In my case, when playing to one of the 3 CCAs I have, or the Home group that contains these devices, I'm not trying to play or sync to any other none CCA device at the same time. I've turned off synchronisation options for all CCAs, as per the guidance on this forum. I'll try and share a log file the next time I experience the playback sticking issue I described. There doesn't appear to be any kind of pattern to this that I can see so far, but it doesn't happen when playing to a USB DAC or the Pi, so this does suggest it's an issue with the Chromecast Bridge. Ignore the visualisation for the moment - it is driven from the data stream from LMS. No audio output is an issue with the output device. If as a result of Pulseaudio or something else, some other application has access to audio output device - it can kill output from Squeezelite to same device - Squeezelite wants sole access. Please confirm your Raspbian version - I think it is Buster ? Please confirm you want to use the HDMI port and not the Headphone ? What Alsa device did you use on the Squeezelite command line (e.g. hw:CARD=b1,DEV=0 plughw:CARD=b1,DEV=0 ) When test playing with omxplayer are using "-o hdmi" or "-o alsa:" If using "-o hdmi" - test playing with omxplayer using same Alsa device as you use on Squeezelite ? Well, to be fair, Material sometimes shows an empty area briefly - if a list is scrolled too fast, as the Javascript has no time to catchup (affects list more than grid). With Squeezer's 'Loading' issue, I 'reported' (https://github.com/nikclayton/android-squeezer/issues/201) that -years- ago (before starting on Material), and the simple fix was to fetch more items in one go. A few things. 1.) My WiFi quality is excellent as I have access points located within 10 feet of the CC. They are on 2.4G. Also, the Raspberry Pi Masters are Ethernet wired. 2.) The CC is never the Master of the two Devices that I am syncing. What I am doing is the Raspberry Pi is the Master and the CC is the Slave. The RPi output is fed to a DAC for the Audio and the CC is only used to display the Artwork on the TV. 3.) Yes, I have tried different Raspberry Pi as the Masters. I have got an Upstairs System and a Downstairs System. Two Different Raspberry Pi used as Masters, and 2 Different Chromecasts used as the Slaves to Display artwork on Two different TVs. And I have experienced similar problems on Both Systems. Hi, I am on LMS 7.9.2 with Material Skin using CustomScan, CustomBrowse and MultiLibrary. How can I sort my genres (Classical Music, Rock & Pop etc.) in an order other then alphabetically? I read something about sort values like "ComposerSort", however, I have no idea how to implement it... Yes I'm using Raspbian 10.7 and HDMI output. I've never needed to set an output option previously - the default was always fine, but suddenly none of the options listed by -l worked, even though hdmi and also was still working for omxplayer. Anyway, I was going in circles and nothing I tried was working. I suspected something had become corrupt and now it's working after reinstalling raspbian. Could you describe what you are trying to accomplish and why
alphabetically sorting isnt suitable ?
In theory I think it would be possible to scan GENRE and GENRESORT tags
with the Custom Tag module provided in Custom Scan and build a genre
menu in Custom Browse based on this data. However, depending what you
want to accomplish there might be better/easier solutions. There is
support for custom genre sorting in LMS database and browsing logic but
the standard scanner just puts an uppercase value in the sort attribute.
Depending what you want to accomplish it might be better to have some
post scanning action that adjust the namesort column in genres table to
your preferred sorting order. If I remember correctly someone made a
plugin for post scanning actions a number of years ago, not sure if it
was officially released though.

Thanks for your quick reply. Actually, I am trying to achieve nothing fancy... I have quite a few genres, that's why my by far most used genre "Rock & Pop" is not on the start screen of my control point (Material Skin on Android), but kind of hidden at the bottom of the list. So I wanted to change that and sort the genres according to the frequency of use. It is not that important and I can live with my current solution. By the way, I love your work. Odd one this, I was trying to add some entries to the App Menu and I was trying to cheat using the Examples in the Help. ;-) But I found some odd copy/paste issues: In Help, right clicking some text doesn't bring up a context menu with copy, so I have to use Ctrl-Insert to copy. Then in the AppMenu table if I use Shift Insert to paste, it results in a blank line. However right clicking to bring up a paste option does work in the AppMenu. Is this deliberate to stop cheating? One shows the switch, the other doesnt in either Safari or Chrome and despite clearing cache, reboot etc refuses to do. So I have one iOS device that is showing New Music correctly and it is the one that shows me the switch inside settings. Could it be that this one has a cache of 2.2.2? I havent cleared its cache as its working. Has the show all artists switch been accidentally removed from 2.2.3? As usual, I first wish to thank you for keeping up the development of this. Hours of joy and trouble free music enjoyment on my desktop. Thank you! I came to ask about a functionality that I hoped could be added but after installing the last version (2.7.14.0) I suspect the functionality is there but it's giving me problems. I would like for the back function on the mouse (the one that makes you browse back in internet browsers) to apply to the music library panel, while browsing through music. Now what I see is that the first press does nothing and the second press completely blanks the program window. Knowing there's Chromium in the background, I pressed F5 to reload and that brings me back to the initial screen. Now I press F5 a couple of times and... the back button on the mouse works as expected. So, all in all, not much of a bug report, I'm aware. I run two LMS servers in different locations, I've just noticed that with the Android version of Material I can customise the colours per server and it remembers them on server auto-discovery. Playing around with a pushbutton ngrok install, it would be very convenient if the user had nothing at all to edit after downloading the script and only had to run it. The two 'unknowns' are his/her uuid (which I have a nice solution for) and LMS IP address (I don't just want to assume it'll be localhost:9000 although that is better than nothing). I do have a tiny nodejs script that broadcasts on UDP 3483 and discovers LMS servers but I cannot assume any javascript availability on the host machine. Does anybody have any ideas on how the *LMS server discovery *could be done from Bash or Shell, maybe using e.g. netcast? I've tried Code: nc -u -l 3483 but it won't divulge the IP address of the responding server. I have been using Custom Browse for several years including installs with LMS 8 and 8.1 sucessfully. I now find that a number (most) of the menus do not return any results. These include album,artist,genre, new artist, new album. menus that do get results are year and playlist. I know that the plugin is not supported as it once was but I was hoping to get a bit more use from it. My last attempt to correct this issue was to upgrade to LMS 8.2 as it has better support for Erland's plugins. Also not working quite right is Trackstat which just returns and empty screen when selected but I still appear to have tracks with ratings. Everything was working a short time ago, not quite sure what has changed. It also has the big advantage of being the same no matter what device you use it on. Ive always been a big fan of iPeng and I still use it a lot but now as a player only on iOS and control with Material on the same iOS device. In the office I use Material as an app on my PC to control the Office players. At home I use Material on my iOS devices to either control players plugged into HiFi etc or the iPeng instance on my iPhone (coupled with Audioquest Dragonfly and decent headphones) when SWMBO is watching carp TV. Problem solved. I havve had this problem frequenty happening with Dynamic Playlists when I updated LMS to a newer version; the setting for library (I have multi library installed) gets deleted and I have to reset it in SQL Playlists. This time it happened in my Custom Browse menu settings.
