Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I have spotty working fine on a Windows 2012 Server install (HP Microserver Gen 7 with 4GB RAM), Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - 1527493162 @ Mon May 28 10:08:13 WEDT 2018 Absolutely no issues until it stops working with this error on the screen: 25310 Window doesn't resize, here's the next part of the details section: 25311 Windows Application Event Log has this: 25312 Closing the error window and restarting LMS gets everything working again for days until it happens again. I first installed spotty on when I did some major maintenance on this system at the end of May, but it really didn't get used until I finished everything on June 23. Since then I've seen this error on June 26, July 9 and July 13. Each time the Exception code and Fault offset is the same if that means anything. I set spotty logging to Info, stopped LMS, renamed the server log and restarted LMS. Maybe that will provide more info should it happen again. Thank you Michael for all your work to keep LMS viable; I can't imagine any other music management application that would work as well as it does. +---+ |Filename: Spottycrash3.PNG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=25312| +---+ Home: Win7Pro(x64)[3.3Ghz i5, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD system, 15TB storage], LMS 7.9.0 -> Logitech Squeezebox Classic V.3 -> Cambridge Audio DacMagic -> NAD C160 -> 2 x NAD C272 -> Quad 22L2 Portable: FreeNAS 9.3 [HP Microserver Gen8, 10GB RAM, 16GB flash boot, 120GB SSD for LMS 7.9.0 in FreeBSD jail, 5 x 4TB WD Red HD ZFS RAIDZ1] -> Logitech Squeezebox Classic V.3 -> Cambridge Audio DacMagic: XLR out -> Soundmaster Diamond 12-2 mixing board -> P.A. get.amped's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10022 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I don't have tcutting's repository added. If I stop LMS, copy the SuperDateTime directory to the InstalledPlugins\Plugins directory and start LMS, the plugin is active and my previous preferences are active. If I then go to the Plugins tab I get the "Changes will take place at the next application restart. Please click here to restart the server now" message with the buttons to Restart now or Restart later. I can choose to Restart later and everything is fine until I restart LMS for any reason. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Is there some trick to keep LMS from detecting that there's an update to SDT? I have been installing BoomX2's version manually, but I constantly have a notification that there is an update and, when I actually apply updates for other plugins, the manually installed SDT gets removed. Not a big deal to manually install it again, so it's not a show stopper but it is annoying. If there's a fix I'd like to apply it. I've been using the BoomX2 version for quite a while now (thanks so much for that!). The only weird issue is that any time I restart LMS, the plugin gets removed. So I stop LMS, copy it back into the correct directory, start LMS and it works again (and still has all the settings for each player), but then I continuously get prompted to restart LMS if I bring up the Plugins tab. Just installed the latest 7.9 nightly and modified plugin.pm to include the following: { id = 'SmartMix', name = 'Smart Mix selection', sql = qq{ INSERT OR IGNORE INTO library_track (library, track) SELECT '%s', tr.id FROM tracks tr, genres g, genre_track gt WHERE tr.content_type = 'flc' AND tr.id = gt.track AND g.id = gt.genre AND g.namesort in ('INDIE','ALTERNATIVE ROCK','ROCK','GRUNGE','SOUL','FUNK') } Which results in 99,058 tracks. Set the plugin to use it, goes through the rescan and completes remarkably fast (Smart Mix Profile export only took 05:48). Built-in mixes seem to work well. Blender comes up and lets me configure a custom mix. I can see that this will be fun to play with and I can always create other library views and use them since the rescan time to export the profile is so quick. So, many thanks Michael! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SmartMix 1.6: support for mobile browsers LMS 7.9 library views
Just in case anyone else with a ginormous collection is interested in creating a sub 100K, genre-based library view, SQLite Expert Personal is a very useful query tool: http://www.sqliteexpert.com/download.html Just make a copy of library.db and open it in SQLite Expert. This query will give you a list of the number of FLAC tracks for each genre (leave out the tr.content_type = 'flc' and part for all file types or use your preferred type): select g.namesort, count(tr.id) from tracks tr, genres g, genre_track gt where tr.content_type = 'flc' and tr.id = gt.track and g.id = gt.genre group by g.namesort order by g.namesort You can then copy and paste the results into a spreadsheet and play with combinations of genres until you have the one that works best for you. My spreadsheet has the genre in column a, the count in column b, column c is blank and this formula entered into the first row of data (starting on row 6) in column d: =if(c6 ,b6,0) and copied to all the subsequent rows. I freeze the top row so it doesn't scroll and enter this formula into B1: =sum(D6:D150) Then I can put an x in column c to select genres and get the total of my selections at the top of the sheet. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
It doesn't look like Greg has been here since 2013-05-17 19:25 based on his profile info. In order to make the new versions available through the normal LMS settings plugin web interface another repository site would need to be established. From what I can see here: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeCenter_Repositories_Developers all that's required is the .xml file, the .zip file and the sha1 hash file on a publicly accessible web host. Or am I missing something? If it's just a matter of providing the hosting, I can do that. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
So far the latest BoomX2 version is working well. The only changes I'd like to make are to include a %RH string after the humidity display (currently just has a number) and a % after the chance of precipitation display (also just has a number). Obviously these are just cosmetic niceties, but it seems like it shouldn't be too hard to do if I can find the appropriate code section. It appears that most of this formatting takes place starting on line 2766 (sub replaceMacros {), but I'm not quite done reading through the code. I don't specifically code in Perl but I've done enough other coding to at least get a sense of what is going on. So, am I on the right track or do I need to look elsewhere? I'm not sure about your setup, but if you didn't want to mess with the code you should be able add the %RH and % to the display using the player settings page. EDIT: To add '% RH' to your display using player settings, leave a space between the % symbol and RH. Otherwise it will translate %R to wunderground rounded temp C. I wondered whether adding the % in the player settings could cause issues unless there was a way to escape it out. I'll try the player settings first and see how that looks and then decide if I want to mess with the code. Thanks! A considerable improvement! Thanks so much for the work. Just to give you some feedback, here's how it works on older SB devices. On my Classic and Boom I have the same settings: Icon: On 3-Line: Off Line 1: %e %H %j Line 2: %y %v The devices display: [temp] [hum] [wind] [cloud icon] [current day of week] [one word forecast] The first line periodically changes, so I know it's getting updates. The second line does not change. Not sure what will be necessary to get it to cycle through current and future forecasts. I'm guessing on the Touch it shows all of them on the screen at the same time. I have switched the line 1 and line 2 parameters and the only difference is the positioning and font size (line one font is smaller than line 2). And I can't pause/stop in the web UI; I have to go to my local library and play something else. end of spotifyd.log: Code: [11:31:03.082] main:567 new connection [11:31:03.082] main:619 req: status.json res: (null) par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:31:03.082] process_status:1451 process status [11:32:03.977] main:448 C:\PROGRA~3\SQUEEZ~1\Cache\INSTAL~1\Plugins\Spotify\Bin\MSWIN3~1\spotifyd.exe 2.3.4 started ( libspotify: 12.1.51.g86c92b43 Release win32 ) [11:32:03.977] main:478 Config: username: * cachedir: C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\spotifycache bitrate: 320 volnorm: 0 httpport: 9005 cliport: 9090 cacheaudio: 1 [11:32:03.992] main:567 new connection [11:32:03.992] main:619 req: status.json res: (null) par: login prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:03.992] main:702 relogging in as user: * [11:32:03.992] logged_in:54 logged in [11:32:03.992] credentials_blob_updated:119 credentials blob updated [11:32:04.008] log_message:81 log: 15:32:04.008 E [c:/Users/spotify-buildagent/BuildAgent/work/1e0ce8a77adfb2dc/client/core/network/proxy_resolver_win32.cpp:215] WinHttpGetProxyForUrl failed [11:32:04.055] log_message:81 log: 15:32:04.055 I [ap:1752] Connecting to AP ap.gslb.spotify.com:4070 [11:32:04.117] log_message:81 log: 15:32:04.117 I [ap:1226] Connected to AP: 193.235.32.115:4070 [11:32:05.022] process_status:1451 process status [11:32:05.053] log_message:81 log: 15:32:05.053 I [offline-mgr:2084] Storage has been cleaned [11:32:05.084] credentials_blob_updated:119 credentials blob updated [11:32:05.084] metadata_updated:86 new meta [11:32:06.313] metadata_updated:86 new meta [11:32:06.391] metadata_updated:86 new meta [11:32:06.469] metadata_updated:86 new meta [11:32:15.096] log_message:81 log: 15:32:15.096 I [offline-mgr:2032] 0 files are locked. 0 images are locked [11:32:15.096] log_message:81 log: 15:32:15.096 I [offline-mgr:2058] 0 files unlocked. 0 images unlocked [11:32:30.697] main:567 new connection [11:32:30.713] main:619 req: search.json res: (null) par: o=0alq=40q=tag:new prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:30.713] main:1150 search: tag:new offset: 0 artist count: 0 album count: 40 track count: 0 [11:32:30.791] search_callback:716 search: ok [11:32:35.414] main:567 new connection [11:32:35.416] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:album:6JdSCUch3Ic4oCV6lj9GeG par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:35.416] main:1054 created album browse [11:32:35.449] browse_album_callback:597 browse album: ok [11:32:35.451] metadata_updated:86 new meta [11:32:35.474] main:567 new connection [11:32:35.506] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:track:4z8Ll8nU1jMqB8HvKTyLP1 par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:35.506] main:1078 queuing track browse [11:32:35.506] process_track:1401 process track [11:32:35.506] process_track:1425 browse track: ok [11:32:35.506] main:567 new connection [11:32:35.506] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:track:0eRzcqXn5dLNa5zOXZySMw par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:35.506] main:1078 queuing track browse [11:32:35.506] process_track:1401 process track [11:32:35.506] process_track:1425 browse track: ok [11:32:38.691] main:567 new connection [11:32:38.691] main:619 req: cover.jpg res: spotify:image:bd97d6a46180f1a2e88679170a5dd190cf6764fc par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:38.693] write_cover:123 cover fetch: No error [11:32:38.701] main:567 new connection [11:32:38.733] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:track:2VPjeDCsNEyoUXbEwphx1K par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:38.733] main:1078 queuing track browse [11:32:38.733] process_track:1401 process track [11:32:38.733] process_track:1425 browse track: ok [11:32:38.733] main:567 new connection [11:32:38.733] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:track:52dlnJj2OE27ZvfpyvXD3t par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:38.733] main:1078 queuing track browse [11:32:38.733] process_track:1401 process track [11:32:38.733] process_track:1425 browse track: ok [11:32:38.733] main:567 new connection [11:32:38.736] main:619 req: browse.json res: spotify:track:0PewHsjIkGgvNVrzOd5U1E par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [11:32:38.736] main:1078 queuing track browse [11:32:38.736] process_track:1401 process track [11:32:38.736] process_track:1425 browse track: ok [11:32:38.836] main:567 new connection [11:32:38.836] main:619 req: cover.jpg res: spotify:image:bd97d6a46180f1a2e88679170a5dd190cf6764fc par: (null) prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null)
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Soundcloud plugin for squeezeserver
I just tried adding the Soundcloud plugin to a 7.9.0 - 1408690240 @ Tue Aug 26 04:04:37 CUT 2014 install. It doesn't seem to actually install (it's not in the Active plugins), it's not in the Inactive or 3rd party plugins lists, but it is at the top in the Updated plugins available list. Clicking the checkbox and Apply followed by restarting LMS doesn't change it's status. So I can't use it or uninstall it or update it. Any thoughts / suggestions? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Best android Squeezebox control app?
Orange Squeeze works well for me on both my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and Nexus 7 tablet. Well worth the cost of the app. I also use Squeezeplayer on those devices to use them as players. The two apps work well together since Orange Squeeze has direct support for Squeezeplayer within the app. I haven't done a direct comparison with the Logitech provided app but performance has been good with almost immediate response displaying the list as it continues to load and cache entries in the background. And my library is considerably larger than yours although on much more powerful hardware. audiomuze wrote: +1000 If this could be done in some way it'd be fantastic. It'd also be great to be able to embed similar artist information in LMS (using MAI echonest?) as a source. I see two complementary ways of this working: Where MAI is concerned if a user happens to go to similar artists when exploring an artist a similar artists DB is updated in the background with a view to having a similar artist scan run at a later time at the user's initiation. This scan links the artists to one another so that you can in future click through any similar artist entry and browse what's in your library much like you can click through any artist name at present. Secondly, echonest could be queried to obtain it's similar artists listing for all artists in your DB, then the similar artists scan that does the linking is run, again at the user's initiation. The Related artists info is already linked in a DB, but the DB is at Allmusic.com, so the lists of similar, influenced by and followed are coming from there. Not sure that there's any need to embed additional information in the LMS DB in order to use it as a launching point. Really just needs a way to browse to those artists' entries in the existing DB with the resulting display nested under the current MAI display to maintain context. get.amped's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10022 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music Artist Information plugin
Great plugin. Provides endless opportunities to explore, particularly using the Related artists portion. The only thing I wish I could do from those screens would be to directly search my library for the artist in the list, maybe by clicking on an icon next to the name. For example, I'm listening to the new Michael Bloomfield box set and I see that Lonnie Brooks is a similar artist. I can click on him and continue to look for other related artists, but nothing ever ties any of them back to what I have available to listen to. Right now I enter the similar artist name in the Search field, but then I lose the context of looking at artists similar to Michael Bloomfield. Not sure if I explained that too well. Anyway, thanks for the fine work. It's always interesting to see who influenced whom and the other connections. get.amped's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10022 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
I recently had to update from SBS 7.5.6 because I had crossed some threshold and the scanner would throw an exception while processing Merge Various Artist and leave me with an incomplete/inconsistent database. The real reason I stayed with that version for so long was the Fishbone web interface and I was not looking forward to living with the Default skin in LMS. I am definitely enjoying your plugin. I like having all the additional artist/album/track info easily available and find the performance quite acceptable on my system. A few observations: 1) I finally found the New Music selection in the Search bar. I expected to find it in Music Library as that is where it is in the Default interface. Now that I know it's there, no issues, but I originally thought it simply wasn't implemented. 2) I accidentally clicked on one of the Column headings in New Music and can't see any way to restore the original order. Usually I just want to see them in the order they were added to the library. I do like being able to use the slider to specify how many to retrieve. But I was surprised that it limited me to 300 since the New Music Limit in my server preferences is set to 1000. The max of 300 came back almost immediately. 3) I know you have specifically not been implementing support for other 3rd party plugins, but if you do  I'd like to have access to erland's song lyrics. Almost none of my files are tagged with lyrics but that plugin is pretty good at finding them, at least for better known songs. 4) After reading through the whole thread, I know how to manage the playlist, but I find the drag and drop approach to be less accessible than the control buttons that appear when hovering over a selection in the Default interface. Overall very nice work and I look forward to seeing where you take this project. get.amped's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10022 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98186 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
