[SlimDevices: Plugins] Cannot make airplay or UPnP plugins detect my players
I want to send audio from my MacBook to my LMS players but they are no longer seen by my Mac. This was working earlier in the year but now it is not. I have LMS 8.0.0 @ Thu Sep 10 2020 on Debian 10, with Airplay v0.4.41.4 & UPnP/DLNA bridge v1.40.8. I can see my Linn DSM in both plugins but I can't see any of my players (there are 8: two booms; two duets; two radios; and some frankenboxes) as airplay targets/ renderers. I've tried restarting everything and looking at .config files but I can't see any thing that helps me understand what I aim not doing now that I was before. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? What should I be looking for? stuarty's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32294 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112937 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

On two Airplay Bridge players this happened: On first click of the mute button, volume was set to very loud, probably maximum but I can't be certain of that. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Not sure if this can be done, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. :-) I usually have my player on shuffle, I listen to a lot of playlists so that makes sense. Occasionally I listen to an album, and would like it to play in it's natural (non-shuffled) order. Is it possible with a right-click menu to "Play Album Unshuffled" for just that selection? Thanks for the great skin! removebrain's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62826 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Not sure this is a Material issue or something else, but I found some very odd behaviour using the 'mute' button on my remote. The mute button performs the following command: Code: curl -X POST -d '{ "id": 1, "method": "slim.request", "params":["aa:bb:cc:dd:ee", ["mixer", "muting"]]}' servername.local:9000/jsonrpc.js In Material the speaker icon (next to the volume) does indeed switch from regular to muted (with the slash), but the volume doesn't follow.. Sometimes the volume actually goes up in stead of down.. I've tried different variations of the command, like "mixer, muting, 1" and "mixer, muting, 0", but they all show the same behaviour. The player I use here is a Pi with Volumio and Airplay (DSD direct and Mixer type None). So if if "mute" does not actually change the volume but it does do something else, does anybody know what it does? jeroen2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70418 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I just submitted Version 2.7.1 to the Store Changes: - Fix language encoding problem in output device names - Added toggle option for display of server name in Title Bar - Compiled with new version of compiler and GUI framework. New custom titlebar component makes resize handles around window border better. The resize handle area no longer slightly overlaps with window content. Less flicker resize. - Fixed issue with invoking mini-player for next version of Material skin. - Updated version of Chromium Embedded Framework R Greg Dawson Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Youre correct. If I open the webUi, I need to click Lyrics. I was testing before with iPeng, and it will fetch the lyrics when viewing the track. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Sugarcube Alphabetical Preferences
I thought I'd give a quick update; I decided to add ratings to one genre (none of my tracks have them) and try out the ratings recipe from the original MIP settings, which worked as it should and more or less solved the problem of track selection. However, now when I choose a genre with no ratings without turning the recipe off, I'm getting similar results...suddenly all folders are getting seemingly equal attention. Not sure what having the ratings recipe turned on for tracks with no ratings is doing but if you also are having these kinds of track selection issues maybe try it as I'm curious if others would have the same results. typecrazy789's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Hi, Not quite sure how to debug this since it's somewhat intermittent. Set up: LMS 8.0 nightly, Spotty 4.3.0. Players: squeezelite on RPis (not PCP). Latest iPeng on iOS 13 devices for control. Problem: sometimes when a Spotty track is selected to play now in iPeng, the following track on the list is played. Usually trying it the second time plays the correct track. Steps to reproduce: use the Spotty interface in LMS through ipeng to e.g. search for a track. Select a track to play from the returned list. The track below the one you selected plays (the metadata is that of the playing track, so there is no mismatch). Observations: it doesn't happen always, but if Spotty enters this state, it happens every time until things begin to work OK again (usually 5-10 songs). It seems to happen more frequently with list of output of searches than with saved playlists. But I think I've had it happen for both. I've not observed it through the web interface, but I usually use Spotty through ipeng, so this may be just a selection effect. Cheers. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Tx, so does "using" mean using my own artist photo library or trying to view artist photos (and letting MAI download and cache/store them)? MAI would first look in your music folder. If it can't find an artist picture there it looks in the folder you define in the MAI settings. Failing that it'll look online. If you've defined an artist picture folder, then the result of the online search would be stored in that folder for future use. But there's nothing in my mai/artist (except 'artist.png.missing' 0 bytes), artwork or lyrics folders or in cache/mai_coverart. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Though I don't actually like the Riva Arena I've added to my set-ups (don't like the sound, think it has connectivity stability issues), I did have it easily working via AirPlay Bridge PlugIn in the second of my set-ups below. Having moved it to the first of the set-ups, I'm having very little luck at all in getting sustained availabilty. BTW, I'm using the same LMS laptop installation in both locations. Having moved the Riva, I easily connected it to my local WiFi via Google Home. I even got it to play via LMS a few times. I can Chromecast to it via this laptop, and can also play it via both Google Play and the Riva Wand App (the latter only when it's "in the mood" - very flaky app.). However, now LMS has stopped driving it at all. I've tired a factory reset and re-setup of the Riva - no improvement. LMS doesn't list it as an available player. However in Airplay Settings it's listed at the foot of the page, with the correct name and MAC. Here's a sample raopbridge-log . Any ideas?
