shortly afterwards. One new data point. If I start a queue with a long song followed by a short one and allow the long song to play to completion, the short song will also play to completion. However, spotty.exe still dies at the start of the short song and all playback stops at the end of the short song (tested with pink flag again - starting with Reuters and allowing playback to continue onto Field Day for the Sundays). This happens with both servers. I've also got a macos system - I'll run a test on that later. I tried to check the album @schlenn provided - unfortunately, the tracks aren't licensed in Australia. However, the behaviour I get is different to that described by @schlenn. SpotifyConnect/spotty dies when I start a short track - tracks are not skipped. That said, it sounds like our problems are related. Foobar receive 24/96 file an plays it nicely. What might happen is that (I've seen that in the past) some players claim they accept wav and actually do, but can't handle 24 bits wav, like the Lumi seems to do. They will accept 24 bits flac and truncate them to 16 bits but can't do 24 bits wav. So, unless you have a reason I don't get, I strongly suggest that you use flac for transcoding LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] TrackStat plugin - location of data to manually amend entry?
Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure that I'll have the time to attempt the import of the track_history data with the risk that I may break my LMS installation and the additional time that would take to fix. Is it possible to view the history of all the occasions when a particular track has been played? I have had a dig around with TrackStat and couldn't find anything which leads me to think that the track_history table is more for TrackStat to calculate what to populate the lists of Tracks recently played or Played long ago that you can select. You'd need to export the data from the copy and import it into the current one (deleting the data in the table before doing so). Most DB editors should be able to do this (including the CLI sqlite3 client). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Apologies if this was already answered but I cannot find it. I really like new Spotty library integration but wondering what is best way to segregate local other audio albums from purely music ones. I know there was "Multi Library" plugin (Which I never used) but I don't think it works well in LMS 8 or with latest Spotty. I've tried running another LMS in Docker so I can access "sub library" with "Remote Libraries" but really I have 2 more sub Libraries I would like to create and running 3 docker LMS instances seem like overkill. Also there is problem with "Remote Libraries" as it won't allow me to add whole Folder to queue ( Server error) and only single files seem to work. What would be best way to approach this? Ideally I'm looking for : Main Library : Local Music + Spotty Music Sub Library1: Non music audio 1 Sub Library2: Non music audio 2 Any solution which will allow to only list Main Library in , Artists, Albums, Random Albums etc would be great. This is definitely an ongoing problem for me. I've now confirmed it happens for most of the short tracks on Pink Flag, and has occurred several more times on other short tracks. Eg. Minutemen - Paranoid Chant, Minor Threat - Minor Threat. I've regularly been testing with a playlist of very short tracks (a couple dozen seconds). And it should work fine.
