CVSROOT:/cvs Module name:ports Changes by: jer...@cvs.openbsd.org 2010/11/08 16:20:43 Modified files: lang/ruby : ruby.port.mk Log message: Major changes to allow the same port directory to build ports for both ruby 1.8, ruby 1.9, and jruby. One major change for all ports is that RDoc documentation is no longer going to be installed by default for gem ports. For ruby 1.8, it used a separate documentation file per method, and the file names created weren't consistent across ruby versions (1.8.6 differed from 1.8.7, and 1.8.7 differs from 1.9.2 and jruby). It made reviewing diffs very painful, and since most ruby developers do not use the documentation (preferring web documentation), it doesn't make sense to include them. For most gem ports, a ruby 1.9 version can be built by using the ruby19 FLAVOR, and a jruby version can be build using the jruby FLAVOR. These flavors modify the FULLPKGNAME to use either the ruby19- or jruby- package stem, so you don't need to worry about the ruby 1.8 package conflicting. In most cases, you no longer need the PKGNAME set in the port Makefile, as the FULLPKGNAME handling will take care of that for you. Also, for pure ruby gems (without C extensions), PKG_ARCH = * is added automatically. Changes to all dependent ports will be committed shortly. For new ruby ports, you need to make sure that gem dependencies are specified like this (assuming they depend on the hoe gem): :${MODRUBY_PKG_PREFIX}-hoe-*:devel/ruby-hoe,${FLAVOR} MODRUBY_PKG_PREFIX will be ruby for ruby 1.8 ports, ruby19 for ruby 1.9 ports, and jruby for jruby ports. The ,${FLAVOR} part at the end makes sure that dependencies use the same version of ruby that the current port uses. PLISTs are going to become a lot smaller with this. However, any binaries installed by the gem need to have a special string added. For example, the minitar binary installed by archivers/ruby-archive-tar-minitar looks like this in the PLIST: ${GEM_BIN}/minitar${GEM_BIN_SUFFIX} The ${GEM_BIN_SUFFIX} needs to be added manually so the package works on ruby 1.9, which installs the binaries with a 19 suffix. GEM_SKIPDEPENDS has been removed and related support will be removed from devel/ruby-gems. To modify dependencies inside the gem, the gem metadata is placed under WRKDIST and can be modified with the standard patching procedure. OK landry@

NEW: www/sogo
Hi, after lots of fiddling around, I got the library interface version decoupled from the application version. Includes rcscript, and new style readme file in pkg-readmes. It contains a separate subpackage for the CAS python script. Since the webserver must not run on the same server where sogo runs, but the CAS script needs to be installed on the host where the webserver runs. Tested on i386, using openldap, postgresql and cyrus-imapd as the backends. The CAS script is not tested, since I don't have a CAS setup around to test. If someone has such a setup, and would provide some feedback, I'd be happy to include the info in the README file. Otherwise, please comment, or even OK? cheers, Sebastian Information for inst:sogo-1.3.3 Comment: web based groupware server Description: SOGo is a groupware server built around OpenGroupware.org (OGo) and the SOPE application server, with a focus on scalability. It provides the usual groupware functionality as E-Mail, Calendaring, and Contacts management. Maintainer: Sebastian Reitenbach sebas...@openbsd.org WWW: http://www.sogo.nu/

Hum, I actually have a card reader that I just set up under Linux [0]. My 4.7 is on a remote machine, but I'll try to track down a spare machine and put a fresh 4.8 on it to try it all. It doesn't work. At least the OpenPGP SmartCard V2 I have. This card requires pcsc-lite and ccid. I've ported both and they worked. My work stopped trying to make scdaemon working: threading issues made me give up. I just found time, over the week end, to install 4.8 on said spare machine. My SCM SCR335 USB reader works nicely out of the box with just gnupg-2-0-15. No need for pcsc-lite nor ccid. After starting the GPG agent, I could list and use the keys, both for signing, decryption AND remote SSH login. I jotted down some doc here [0]. Next step is trying to see how to do system auth as well! (; [0] https://www.narf.ssji.net/~shtrom/wiki/tips/openpgpsmartcard#doing_the_same_with_openbsd_48 Nice :) Thanks for your report. No. This is not how things should work. You do not set a pseudo flavor based on arch. You don't need to. The NOT_FOR_ARCHS-qt4 = arm is enough to both have correct MULTI_PACKAGES for dump-vars, *and* to have the build system do the right thing. Look at bsd.port.mk internals: it uses _MULTI_PACKAGES wherever it makes sense, and _MULTI_PACKAGES is deduced from MULTI_PACKAGES by amputating what does not build. Let me summarize: if you have a multi-packages port, it will often be along the lines of: MULTI_PACKAGES = -main -foo CONFIGURE_ARGS += --enable-foo if foo does not build on some architecture, what's needed is simply: MULTI_PACKAGES = -main -foo NOT_FOR_ARCHS-arm = -foo .include bsd.own.mk .if ${MACHINE_ARCH} != arm CONFIGURE_ARGS += --enable-foo .endif e.g., the infrastructure stuff happens magically as soon as you set NOT_FOR_ARCHS-arch you only need to take care manually of the configury/building part, since there can be no magic there.
heads-up: LIB_DEPENDS whacking
We are in the final stages of removing the old-style LIB_DEPENDS. Basically, this amounts to changing LIB_DEPENDS = foo::path/libfoo into LIB_DEPENDS = ::path/libfoo WANTLIB += foo stuff like LIB_DEPENDS = bar.=1,foo.=2::path/libfoo becoms LIB_DEPENDS = ::path/libfoo WANTLIB += bar.=1 foo.=2 please do not put any port in the tree that still has library specs at the front of LIB_DEPENDS. make package will already warn, and I suspect it will become an error in less than a week. (if you're working on ports, you're running current, right ? right ?) Once all the old LIB_DEPENDS are gone, I will remove the corresponding code right away, and make the *DEPENDS smarter. Yes, it means all the extra : will vanish, since the expressions will be fully unambiguous, and we can then use BUILD_DEPENDS = devel/bison or LIB_DEPENDS = path/libfoo without further ado and still have stuff like LIB_DEPENDS = tk-=8.4,8.5:x11/tk without any ambiguity...

(for reference, if you do need to use a different build target/s, just set ALL_TARGET=whatever in the port Makefile, similar option available for installation). pkg/DESCR could be improved, I don't have a clue what this program does from the description in this file (maybe a few lines could be borrowed from README) from PLIST: : share/tucan/ : share/tucan/core/ : share/tucan/core/__init__.py : share/tucan/core/accounts.py : share/tucan/core/config.py : share/tucan/core/cons.py snip python libraries should get installed under lib/python2.x/... and bytecode-compiled; usually the simplest way is to provide a setup.py in FILESDIR and use that, there are various examples e.g. www/ntlmaps ('locate files/setup.py' will find more examples). the #! line isn't fixed up in the script, again setup.py would usually take care of this missing update-desktop-database PLIST goo / desktop-file-utils RUN_DEPENDS looks like maybe a missing gettext dep, also language files are installed in a strange directory from patch-Makefile: : -DESTDIR= /usr/local : -BINDIR = $(DESTDIR)/bin/ : -MAINDIR= $(DESTDIR)/share/tucan/ : -ICONDIR= $(DESTDIR)/share/pixmaps/ : -MANDIR = $(DESTDIR)/share/man/man1/ : -DESKTOPDIR = $(DESTDIR)/share/applications/ : +INSDIR = !!INSDIR!! : +BINDIR = $(INSDIR)/bin/ : +MAINDIR= $(INSDIR)/share/tucan/ : +ICONDIR= $(INSDIR)/share/pixmaps/ : +MANDIR = $(INSDIR)/man/man1/ : +DESKTOPDIR = $(INSDIR)/share/applications/ you can just pass these in via FAKE_FLAGS which is cleaner than a patch SUBST_CMD dance, e.g. FAKE_FLAGS = \ BINDIR=${WRKINST}/${PREFIX}/bin/ \ MAINDIR=${WRKINST}/${PREFIX}/share/tucan/ \ ICONDIR=${WRKINST}/${PREFIX}/share/pixmaps/ \ MANDIR=${WRKINST}/${PREFIX}/man/man1/ \ DESKTOPDIR=${WRKINST}/${PREFIX}/share/applications/ however again I think setup.py is the cleaner way to handle this.

Maybe vpnc script can be little more tuned. Not sure if I did stuff in PLIST correctly (@sample). As I do not use GNOME I haven't even tried to do anything with its network-manager hooks. NetworkManager does not exist on OpenBSD. Thanks for info. Has anybody tried this openconnect? jirib I just tried this on my openbsd laptop (cvs build November 7th with GENERIC.MP). I initially had some issues trying to connect to the hostname, saying it failed to obtain WebVPN cookie. So I did two things, not knowing which one caused it to work: 1. opened web browser (Firefox) and went to the webvpn location https://webvpn.foo.com; and logged in and started the browser interface. 2. re-ran openconnect, but this time used the IP address: openconnect -v --script /etc/openconnect/vpnc-script https://173.112.123.123 whichever caused it, I was able to login and succesfully made the network connection and I was able to access intranet pages at home, just like when I'm on a windows box at home using the Cisco client... here is my ifconfig output: $ ifconfig -a rum0: flags=8843UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST mtu 1500 lladdr 00:0e:3b:1e:f0:14 priority: 4 groups: wlan egress media: IEEE802.11 autoselect (OFDM36 mode 11g) status: active ieee80211: nwid Triton chan 6 bssid 00:1d:7e:ba:5d:f0 81dB wpakey not displayed wpaprotos wpa1,wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers tkip,ccmp wpagroupcipher tkip 100dBm inet6 fe80::20e:3bff:fe1e:f014%rum0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x5 inet 192.168.1.17 netmask 0xff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 tun0: flags=51UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING mtu 1406 priority: 0 groups: tun status: active inet 172.16.17.134 -- 172.16.17.134 netmask 0x # route show Routing tables Internet: DestinationGatewayFlags Refs Use Mtu Prio Iface default192.168.1.1UGS522319 -12 rum0 loopback localhost UGRS 00 33160 8 lo0 localhost localhost UH 10 33160 4 lo0 172.16/16 172.16.17.134 UGS6 330 - 8 tun0 armstrong.ultra-at 172.16.17.134 UGS00 - 8 tun0 atshqdc01.ultra-at 172.16.17.134 UGS0 40 - 8 tun0 172.16.17/24 172.16.17.134 UGS00 - 8 tun0 172.16.17.134 172.16.17.134 UH 50 - 4 tun0 172.17.104.10/32 172.16.17.134 UGS00 - 8 tun0 173.227.65.2 192.168.1.1UGHS 1 395 -12 rum0 192.168.1/24 link#5 UC 10 - 4 rum0 192.168.1.100:1d:7e:ba:5d:ee UHLc 20 - 4 rum0 192.168.1.17 localhost UGHS 00 33160 8 lo0 BASE-ADDRESS.MCAST localhost URS00 33160 8 lo0 Internet6: DestinationGatewayFlags Refs Use Mtu Prio Iface ::/104 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 ::/96 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 localhost localhost UH140 33160 4 lo0 ::127.0.0.0/104localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 ::224.0.0.0/100localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 ::255.0.0.0/104localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 :::0.0.0.0/96 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 2002::/24 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 2002:7f00::/24 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 2002:e000::/20 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 2002:ff00::/24 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 fe80::/10 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 fe80::%lo0/64 fe80::1%lo0U 00 - 4 lo0 fe80::1%lo0link#3 UHL00 - 4 lo0 fe80::%rum0/64 link#5 UC 00 - 4 rum0 fe80::20e:3bff:fe1 00:0e:3b:1e:f0:14 UHL00 - 4 lo0 fec0::/10 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 ff01::/16 localhost UGRS 00 - 8 lo0 ff01::%lo0/32 localhost UC 00 - 4 lo0 ff01::%rum0/32 link#5 UC 00 - 4 rum0 ff02::/16 localhost UGRS 10 - 8 lo0 ff02::%lo0/32 localhost UC 00 - 4 lo0
