The iPhone app is much easier to navigate than the actual dropbox website,
which would be the other way to add folders. If you have an iPhone, it's much
easier to use the app, add them from there, and then any other computer that
you link to dropbox Will automatically sync, and those folders will show up
there as well. If you really do want to use the dropbox website, you need to go
to dropbox.com, login, and go under the shared section there and add them that
way

Probably the easiest way is to use the Dropbox app on your phone.
Open the app and select the home tab at the bottom. You can either do one of
the following:
Select the shared tab near the top of the screen and scroll down until you get
to the PT access dropbox folder, or Type in the search box PT access, and the
folder should appear. If it's already added to your dropbox, you'll see it
within your main dropbox folder. If not, it should let you add it to your
current Dropbox account.

As far as the macros go, those are within the complete control dropbox, which
you also like we have shared with your account. do the same as above to
find/add it.

I think you already have access to the folder, unless Slau still needs to add
your email. You definitely do not need terabytes of space for that folder, it
is always usually under two gigs

You're already in the Drop Box folder. You'll have to go to the drop box web

Drop Box folder on your Mac, that means you've deleted the folder from your

Protools Access dropbox folder

2021-07-05 Thread Daniel Wolak

Hello,

I'm a new member to the list, and am interested in the accessibility of
Protools with Voiceover on Mac.

Are there any resources as far as getting started, such as a community
dropbox folder or similar it would be possible to join?

Thanks,

Daniel

Just adding What Michael said below is correct as long as they are sharing a
folder. If not, then zip the session folder, pasting to DropBox and emailing
the link.

Hey man. All you need to do is copy the folder named for the session, which is
by default in Documents, and paste the whole folder to Dropbox. All the audio
files are located in the folder, and the .ptx session file will find them when
you open it. Just make sure to copy the whole folder, and you should have no
issues except for reassigning I/O if the other machine uses a different
interface.

Hope this helps

Hi Martin,
Yes, I decided that it was not worth taking up space on everybody's system with
plug-in settings files that are part of the normal installation process. In the
case of AIR stuff, the settings files are found within the AIR folders
themselves and can simply be copied into the Plug-in Settings folder. This
saved about 2 GB worth of space. Let me know if you have any trouble finding
the files.

I'll delete those files after backing up. Beyond that, however, I'd strongly
recommend upgrading to the 1TB plan

which works out to a few pennies a day.

2019-07-14 Thread Steve Martin
There is a guy on youtube who is already doing what you would like.
https://youtu.be/tUXIsOg1Oi0

Check out his channel for reviews on the specific interfaces and i am sure
he’ll have a review of the scarlet MKIII at some point.
Also a more informal demo comparing the U-Phoria 404HD, the Scarlet 2i4 MKII
and the zoom l12.

Re: demos of microphones and audio interfaces in the dropbox folder for people looking for new equipment to replace my Digi 003

2019-07-12 Thread Christopher Gilland

Nick,

As a professional musician, I really don't have time to make demos like
this per sé, however, I can send you privately a recording I made in my
studio that'll be on my upcoming album. Now, mind you, it won't be fully
mixed/mastered. It's close, but I still have some finnishing touches
that need to be done on it.

It'll give you a good idea though of the Scarlet 2I2 with the Blue
Bluebird microphone.

I can't speak for anyone else, but...

I do kindly ask that you please, if I do this, not publicize the
recording in the PT access Dropbox. As long as I can have that promise
that you won't pass it around, I'll send it to you.

Hi guys, be aware that if you only have a free plan with Drop Box, the smallest
one, you’ll not be able to view or access the content of the PT Access drop
box, since the size of the content is larger than the smallest plan with Drop
Box. At least that is my experience. So I have no access to the content at all.

Just FYI. :)

Hello,

If you are on a Mac computer, do not, not not not, do not open archives files
while focused in a Dropbox folder. If you want to see what's inside a ZIP
archive, copy the ZIP file out of the Dropbox folder into a private directory
on your own computer. You need to do this because when ZIP files are opened on
a Mac, they are extracted to wherever they are.
That means if you open a big ZIP archive in a Dropbox folder, everyone who
shares that Dropbox has that archive's files copied to their own machines
whether they want them or not.

My suspicion that it's because all MacOS, Android, and iOS are Linux based.

Just speculating, but that particular folder must have either some
character in its name not permitted in Windows, or properties that are
not allowed in Windows.

Accessmtech.com has all the tutorials from Dropbox under the Pro Tools

Can I contact Vinny via this list or is there another manor to get these .tfx
viles?

Tom.

Hi Tom,

There are presets available that were saved out to TFX format by Vinny Pedulla
on this list. That would simply get to the factory presets without any ability
to edit the patches. Through Komplete Kontrol, however, one can access
parameters through the S series controller keyboard. It's a great library,
although I think the LA Custom Grand is inferior but the rest of the products
are fantastic.

HTH,

Slau

Hi All,

Last week I heard a demo of spectrasonics keyscape. I was very impressed by the

But before I buy it (here in Holland it costs about 370 euros) I want to know
if it is accessible.

Does somebody here use keyscape with pro tools or reaper?

I look out for you answers.

Re: the pt access dropbox folder that's shared

2017-07-01 Thread Jed Barton
Hey guys. Well unfortunately the problem continues. It said folder
access denied. I installed the program and i thought i unlocked it.
I browsed for the folder that i needed to unlock and it said that it
was unlocked successfully. Then i went to my dropbox folder and
attempted to delete it and it said access denied. Any ideas?

Re: the pt access dropbox folder that's shared

2017-07-01 Thread TheOreoMonster
If you already have a dropbox folder on that drive why not jus tamp the dropbox
app to use that as your dropbox folder? Regarding permissions Press Command I
on that folder and take a look at sharing and permissions, See if you can
change them from there. Otherwise google the issue for utility recommendations.
A site like iMore is generally useful for how to’s such as this.

You are going to have to get some kind of utility that allows you to unlock a
folder from a drive because you don't have permission for that Dropbox folder.

the pt access dropbox folder that's shared

2017-07-01 Thread Jed Barton
Hey guys,

OK, i am trying to change the location of my dropbox folder. I want
to put it on 1 of my external drives. There was already an old folder
on there called dropbox. I can not delete it at all, cause it keeps
saying access denied. The problem is the ptaccess shared folder, it
won't let me delete it. Any ideas what i should do? It's annoying
cause i need to fix this and it's standing in my way. Any ideas?

Nick,

I've never actually called them, so I'm not totally sure. I do apologize.

Hi, I will contact Avid support on this issue. When contacting support they
want some type of support code and I know mine is expired. Is there an email
address I can write to or a way I can contact a human rather then a recording
that won't let me get to someone to talk to unless I enter a valid code when I
call support? Nick Gawronski

Rather than putting those installers in the folders you would be better to
maybe put them somewhere on your own dropbox then post a link to those
files
as those take up quite a lot of space. Or you could contact Avid
technical
support who no doubt would sort you out with direct links to the files.

Re: putting the full pro tools 12 installers for the mac along with the avid plugins into the ptaccess dropbox folder for ease of location

2017-06-16 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
Wouldn't it technically be illegal to put that installer in the DB folder? I
mean, I get that you couldn't really do anything with it without the use of an
ILok asset, but, still, I'd think technically, it wouldn't be within the
license agreement that this would be acceptable.

Sorry to be an asshole about this, but I'd personally be a little leery about
doing this. Call me paranoid.

I can put it there if it's not been done already, and Slau permits it, but
until I get his OK, I won't do so.
