Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I know. But d6jg was asking if the track had no genre that a request should be made to get the online genre By this I took it to mean the genre that the album had been mapped into, as I thought it was possible to manually map artists/albums from servives into genres. -If- this is Oh, ok. Yes, there indeed is a manual genre mapping. But it's only applied to tracks imported into the library. I'd have to see how the same could be applied to tracks being played from the services directly. But I'd certainly try to keep it in the same responses you already get, rather than adding more fields or queries. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

LOL Yes, back to LMS controlling volume output. Interesting that the reason I set max volume at +15 was I was finding that the levels I was getting weren't high enough, now I know why, the amp wasn't getting turned up along with LMS hence if the amp's volume was at -30 then I wasn't getting much vol, setting max at +15 helped. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
What’s the protocol? Do you contact Michael to add to the Json call? It's not me asking for this change. I'd also prefer if the online-service's genre could be in the player status message - perhaps the protocol could be extended to have an 'album' genre field? Unfortunately most music services (and in particular Spotify) don't care about genres. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Well, assuming that your test above is the display sort order you see, it looks very similar to what I observed (which is to say, inconsistent and sub-optimal on which last name / last word it uses to sort): "The Aristocrats" > A "King Crimson" > C "Liquid Tension Experiment" > E "Peter Gabriel" > G "Tony Levin" > L "Dua Lipa" > L "Sting" > S Oh, you're right, of course... As the others happen to be pretty much sorted by the first character (except for "THE Aristocrats" where I thought Qoubz was smartly removing "The") I didn't look at it your way. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the Qobuz documentation :-(. So I don't know whether this is new default behaviour which could be changed per request. But it looks wrong to me anyway. Hopefully they'll change that again. Until then I'll sort in the plugin. Update is on its way. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
No, I didn't. What I was advocating was that if a track has no genre, but the album associated with the track does, then there could be a new "album_genre_id" field added to the player status messages (along with a relevant "tags:" value to control its usage). Unfortunately there's no genre associated with an album. It's always associated with tracks. When importing from music services there _might_ be an album genre (depends on the servic). I'd then apply it to the tracks during the import. -- ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It is not a perfect solution (synchronization), but the best bet we have for using radios in new WIFI environment without external hardware (Vonets). I would propose to adapt the script in two ways: 1) no logging 2) 3 failed pings for triggering the restarting, instead of 6 pings. I remember when I first started this exercise the iPeng author and I had to collaborate on getting it to recognize the volume changes when the player was set to 100% output. I was pretty sure Squeezer did not support this initially too and that is why I never pursued the changes you have been making recently. So now someone needs to contact the Squeeze Ctrl author to ask them to pass the requests through to LMS to make this work there also. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi, and thanks for your great work. I had issues before using the plugin in a docker container, but they seem (almost) resolved. The only thing that bugs me is that a MuSo is not detected for the great part of the time. I connected it via ethernet to avoid issues with AP and WiFi magic. It is correctly detected from the other iOS devices. If I launch mds-scan from the console of the container I get: Code: + mu-so_CX_30:10:B3:F4:42:3E._suegrouping._tcp.local + Muso._airplay._tcp.local + Muso._naim-updater._tcp.local + Muso._spotify-connect._tcp.local But the MuSo is not always visible as player. What can I do to debug this? Dua Lipa is totally wrong in that list. On several levels :D > > I've seen temporary hiccups before. Maybe this resolves itself soon > again. Well, assuming that your test above is the display sort order you see, it looks very similar to what I observed (which is to say, inconsistent and sub-optimal on which last name / last word it uses to sort): "The Aristocrats" > A "King Crimson" > C "Liquid Tension Experiment" > E "Peter Gabriel" > G "Tony Levin" > L "Dua Lipa" > L "Sting" > S I had been avoiding the Home > All Artists navigation (even though I use the OMLI plugin as well) because any Qobuz -Albums -I had favorited would cause those -Artists -to show up in the list even when that Artist is not a Favorite Artist. But I could dump those favorite albums (from non-favorite Artists) into a separate playlist instead as a workaround. Or, I could wait around and see if this is a "blip" from the Qobuz API that will resolve itself :) kowloonside's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23798 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Just rename fab4.version to custom.fab4.version and fab4_8.0.1_r16844.bin to custom.fab4.bin. Then update. Worked for me on my radio (baby). Once you are done testing/updated , remove the custom.* files. Well must admit finding my way on the Fire Stick and trying to comprehend what is happening is a bit time consuming. As I just figured out how to scroll in Amazon Silk (pressing select AND maneuvering with the cursor buttons, bit hard but manageable) I leave the apk for what is is for now... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I've tried to install this firmware for my touch, I've never done this manually before, so maybe I'm missing something. I've downloaded and unzipped the files to C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\updates. There are x4 files, fab4.version, fab4.version.sha, fab4_8.0.1_r16844.bin, fab4_8.0.1_r16844.bin.sha I restart LMS, but the files seem to be overwritten with current version r16835, am I doing something wrong here? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I've uploaded a 'new firmware build to sourceforge' (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezeos/) for testing. It is NOT available via the community firmware plugin at this time and will need to be manually installed. The build includes the fix for "stuttering" aac stream playback, support for mono output channel mode added to LMS 8.2 and the mp3 decoder has been updated with the latest bug and security fixes. Version 8.0.1 r16844 - Mar 7 2021 Bug Fixes: AAC decoder audio drop outs playing high bit and sample rate streams. Improved dropbear ssh server security. Feature Changes: Add both channels mono output channel mode support. Balance control support confirmed. Update libmad MP3 decoder. You need a local LMS and the player should already be connected to it. Find the cache folder path in the LMS settings->information tab near the bottom. Mine is /opt/logitechmediaserver/cache Unzip the firmware file into the cache/updates folder and restart LMS. Alternatively, you can use the 'loading custom firmware' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom.baby.version) as documented on the old wiki, replace *baby* (radio) with *fab4* for the touch or *jive* for the controller. That is exactly what was happening with me. I had a song from Springsteen's A Letter To You playing through Flow and it was 320kbps. I tried playing the album direct in Deezer and just like that it turned to FLAC. I guess the Deezer Hifi is working in LMS after all, only cuts out to 320kbps once Flow begins. Most time if Flow is going I'm not doing "critical" listening ha, more background music. I can live with that I guess. Glad I found this post. cpd73 wrote: > How about this? FYI Craig I now have it working with a new icon in Material - based on the one called "Radio France (alternatif)" from the RF page I linked to above. I have cleared out the blue background and changed the fill from #00 to #000 so that Material can zap it and it seems to work in different themes (white changed to black for light). However, in doing so I have somehow broken the LMS Default UI because it is getting a 404 on the LMS generated 50x50 png. This might be because I have been messing around with editing files rather than go through the plugin install process. I am sure I can resolve it. So - feel free to remove the RadioFrance icon map in Material's icon-map.json at some point and it can fallback to the default if I have not yet released my updated plugin. I might ship with a few different icons to allow for experimentation on different devices - and perhaps configuration by the end-user so file names could be changing. I did try with SVG of the full text with Radio on top of France (as in their logo) and it was almost readable on a small screen phone ... but decided that it was not in keeping with the other icons. I used RF's own official SVGs with minimal editing so it means that the square icon has a ViewBox of something like 460x460 but it does seem to all get resized nicely as would be expected with SVG. Plus, it also shows the next episode of a program in a series when you have listened to a program to the end. So, there is no way to to delete/clear the list, that I'm aware of. But there is a couple of problems with the way it's implemented in the plugin : - It's not clear from the list presented in the plugin, which programs are "resume listening" and which are "Next Episode". I think the plugin should probably add a "NEXT EPISODE" or "RESUME", as appropriate, to the front of the title to make it clearer - There is a 'bug in the plugin' (https://github.com/expectingtofly/LMS_BBC_Sounds_Plugin/issues/74) where it seems that even though a program has been listened to the end the BBC seems to think that there is still 1 minute to listen to. So when you listen to a program to the end through the plugin, it is still appearing in the "continue listening" list! There must be some signal the plugin should be sending to indicate the end has been reached. I'll have a look at fixing the bug and add the enhancement to make the "continue listening" more usable.
