Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite - won't play Ogg Vorbis files and plays MP3s Mickey Mouse style
If I remember well (should look at squeezelite changelog)) there was a correction in mp3 decoder related to incorrect detection of frame alignement and that caused the sampling rate to be guessed wrong. I put a patch in squeezelite but as @ralphy pointed out, mp3 libmad had a correction done. So you might either need to update libmad or use a static version of squeezelite (I think there is one) LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. The Ogg Vorbis files play perfectly fine on HW players (Duet, Classic). The Mickey Mouse problem is also limited to squeezelite. I don't have any computers with Microsoft Windows, so I can't try your suggestion. Thanks, though! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
Hi: I have just finished rewriting my local TAGS of my 1205 album for matching with Spotify TAGS. I discovered a little strange thing. I have an author with two ocurrences: - "Bedrich Smetana". It is very strange because inside the Artists menu, there are no albums. It is empty. Only a "browse on Spotify" menu. If I click on the menu there is a Spotify album, but I have no this album - "BedÅich Smetana", then there is a local album and also the "browse on Spotify" menu". It does not work because Spotty or LMS doesn't work managing the non standard characters. If I delete the local album, the first ocurrence remains. It seems a different author but I don't know how to look for it Could you help me? I want to find/delete the first ocurrence. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Home Assistant media_player playlist URLs stopped working
Hi, I have HomeAssistant set up with some button presets that pass URLs to the LMS media player integration. It used to work with radio station URLs as well as Rhapd protocol URLs for Napster. I am playing Ogg/Vorbis files without any problems since the very first day I bought a SB Duet in 2010 via LMS running on a self installed Linux server. Since 2015 I am also using software players (Squeezelite) and never had issues with Ogg/Vorbis. Do you only use a manually configured Squeezelite config for playback or do you have other devices as well to test with? You also might test playback via Squeezelite-X, which should work out of the box on a Windows computer. If that works well then there is probably something wrong only with your Squeezelite settings. (Btw: the only issue I am having with Squeezelite is that gapless playback is not always perfect with Ogg/Vorbis, sometimes you can hear small glitches). *Living Room:* RPI2+HifiBerry DAC+ Pro & piCorePlayer *Attic:* RPI2+HifiBerry DAC+ RCA & piCorePlayer *Other rooms:* 6x SB Radio *LMS*: Version 8.2.0 on Xubuntu 21.04 zordaz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61726 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115044 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks for the reply! I see... it might be down to an old LMS then. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite - won't play Ogg Vorbis files and plays MP3s Mickey Mouse style
Hi! For a long time I've had a problem with squeezelite and my Ogg Vorbis library. Squeezelite is supposed to have built-in support for Vorbis (does not rely on external library or executables), yet it won't play mine. It plays FLACs fine. I've tried on multiple computers (all various Linux flavours). I suspect there's something wrong with my files, but they were all encoded by the standard Linux Vorbis tools. Anyone experience anything like this? Second problem that appeared more recently. Squeezelite play all my MP3s a bit too fast and too high pitch. I can't seem to connect it to anything specific, but it might have been a Ubuntu version upgrade. Certainly not a hardware change. Because the difference is noticable but not crazy (someone unfamiliar with the music at the correct pitch might not notice anything wrong, but would probably think the vocalists have somewhat light/high register voices), I suspect the reason is that Squeezelite is confused by 44.1 kHz vs 48kHz which I believe are two common sampling rates for digital audio. I tried the solution suggested in this thread, which is just specifying the output card, and that didn't work for me. Anyone have any ideas? The first is bad, because I have a lot of Ogg Vorbis files. The second one makes Squeezelite unusable. I use this plugin all the time for live and rewound radio - it's brilliant. However, I have an intermittent problem when I play programmes from the schedule in that if I play a programme from the start it sometimes ends early - several minutes early often. I can restart the programme and as long as I do a skip at some stage, it seems to play right to the end after that. I thought it might be the BBC data but the fact that it plays OK after skip suggests not. I noticed a problem report a few weeks back (from simoh) that sounded very similar but that one seemed to be fixed and in any case I don't have uPnPBridge installed. I just tried a test case (BBC More Or Less - The Rise of Delta). It started at about 10:42 and stopped just under three minutes from the end at about 10:47. Bug-fix release, main changes: - Fix browser tab/title not showing song details. - Call icon mapping code for items in 'My Music' and favourites. - When downloading, if track has no album artist then see if we can use the value from the current browse history. If this still fails and the track is marked as part of a compilation then use LMS's 'Various Artists' string. - Add support for sending notifications from perl to webapp - see https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-material/wiki/Detailed-Information for more info. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS Announce - play announcements / notifications
You must not encode the colons when using curl. The percent sign would then be encoded either, as Roland0 wrote above. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109096 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Why is that? probably double encoding of the playerid parameter. as karlek wrote: Code: curl -G 'http://ip.of.your.lms:9000/plugins/LMSannounce/js.html' --data-urlencode "cmd=announcePlaylist" --data-urlencode "playerid=ma:ca:dd:re:ss:xx" --data-urlencode "playlist=SWR3" check the server log 'Various SW' (https://www.nexus0.net/pub/sw/): Web Interface | TUI | Playlist Editor / Generator | Music Classification | Similar Music | Announce | EventTrigger | DB Optimizer | Image Enhancer | Chiptunes | LMSlib2go | ... Not working (yet) i've created a playlist named SWR3, have this mac address: 14:18:77:66:28:84 which would be 14%3A18%3A77%3A66%3A28%3A84 and the curl string: curl -G 'http://ip:9000/plugins/LMSannounce/js.html' --data-urlencode "cmd=announcePlaylist" --data-urlencode "playerid=14%3A18%3A77%3A66%3A28%3A84" --data-urlencode "playlist=SWR3" gives back: {"msg":"OK","error":false} but the current stream doesn't change. I must say, that LMS is running as a docker container. But it is running in host mode, so the mac address of the host is used. mamema's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44662 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109096 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS Announce - play announcements / notifications
mamema wrote: > can tell me how this would be looking with my proposed config link? > How i will switch back would then be another issue which i perhaps could > fix without LMS announce You could try using LMS Event Trigger (haven't tested this myself) - create a playlist containing the radio station and a short dummy track (e.g. 2 secs silence) - create a script to be run by LMS Event Trigger which checks if the current track is the radio station and, if so, waits in the background for e.g. 5min and then sends a command to LMS to skip to the next track - configure LMS Event Trigger to run the script on a playlist newsong event - create a script to be run by e.g. cron to send a command to LMS Announce to play the playlist (as illustrated by karlek) 'Various SW' (https://www.nexus0.net/pub/sw/): Web Interface | TUI | Playlist Editor / Generator | Music Classification | Similar Music | Announce | EventTrigger | DB Optimizer | Image Enhancer | Chiptunes | LMSlib2go | ...
