I'm sorry but I haven't kept up with the aerc mailing list in a while so I wasn't aware that there'd be a 0.18.1 release coming soon, but yeah, that sounds good to me! Best Regards, Thim Cederlund
UPDATE: mail/aerc to 0.18.0
Hi ports, Here's a patch to update aerc to 0.18.0. The patch for the colorize filter isn't needed anymore because we are now able to disable the OSC8 sequences directly in the config file. There is a bunch of fixes and new additions so I recommend you to check out the release notes: https://git.sr.ht/~rjarry/aerc/refs/0.18.0 Tested (very briefly) on amd64 -current without notmuch support. I am not using aerc on a daily basis anymore so for anyone who is active and wants to claim MAINTAINER, I am all for it. Oh, and by the way, infrastructure/bin/portcheck is still complaining about the python filters that are present in the port and the lack of ${MODPY_COMPILEALL} in the Makefile but from what I remember we ignored this. Just thought I would point it out again. Best Regards, Thim Cederlund cvs diff: Diffing . [UPDATE] mail/aerc 0.16.0
Hi @ports, Here's a diff for a pretty big update for aerc. Full changelog: https://git.sr.ht/~rjarry/aerc/refs/0.16.0 Some of the highlights: # Added - JMAP support. - Edit email headers directly in the text editor with `[compose].edit-headers` in `aerc.conf` or with the `-e` flag for all compose related commands (e.g. `:compose`, `:forward`, `:recall`, etc.). - Use `:save -A` to save all the named parts, not just attachments. - `colorize` can style diff chunk function names with `diff_chunk_func`. # Fixed - `:archive` now works on servers using a different delimiter - `:open` uses the attachment extension for temporary files, if possible - memory leak when using notmuch with threading # Changed - The local hostname is no longer exposed in outgoing `Message-Id` headers by default. Legacy behaviour can be restored by setting `send-with-hostname = true` in `accounts.conf`. - Composing an email is now aborted if the text editor exits with an error (e.g. with `vim`, abort an email with `:cq`). [NEW] editors/hyx
Hi ports@, Here's a port for this neat little hex editor with vim keybindings. There is no man page for hyx unfortunately, but passing the `--help` or `-h` flag tells you all about it. The upstream makefile has no install target which is why I opted for a do-install in the port. % pkg_info hyx Information for inst:hyx-2021.06.09 Comment: minimal cli hex editor with Vim-like keybindings Description: minimalistic but powerful terminal hex editor with features such as: insert/replace/delete, copy/paste, undo/redo, search, colors and vim-inspired controls. instead? I only use aerc to get an > immediate notification when I receive an email (the window goes > urgent) and otherwise only use mblaze, so my testing is minimal. I see. Your patch fails at the linking stage when converts/base64 is installed. if I pkg_delete that and remove it from the dependencies list it compiles fine. Yes indeed, that explains why it worked for me the first time around, because I didn't have it installed on my system. Yeah it seems to open every file that is being listed. I had to bump up the ulimits to make it work. I guess this is done in a way to make switching between mails faster since their essentially preloaded.

Honestly I just pulled the commit of whatever the latest version was and I haven't had any issues, although I have to admit I don't use the notmuch functionality which seems to have been getting the most attention lately. I guess we could get away with bumping up the version one or two commits after the so called fix if we wanted to. Anyways, thanks for the interest. [UPDATE] mail/aerc needs fixing
Hi op@ and ports@, I noticed that some of my directories were missing in the sidebar. It turned out to be a bug in the maildir worker that was later patched upstream [1]. It seems it would be appropriate to bump up the version to a newer commit. I'm on v0.0.0-20221206102608-c1784b624aea which released today (December 6th) and I have noticed no issues thus far. Very well, it wasn't clear to me if we always have to make sure that a copy of the license gets installed if provided so I went with it, but now I know. The custom target was also there in case upstream decides to drop the NAME flag for any reason, but sure, the Makefile it a bit tidier without it :) > nitpick: i'd consistently use += for WANTLIB, like > `make port-lib-depends-check' outputs. Actually it _is_ the output of make ports-lib-depends-check. Weirdly enough it didn't append the libraries in the first line. But fine, I'll remember to keep an eye for any incosistencies in the future :) > Briefly tested, seems to work just fine, thanks! > > Here's a tweaked tarball that's OK op@ to import Thank you Omar :) Does anyone want to import it? new: x11/xdragon (or x11/dragon-drop?)
Hi, Here's a port for dragon, it is a program that acts as a drag-and-drop source or sink. You can drag files FROM it and TO it basically. I find myself drag and dropping stuff all the time and I don't use a GUI file manager so this makes things easy. Now to the awkward stuff, the package name "dragon" is already taken by x11/kde-applications/dragon so I opted for xdragon. I noticed however that the Arch Linux User Repository package name is "dragon-drop" so maybe we should name it the same for the sake of consistency? I added a custom do-install target in order to install the LICENSE file and the renamed files. Let me know what you guys think. It's ok for you? :) Sure, adding the MASTRERSITE codeberg is ok by me. I agree with your changes and not adding the icons was a clear miss from my end. I don't use icons so I didn't even notice there were any. [UPDATE] tremc to 0.9.3
Hi ports, Here's a diff for updating the tremc port to version 0.9.3. There's no changelog to it yet but it incorporates all the commits done since the last release which was back in June 2020. Also it looks cleaner in the ports tree to use a tag rather than a random commit as the version number. Builds and runs perfectly on my machine (amd64). Anyone willing to commit it?
