Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
And some more information. I just installed 7.8 (1487060116 @ Sat Feb 18 03:04:41 CUT 2017), and dynamic playlists correctly appears under the M mixer icon in the WebUI for the Playlist menu. So it appears it's something in 7.9 that breaks this behavior of Erland's plugins. wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Your attached image is what the WebUI looked like for me in 7.7: Several different "mixer" icons that kick off different things like Dynamic Playlists, TrackStat, SQLPlaylists, etc. But in 7.9, all I see is a single M icon, which when you click on it brings you to a page with all of these options. I understood from comments on the Forum that this was the normal behavior for 7.9. My problem is that Dynamic Playlists isn't showing up on that list when you click on the M icon for the playlists in the Playlist menu. Also, please note, I'm talking about the built-in menu at the top level, not the one under the Custom Browse. (well see my post above: the Custom Browse Playlist menu can be elevated to the top level. Either way, the CB version does have the Dynamic Playlists item in the Mixer context menu on the WebUI, but not on Touch, Controller, or iPeng.) esa wrote: > > But, you have a menu "Dynamic PLaylist" where you can launch a playlist > as Dynamic : > > Dynamic Playlist --> DynamicPLaylistFavourite (maybe this menu should be > enable in SQL PLaylist setting) --> Random Song From Playlist > Through this menu, you can press play. By having Dynamic Playlist in the mixer context menu you can fire it for whatever playlist you navigate to. Again, this has worked fine through LMS 7.7, so something has changed going to 7.9. wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
After some additional investigating, I can add some more information: 1) I discovered that if I make a Playlist Menu via Custom Browse, that it does have Dynamic Playlists as a selection on the mixer menu. 2) But, only on the WebUI, or an sb3 via IR remote, but not on the Controller (controlling an sb3), a Touch via its touch screen, or iPeng (controlling an sb3) So it seems like maybe somewhere between LMS 7.7 to LMS 7.9.0 something broke how Erland's plugins get things added to mixers on the playlist menu? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
[I posted this directly in the 3rd Party Software forum, but am replying to Erland's thread as well (with slightly more detail), in case anyone is only looking at this thread.] I just updated from 7.5 which has been running on my system for several years without a hitch. I use a combination of Erland's Custom Browse, Dynamic Playlists, and SQLplaylists. I used to be able to navigate to playlists under My Music, sit on a playlist, and in the web interface click on a icon that would allow me to choose play random songs from the playlist (in a Dynamic Playlist fashion: add 10 random songs at a time, instead of shuffling the whole list). From a controller, I would long hold the center button and get the context menu with the choice to play random songs from the playlist. After updating LMS to 7.9 and upgrading Erland's plugins to their latest versions, that behavior is missing. The icons in the web interface are replaced with a single M, which I understand is an aspect of the upgrade. Pressing it when sitting on a playlist brings up a context menu, but it doesn't contain the random songs item. The only thing it has is "playlist info". As far as I can tell all my other Dynamic Playlists correctly show up in Context menus where they should. For example, a random songs from genre appears under the Dynamic Playlists item in the mixer when I long-hold on a genre. (It looks like this functionality is now provided by a built-in mixer, as there are two new entries now: "Random Mix Genre Songs" and "Random Mix Genre Albums". But the fact remains that the mixer also includes a dynamic playlists item which in turn contains the appropriate dynamic playlists I created. Whereas, there is no such mixer item when sitting on a playlist.) It seems like most, if not all, of my preferences, settings, and plugin settings were preserved on the upgrade. But it's possible that some dynamic playlist or SQLplaylist or Custom Browse configurations didn't make it. Did something about mixers change in going from 7.5 to 7.9? I can't really remember how to recreate this behavior with Erland's plugins (it's been a long time since I set them up, and they've been working smoothly since), so I'm not even sure where to look. I don't see any errors in the server log file. Is there any additional logging I could turn on (perhaps specific to Dynamic Playlists)? I can describe the behavior a bit more: I made a playlist with one album from my library and one album from Rhapsody. Standing on the playlist and hitting the play icon in the web interface plays all the songs from the playlist just fine, shuffle properly shuffles them. If instead I select the PL icon and select "Random Songs from playlist" then only the songs from my library are queued up. I'll also note that after starting playback, the lefthand panel shows the contents of the Dynamic Playlists menu. I I do the same for a playlist with only Rhapsody content, then the current playing track is stopped, but the current playlist is untouched, and the the lefthand panel shows the contents of the Dynamic Playlists menu, just as above. Seems like the random playlist is doing something, but just isn't playing the Rhapsody tracks. -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94360 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists not working from Controller
Hi, I've been using erland's SQL and Dynamic Playlists plugins for some time with my SB3. I created some playlists that play random songs from Genres or other playlists. Before SBS 7.5 I could "stand on" a genre or a playlist, press and hold play to bring up a context menu from which I could choose "play random songs" (this is using the IR remote with the SB3 -- I can't remember how it worked on the controller, or even if it did work). Now with SBS 7.5 I get an error when I do this, either with the IR remote or the controller. I get an error message like "No songs, no songs for Random". However, I can still use the web interface, by clicking on the Dynamic Playlists icon when standing on a genre or a playlist. Any idea what might be broken or how to fix it? I thought maybe there might be a newer version of the plugins, but I appear to be up-to-date, according to the Plugins tab of the Settings page. Another thought is that I might need to recreate the playlists in SQL/Dynamic Playlists using updated templates? Thought I'd get some feedback before I try that. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Browse by Music Folder and erland's plugins
Lately I've noticed that when I Browse by Music Folder (from webUI, squeezebox, or controller) that SC locks up for a variable amount of time -- sometimes just 5-10s, sometimes 40-60s, and sometimes even longer. I've noticed that mysqld gets kicked off and uses a fair bit of CPU during this time. I use many of Erland's plugins (CB, Custom Scan, SQL, Dynamic Playlist, Trackstat, Trackstat Playlist, Custom Skip, Multi Library) and I recently updated a number of them, so I wondered if they might be source of the delay. I tried testing by disabling all of Erland's plugins and then adding them in one at a time (stoping and restarting SC each time) and timing Browse by Folder. It is a little tricky because whatever is getting scanned in is being stored somewhere so that there is a delay only the first time you browse to a folder (except that this must get "forgotten" on the timescale of a day, because I discovered this problem when I navigate to the same folder every couple of days.) Because of this, during testing I navigated to 3 or 4 different, new folders each time. I found that SC alone is quite snappy, less than 5 s for each folder. Adding SQL, ML, and CB produced just a slightly longer delay, maybe as much as 10s. Adding Custom Scan produced a range of longer delays, from 30 s to as much as 3 mins! (Although some folders scanned in just 5 s -- and the delay doesn't seem to be proportional to the number of sub-folders or files.) Under the Custom Scan settings I set Custom Tag and Mixed Tag scanning to manual, which improved the delay times. Adding Track Stat and Track Stat Playlist (alone or with Custom Scan) also yielded moderate delays. So the culprit seems to be something to do with Custom Scan and possibly Track Stat. Does anyone know whether it is typical for there to be a short delay when browsing by Music Folder, should mysqld be running, and whether the delays I'm experiencing are abnormal? Any ideas why Custom Scan might be making these delays longer, and is there anything I can do about it? Any insight would be appreciated. For example, I have the Classical top genre and several subgenres such as Baroque, Romantic, 20th Century (these are all tagged using a semicolon delimited list in the genre tag.) This makes browsing genres much easier -- the top level is not burdened with an enormous list of genres, but I can have the fine divisions of many subgenres. This feature alone makes CB invaluable to me, and I really hope SC will adopt something similar with the new schema. I use CB/CS to browse non-standard tags, such as composer, and custom user tags. For example, I use the TIT2 field (iTunes Group) to hold different forms, such as symphony or string quartet (for classical) or piano trio, large band (for jazz). CB allows me to create a menu to browse these tags. Similarly, I use CB to browse selected music based on the existence of a keyword in a tag such as COMMENT. As others have mentioned, this can be used to select out music my wife likes, or holiday music, or stuff that I've added recently. Together with the multi-library plugin, CB can be used to design menus specific to portions of your music. I have one for classical and another for everything else. (Many people use libraries to separate different user's music, and there has been talk of SC eventually providing tools for multiple users. I hope as they work on this they provide a way to have multiple users but also allow each user to have multiple libraries. I as a single user have a lot of uses for splitting my music into different libraries for my own listening.) CB, along with Custom Scan and SQLplaylist and Trackstat really make SC work for me. It would be much more difficult to find and select music from my library using the standard SC menus. I really, really, really hope that when SC8.0 comes out that that doesn't spell the end of all these extremely useful tools. Just as bad would be a partial adoption by SC of some of CB and a long delay before plugins get developed to reimplement the rest of the features (understanding that erland develops this stuff for free and he may not be up for a major overhaul like this.) -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58894 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

J River acknowledges this since their latest release makes this shift, although at the moment their (free) jukebox software still uses the COMMENT tag. Also, I > used the Custom Scan Info menu to see what tags got scanned and this > tag didn't show up (although others, such as CONTENTGROUP and COMMENT > do show up.) > OK, I think I see the problem. Since JRMC puts all its user created tags into comments and not individually named tags, they all appear in Custom Scan in the COMMENT tag. Since I have lots of other stuff in Comment fields, this precludes using JRMC to create multi-valued "tags". For example, I am trying to create a "Form" tag for use with classical music, with items like "symphony", "string quartet", etc. Am I correct that I could use Custom Scan/Custom Browse to *filter* on a keyword in the comment field (eg. put "Symphony" in the comment field and create a menu that only contains songs/artists/albums tagged with Symphony), but I can't create a menu having several options below it, eg "symphony", "string quartet"? (I can do the later with the CONTENTGROUP tag because Custom Scan simply creates a menu with options corresponding to all the values it finds in the CONTENTGROUP tag -- can't do this with the COMMENT field if it's full of other stuff.) The recently released JRMC13 puts user created fields in Txxx fields rather than COMMENT fields. Would those "tags" be read individually by SC/Custom Scan, rather than what appears to be happening with the COMMENT "tags"? -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57894 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Using Custom Scan to read JRMC tags
I'm trying to use Custom Scan+Custom Browse to browse by a tag I created in J River Media Center. The name of user created tags in JRMC is in the form: COMMENT MEDIA JUKEBOX: . In my case the tag is called COMMENT MEDIA JUKEBOX: FORM. I've verified that mp3tag can read these tags with that name. In Custom Scan settings I put this name in the "tags to scan" field (and in the "single value" field.) After doing a "clear and rescan" it seems the tag hasn't been scanned. I have a Custom Browse menu to browse by this tag and it says there are no matching files. Also, I used the Custom Scan Info menu to see what tags got scanned and this tag didn't show up (although others, such as CONTENTGROUP and COMMENT do show up.) Am I doing something wrong, or is there something about the JRMC tags that conflict with Custom Scan? I've only tested it for 5 mins, but the rating playlists appear to be generated correctly, and can be easily read by JRMC to update its ratings. I've used both the WebUI and the controller to change (and store) ratings successfully. Looks like it solves rating integration with JRMC. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat and export to J River Media Center
Hi, I know Trackstat can export the ratings data and that these can currently be imported into several media players, eg. iTunes, MusicIP, but I haven't seen a solution for importing/exporting to J River Media center, which I know several folks here use. In part, I suspect, this is because J River doesn't appear to have an easy-to-implement way to import a single field, such as rating, into its database. MeSue has outlined a method she uses to sync ratings between SC and J River: she uses the Playlist Manager plugin to add songs to specific ratings playlists when she wants to change their ratings (eg, add a 4-star song to the 4-star playlist.) These playlists can be easily imported into J River where they can be mass re-tagged with the proper rating. (Transferring rating info from J River to SC can be accomplished by putting the ratings in tags and importing them using the Ratings Scan provided by Custom Scan/Trackstat.) I wondered if Trackstat's export data could be used to streamline this process. One drawback of this method is that you can't use the nice UI for rating songs -- eg clicking on the stars that appear on the controller or the WebUI. So I'm looking for a way to use Trackstat to collect info that can be imported to J River. The easiest thing would be if Trackstat kept track of songs that have had their ratings changed. If so, this list could be grouped by rating and written to a playlist (I imagine this could be done fairly easily with some perl code.) Before I go poking around at the files, I thought I'd ask here about the feasibility of this approach. I fear that Trackstat doesn't keep track of changed files -- why should it really? In that case, can anyone suggest an alternate approach? Would it be possible for a plugin to intercept the user clicks on the rating stars and add that song to a playlist? -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57650 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I've been slowly working out how Squeezecenter handles compilation albums. In the settings, I set "group compilations together", "list albums by band", "TPE2 = band", and set compilation title to "compilations" (instead of the default "various artists") (these descriptions are from memory). When I browse to Genres and select a genre I get a list of matching artists, with "Compilations" at the top. The artist list does not contain artists that only appear on compilations -- This is the behavior I expect from my settings. However, when I browse using Custom Browse Genres/subGenres I get a long list of artists, presumably all those artists from the compilations. Also, I don't think there's even a compilations item at the top either. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the expected behavior from the Custom Browse Genres/subgenres menu? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists: random playlists
Hi, I love how Dynamic Playlists creates just a small playlist that is continuously updated. This is big improvement over the standard behavior if you have lots of songs to be included in the playlist. I have some static playlists, often with lots of tracks, that I'd like to play via Dynamic Playlists. However, I'd also like to select songs randomly from these static playlists. Selecting Shuffle|song doesn't work since that just shuffles the songs in the Now Playing list and doesn't influence what songs DP pulls from the playlist. I don't want to just shuffle the static playlist because then I'll get the same "random" sequence of songs every time I play the playlist. I tried to use SQLplaylist to create a random songs playlist, but it doesn't seem possible to limit the action of SQLplaylist to a static playlist (which I can understand, since that's basically defeating the purpose of SQLplaylist). So, is it possible to do what I want? However, a list of "most played" or "highest rated" could be very cool and useful. Maybe limited to just top 5-10 so they only take up a line or two on the page (one of the things the bugs me about the current design is that the album and artist list takes up so much space that you have to scroll down in the web page to see much of the desired list of matching artists.) So for example the "albumheader/Genre" item has the object type > "albumheader". > OK, I'm getting lost in the huge number of menus/files. Let's take an example: The Genre/subgenre custom menu. I think the code for this menu is in "subgenres.template", right? The behavior of the G/subG menu is that after selecting a subgenre you get a list of matching artists, proceeded by a header block that includes a list of albums and artists among other info. The crumbtrail at the top shows "Genres/Subgenres / Artists/Genres". So which "object type" puts a header here? Is this an artistheader, an albumheader, or a genreheader? I tried editing from Custom Browse the artistheadergenre context menu (by excluding all libraries to see if it would go away), but it didn't change the behaviour of the G/subG menu. Can I tell by inspecting the subgenres.template file which header context menu will be used with the menu? Suppose I wanted to change the header on all pages that display artist info (artist pages?), is there a single artistheader file that does this, or are there different artistheader files depending on how the artist page is reached, for example by browsing thru genres vs. browsing by year or by artist directly? > > In the XML configuration the object type parameter will be put in the > menugroup element, for example "albumheader" > Is this the XML configuration of the Custom Browse menu or of the context header? In the case of the Genre/SubGenre menu, suppose I wanted to get rid of the list of artists in the header. I'm assuming that that information is added by just a line or two, but what file would I need to edit? The Genre/SubGenre file (subgenres.template?) or the header file? (supposing that artistheader is the right one to be looking at, this would be what file? "genreartist.template" in the custombrowse\contexttemplates directory?) Feel free to tell me that I need to go learn XML on my own and to stop bugging you. BTW, why did you design the custom browse artist headers to include a list of albums and artists? It seems redundant (since the list of matching artists follows) and takes up space. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse and headers
Hi, Many of the Custom Browse menus(for example the Genre/sub Genre menu) have a "header" that includes information about the items returned, including Duration, File size, and a list of Albums and Artists. Is this block of info being generated by the headers accessed by the "Edit Context menus/headers/footers" link on the settings page? I'm trying to figure out how to change which info is displayed at the top of the menus. If it is in these context/header files, how can I tell which one is being called by the particular menu I'm working with? I couldn't see anything obvious in the code for the menus, but then I don't know how to code xml. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems downloading latest Custom Scan menus
Hi, I tried downloading the latest existing menus from the Custom Browse menu and was unable to download some of the files (I'm particularly after Custom Tags Albums: customscan_customtagalbums.) The message in slimserver said that the menu could not be downloaded because a newer version of the plugin was required. However, I believe I am using the latest versions: Custom Browse 1.23, Custom Scan 1.20, and Multi Library 1.5.1. Also, I'm trying to use Custom Scan/Browse to create a Browse menu that searches the "Grouping" tag that iTunes uses. I thought this was called GROUP, but when I used that name in the Custom Scan module I did not get any of the tag information. Anyone know what the proper name is? Thanks! Is it possible to change the sorting options? Currently the Custom Browse version can sort by year or title. It would be nice to sort the list by artist (or even "artist, album", or "artist, year, album" as the standard "All Albums" page does.) -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37181 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse behavior with multiple genres
Hi, How does Custom Browse, and in particular the Genre/ Sub Genre menu, deal with tracks with more than two genre tags? I tag my classical tracks using multiple values in the GENRE tag: Classical, plus one of: Baroque Romantic 20th Century ... plus one of: symphony string quartet concerto ... An individual track might be tagged "GENRE=classical; Romantic; Symphony", while another might be "GENRE=classical; 20th Century; Symphony". When I use the Genre/ Sub Genre menu and select the classical genre, I get a list of sub-genres that inclues Baroque, Romantic, 20th Centry, etc. and symphony, string quartet, etc. Selecting Romantic presents me with a list of sub-genres consisting of symphony, string quartet, concerto, etc., as well as a complete list of artists. Naively, I thought that drilling down into symphony would list all tracks with the romantic and the symphony tags. Instead I get an error: Error: Running: select genres.id,concat(genres.name,'/'),substr(genres.namesort,1,1) from genres,genre_track,tracks where tracks.id = genre_track.track and genres.id = genre_track.genre and genres.id != 11 and genres.id != 47 and genres.id != 14 and exists(select * from genre_track where genre_track.track=tracks.id and genre_track.genre=11) and exists(select * from genre_track where genre_track.track=tracks.id and genre_track.genre=47) exists(select * from genre_track where genre_track.track=tracks.id and genre_track.genre=14) group by genres.id order by genres.namesort asc got error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'exists(select * from genre_track where genre_track.track=trac' at line 17 Interestingly, it works they way I expect using the remote with my squeezebox. -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37209 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse genre/sub genre menu behavior
Hi, I've noticed a small difference between the behavior of the standard Slim Browse Genre menu and the Custom Browse Genre/ Sub Genre menu. In the standard menus, after selecting a genre the first item in the list it returns is "All Albums". clicking this leads you to a page called "Genre Gallery", which has the nice feature that you can browse by album art. On the other hand, when you select a genre from the Custom Browse Genre/ Sub Genre menu the first item is "All Songs" and you can not select this for further browsing. Is it possible to alter the behavior of the Custom Browse menu to include the "All Albums" item that is linked to the Genre Gallery? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Browse plugin
Hi, Does anyone know whether the Group field available in iTunes could be read by custom scanner (and so used in Custom Browse menus)? I've been using foobar and mp3tag to examine some files created by iTunes that have entries in the group field, but they don't show up as a tag. Maybe the group info is in the iTunes .xml library instead? Does this info still get scanned by custom scan? -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27043 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I redid my menus with the new template and they work great! I have another, possibly off-the-wall question. iTunes allows you to place playlists into folders. (I brought this up in an earlier post: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24578&referrerid=5886) This is very convenient because you can group similar playlists together and makes browsing long lists of playlists easier. Currently, slimserver doesn't display playlists this way. We're fortunate that it does display all the playlists, but in one long list, instead of in folders. Would it be possible to use custom browse to display iTunes playlists the way they were intended? I really have no idea how these things are managed so I have no idea if this is possible at all. -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27043 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Browse plugin
Hi, I made a number of custum browse menu items based on the Filtered Album custom browse example, filtering on a term in the comment field. The menu items return a properly filtered list of albums, but when I chose "sort by artist" from the pull-down menu I get the following error: Error: Running: select albums.id,concat(albums.title, ' (', contributors.name ,')') from tracks,albums,contributor_track,contributors,comments where tracks.id=contributor_track.track and contributor_track.role in (1,5) and contributor_track.contributor=contributors.id and and tracks.id=comments.track and comments.value='female' and albums.id=tracks.album group by albums.id order by contributors.namesort asc, albums.year desc got error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'and tracks.id=comments.track and comments.value='female' and albums.' at line 6 What am I doing wrong? Any way to make it sort by artist by default? Also, on the options page for these menus I made there is a check box called "check include comment for sub strings" What does this do? On another note: I've followed the discussion here recently how to use the Genre/sub genre example to browse thru sub-genres. Do I understand correctly that to implement this you would list multiple stings separated by ";" in the genre tag field? Could I instead implement a similar thing but based on multiple strings in the Comment tag? I use iTunes which doesn't allow multiple genres, but does allow access to the comment field. Finally, how does the genre/sub-genre browse look? Suppose I browse to genre=jazz, do I get a list of available sub-genres as well as all the albums (or artists) that belong to the genre jazz? Or do I only get the sub-genres, forcing me to pick one before I see a list of albums? (I can't test since I don't have multiple entries in my genre tags!) What I'd like to be able to do is browse to a top level genre and get all the albums (or artists) that match, but be able to further browse to sub-genres to narrow the list if I wish. Thanks. I already love Custom Browse, just with what little I've been able to do so far! -Steve -- wnshall wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27043 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
