I'm sorry, when you said "So, I guess what I am asking is how to search Playlists in Qobuz", I assumed your question was about searching playlists. Just so I've got your solution correct, you need to search the Qobuz app with a playlist name, not the playlist name followed by the username as listed by the Qobuz LMS plugin. So in your example, you need to search for "Late Night Jazz" and not "Late Night Jazz - cashofmoney"? Great, that's useful to know, although I think I might have seen that said before, can't think where. coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
As P-Kay says, by searching for "Late Night Jazz - cashofmoney" you are adding a username (cashofmoney) to the playlist name "Late Night Jazz" but the Qobuz search doesn't recognise the addition of a user name. You would need to search for "Late Night Jazz" and then in the playlists that are returned by that search choose the one created by cashofmoney. I don't think you can search at all by user name, so searching for "cashofmoney" wouldn't work. coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

In effect allowing you to control playback via LMS from native Android streamaing Apps. There version of Media server that I am running is: Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 0.141.20160820git1471509276 @ Sat Aug 20 08:28:28 BST 2016 coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The symptom is this: SrvrPowerCtrl will suspend the server, but then it wakes up again, usually within a minute. The SBTouch often seems to be responsible for this, but I think I've observed iPeng with the optional iPod/iPhone/iPad player do it too. Anyway, with the SBTouch, this is how I've worked around this problem. And please note: I don't know *why* this works...so I can't claim that this is anything more than a magical incantation *that works for me*...but here you have it: 1). Make sure you have only a single LMS running on your subnet. 2). Do a factory reset of the SBTouch. Go through the net setup and connect to your LMS. 3). Turn the SBTouch off using the remote. 4). Powercycle the SBTouch by unplugging then replugging the power supply. 5). Test SrvrPowerCtrl: go to Extras-Server Power Control-Suspend Server. By following these steps, I end up with settings for the SBTouch that allow the server to stay asleep. When the auto-wakeup from the Squeezebox happens, I find the following process clears it: 1) Use the SvrPowerControl to shutdown the SB server (not suspend) 2) Soft Power off the Squeezebox Touch 3) After a few minutes (at the same point at which the Touch would have woken up a suspended server) a message will appear on the Touch saying something along the lines of unable to connect 4) From that message choose the option to connect to the SB server (which will fail) My experience is that after following this process the auto-wakeup from the Touch stops happening until you do a hard power cycle of the Touch, at which point you have to follow the above process again. -- coyrls coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I think the best way for me to proced (with the understanding that my approach is trial and error) is to try to set up a crontab to suspend the server for six overnight periods per week leaving it one one night for my backups. I have tested using a BIOS setting to trigger waking up at the same time in the AM and that seems to work. In my experimenting thus far, I have not always been able to get the server to wake up via an alarm with the plug in. (The plug in is great. I'm likely doing something wrong.) However, the BIOS adjustment does work. Since I would have to use an alarm to trick the server into staying awake for one overnight period per week and the alarm does not always result in a wake up, I'm thinking the crontab approach might be the way to go for my one night a week scenario. I think I have the correct crontab syntax followed by the turn off command. What I don't know is what happens after I log in as root, trigger the nano text editor and get to the part where you can set up a crontab. Apparently, I need some text before my 30 0 * * 2-0 sequence. Can anyone offer a suggestion? I have posted a similar question on the Vortexbox forum but this location seems to have a wealth of Linux talent as well. Thanks. Thanks. I've replied to your crontab question in the vortexbox forum. If you want to use the -e form of the crontab command referred to by Gordon, it looks at the VISUAL and EDITOR environment variables to determine what editor to use, so you will either have to set and export these variables, or prefix crontab -e with VISUAL=nano EDITOR=nano, i.e.: # VISUAL=nano EDITOR=nano crontab -e -- coyrls coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

gharris999;627726 Wrote: This is a well known Touch/SqueezePlay problem and doesn't have anything to do with SrvrPowerCtrl. And it is precisely the problem that SrvrPowerCtrl's Suspend to mysb.com feature is designed to address. I've been seeing this problem ever since the 7.4x versions of SqueezePlay on the Touch and the Squeezebox Controller were released back in the Fall of 2009. Logitech apparently feels that there is nothing to be gained by encouraging users to sleep or suspend their servers when they aren't in use. Perhaps they feel that this will just increase support requests. But for whatever reason, Logitech's development effort to make the SqueezeBox line work and play well with aggressive energy saving servers pretty much dried up with the transition from SqueezeCenter to SqueezeboxServer. My suggestion is that you do use the 'Suspend to www.mysqueezebox.com' feature in SrvrPowerCtrl rather than just 'suspend'. That will keep the Touch happy and keep it from prematurely WOLing your server. You can also adjust SrvrPowerCtrl's settings to automatically fetch the touch back from mysb.com on server wakeup. If you'd rather not connect the Touch to mysb.com because of firmware upgrade shuffle annoyances, then I'd suggest that you buy a cheap SD card and install it on your Touch. That will have the effect of enabling tinysc, the embedded Squeezeboxserver on the Touch. You can then configure SrvrPowerCtrl to send the Touch to itself. Again, the Touch will remain happy and won't WOL your sleeping server. And again, SrvrPowerCtrl on your SBS server can be configured to automatically fetch the Touch back from itself on wake up. The only downside to this whole arrangement is that it makes it more difficult to wake the SBS server from the Touch when you want to. If that is a problem, then what I would unhesitatingly recommend is this: go out and purchase the cheapest Apple iPod Touch from eBay or wherever that you can find. Then purchase iPeng. iPeng can be relied on to WOL your server whenever you pull it up on the iPod Touch. When the server wakes up, then SrvrPowerCtrl can be relied on to fetch the Touch back from mysb.com or from tinysc. Thank you for your detailed reply. I was pretty certain that it wasn't a SrvrPowerCtrl problem as I could reproduce it with a manual hibernate without using SrvrPowerCtrl. I posted in this thread because I thought you (or others) may have known about the issue. I did post in the Touch Forum a few day ago (before I upgraded SrvrPowerCtrl) but got no replies. I prepared myself for a testing session today and began by shutting down the server and then when the Problem Connecting message came up I tried the option of reconnecting and trying an alternate library both of which obviously failed as the server was shutdown. I then restarted the server and hibernated and ... no message, no magic packet sent and no restart. I've tried various tests since and haven't ever got the message. I can only assume that trying to connect after getting the message and failing somehow cleared a status flag in the Touch. I will persist with my set-up as is, as it is how I want it to be but if it proves unreliable and the message returns I will take up one of your suggestions. It would be good to know what conditions cause the message to be issued so that I could prevent it happening, rather than mess about until it stops. I like your idea of a dummy local library for the Touch but as you say this will create problems getting the touch to send a magic packet to my original server. I did investigate what it would cost to get a cheap iPod Touch but in the UK even second hand early generation iPod Touches seem to me to be expensive. Thanks again for your help and if you have any idea what conditions might cause the Touch to issue the Problem Connecting message I'd be interested to know. -- coyrls coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
Im hoping that somebody can help me with a problem Im having. I had SvrPowerControl set up and running well. However I started having problems I think after a 7.5.3 firmware upgrade to my Touch. Now when I hibernate my server using SvrPowerControl the touch turns on about a minute or so later with the message Problem Connecting and gives me the choice of trying again, trying a different library or going to the home page. As it displays the message, it sends a magic packet which wakes up my server and when the SBS server is running the message disappears. I can also reproduce the problem if I power off my Touch and manually hibernate my server. As you can imagine, this behaviour means that I cant hibernate my server. I get the same message if I power off my server with SvrPowerControl but my server is not setup to wake on LAN after being shutdown. If I chose the option of going to the home page and power off my Touch after a server shutdown, the message does not reappear. I originally had this problem with an old version of SvrPowerControl (supplied with vortexbox) but have now updated to the latest version and still have the same problem. Im not keen to use the option of switching to mysqueezebox on hibernate or shutdown which may fix the problem (I havent tested it yet), after the recent problems with different versions of the server software causing upgrade/downgrade issues when switching. I would like to get it back to working as it did before. Any suggestions, please? -- coyrls coyrls's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44253 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
