Re: [qmailtoaster] Fwd: SPAMDYKE TIMEOUT

2020-10-18 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Finn,

Our clients are sending the emails to my personal and my official id in the
past two weeks, those emails are delivered into my personal id, but my
official id is not getting delivered then i found the above warning message
everyday.
I have allowed my client domain on whitelist_senders,recipients,rdns and
clients also getting my official emails on their server.
Could you advise how to rectify this issue.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Eric,

I have done of your advise.
the below list of files

-rws--x--x 1 qmailq qmail  50K Apr 15  2014 qmail-dk

There is no link with qmail-queue and qmail-dk
 and there is no qmail-queue.orig file

and tcp.smtp file is like below.

127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD="",NOP0FCHECK="1"
:allow,BADMIMETYPE="",BADLOADERTYPE="M",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="50",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="10",NOP0FCHECK="1",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"

Is it my setup is okay or did i miss anything.

Thanks.

The sender side is not supporting us instead the user pushing me to check
my server.
I have keep on checked my server logs maillog, smtp,spamdyke, there is no
domain or ip address or user email.

Thanks for your advice.
Yes, you are right.
It's too big size of the hard disk. It's taking time.
Better i try above your suggestion and steps.
May i know the same process also for new hard disk upgrade with the same
machine.
Basically those folders need to transferred from old hard drive to new hard
drive.
May i said right.

Thanks guys for your help always.

[qmailtoaster] send and receive error

2019-01-28 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Folks,

I am running qmailtoaster on COS6 32 bit.

Send and receive error message coming frequently and inbox emails are not
downloading in outlook 2016 of office 365 email client.

But if i restart the dovecot service then start downloading the emails in
inbox then send and receive error message gone.

Outlook 2010 doesn't have the same issue.

Is this server issue? or email client version issues? or if i need to use
standalone outlook product instead office 365?

I do the dovecot service restart every one hour for this issue .

if possible to do the cron job for dovecot service restart for every one
hour daily or any other solution there.

Kindly Any one help me.

Hi Biju,

Thanks for your help and steps.

Can i use the qt-backup script to take all the backup in old server?
Then move this compress file into new server to qt-restore command.

Anyone have any idea about this?

And one more doubt.

Can i use the same procedure for Hard disk upgrade from old hard disk to
new hard disk in the same machine or any other simple step there?

Thanks in advance.

[qmailtoaster] How to increase email attachment size

2017-12-12 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Dear Friends,

I am using Qmailtoaster on centos 6.5 machine and currently having 200
email accounts.

I want to increase email attachment size like 20 MB for particular email
account only like Business and management people.

Currently provided only 7 MB in databytes file.

If possible to provide 20 MB in webmail for those accounts only.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Missing domain

2017-11-28 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Tony,

Try to do qt-backup or qtp-backup for backup and qt-restore or qtp-restore
for full backup.

But make sure before you had email backup from any email client like
outlook or thunderbird.

If anything missing then you can restore from pst.

 Hi Eric,

 1) What OS?
 COS 5.11

 2) Is this happening through squirrelmail, or other clients?
 Squirrelmail and pop3

 3) Is this an IMAP issue or also a submission issue
 It seesm to be across the board.

 4) What errors are you getting and where (logs and programs)?
 No errors, not even vqadmin sees the domain.
 I have a Your email address is blacklisted.

 5) Have you looked at your log files for dovecot '/var/log/dovecot.log',
 for Courier I'm not sure where it goes.

 6) I think (can't remember off the top of my head) for authentication
 the domain must be in the mysql db, vpopmail directory, and
 /var/qmail/users/assign

 Wow had forgotten that one and yes it was not in there. Added it now
 but now I am getting errors.
 Now vqadmin sees the domain but it cannot find users. All directories
 are present.

 FYI - I am backing up using qtp-backup then going to restore to a vm
 that is the last backup we have using qtp-restore.

 Thank Eric, any more tips ideas gratefully accepted.

 best wishes

[qmailtoaster] Fwd: Automatic backup for all email accounts

2017-06-23 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Friends,

I am running Qmailtoaster in centos 6.6 server with 150 email accounts.
All the email accounts are configured in mobile and desktop in IMAP type.
I am worried for the email if any removed all the emails from his inbox
using their email client(Outlook or any mobile client)

In this scenario, how to take a backup all the email accounts separately.

At present i have configured all the email accounts in Outlook in spare
system and took the backup monthly in pst format.

It is killing my time for all the day.

I have hosted another domain in third party vendor with email hosting and
advanced email backup.

They have provided two separate control panel logins.
One control panel provided to create new email account and check the size
etc.
Another control panel provided to configure those email account in IMAP
type.
Once configured those email account in this control panel, it is showing
the backup process completed message in backup status.
There is one option to download those email account in PST format to any
system.

So i would like to make a same scenario in our office which is our another
domain hosted in our server.

Anyone have the experience . Could you help me to provide the solution.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your help.

I have disabled bind and do the below steps. now it's working.

# yum install pdns-recursor

# chkconfig pdns-recursor on

Then change /etc/resolv.conf to be:

nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver  myispa dns

then run queue_repair.py -r all the queued emails are delivered and new
emails are delivered.

[qmailtoaster] how to increase email size in one email account

2016-04-05 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi All,

Am running qmailtoaster in centos 6.6 64 bit.

I have allowed email size 10 MB in /var/qmail/control/databytes file and
able to send and receive emails with the 10 MB size.

I need to allow one email account 20 MB size email for send and receive,
rest of other accounts remain same 10 MB size.

Is there any option to allow in that file.

Hi Eric,
This machine had qmailtoaster with all packages was running fine earlier.
I had updated all packages through webmin two days back.

Email is working fine in outlook and thunderbird after updated the packages.

But webmail(Squirrelmail) is not opening the page and shown above error.

I have gone through yum.log . it show below package for squirrelmail.

Mar 31 12:59:54 Updated: squirrelmail-1.4.22-4.el6.noarch

Then I have checked squirrelmail rpm in my server it shows below.

which squirrelmail

/usr/bin/which: no squirrelmail in
(/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin)

Is it any overwrited existing packages after updated or any file permission
in squirrelmail folder. path:  /usr/share/squirrelmail

Should i need to reinstall the squirrelmail package. If yes could you let
me know the steps.

Could you help me .

Re: [qmailtoaster] How to protect sent items email and Trash folder from users

2015-09-29 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Friends,

I found in Google for my requirements it's called auto bcc providing in our
server to solve my issue.
In our qmailtoaster earlier version had the qmail-tap which we need to make
whole domain email account sent emails forward to any email account or any
one email account sent to other email account from our server.

But when i went on server to check this file is not there.

Could anyone have idea about this.

Please let me know if you have any idea about this and configuration steps.

FYR Below.

*taps*

This file contains email archiving instructions-also known as tap/tapping.
The *taps* file (empty, 0-byte file) is not included in the basic, default
toaster install.

The *tap-patch* is in the toaster package, however...you just need to
configure it by:

   1. touch /var/qmail/control/taps
   2. vi /var/qmail/control/taps

insert tap info and save.

Examples:

a) To tap a whole domain add a line like: .*@domain.com:j...@example.com
---'joe' gets a copy of all incoming and outgoing mail for the domain.

b) To tap an individual email address add a line like: u...@domain.com:o
t...@example.com ---'other' gets a copy of all incoming and outgoing mail
for 'user'

Thanks,
Mani.

Hi Noriyuki,
Thanks for your reply.
So you mean to say will not recover if user delete any emails ever rsync to
another path.

Let me try lsyncd+rsync in testing server for the realtime.

In case if i need to see the data from backup location how to see in
outlook or any other email client.

Do i need to create dummy email account and restore that folder from sync
location or any other method is there.

2015-09-28 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Hi Havrla,
Thanks for your help.
So you mean to say need to create domain and user for backup with the same
server with above example and after that do a rsync.
May am i right.
The problem is if they delete from their email . is it affect in backup
domain also or not.
If not affected the backup domain then it will useful for me.

Or if any one give simple solution.

What ever outbound mails go out from our domain in any account to store
those outbound mails to any one email account.

If possible to do any rule in our server.

If made a rule like that then we can monitor those email sent items in that
particular email account.

Anyone face this kind of experience. kindly share me.

Re: [qmailtoaster] How to protect sent items email and Trash folder from users

2015-09-27 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Dear Eric,

we have forward option in qmailadmin whoever send email to any email
account we can forward to other email accounts.

Similar function i need to make for sent items. whoever send email from our
domain to any email account we need those send items email copied to any
email account.

Why i need this .?

In my organization senior persons removed from their sent items email from
themselves and if our management require to retrieve those emails from
their sent items could not do that..

In this case if do we have similar forward option for sent items email then
it will easily retrieve from that email account of their emails.

2015-09-27 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Dear Friends,
Thanks for your kind suggestion. My problem is our most Senior people used
their email account in their office Desktop(outlook),home(Outlook) and
handsets. If they want to moved emails from his inbox or Sent items
intentionally. How to retrieve those emails . If inbox emails we could make
forward option to create similar b...@domain.com email account to retrieve
that. The main problem is Sent items.
In blackberry server have one option autobcc if any one sent emails from
blackberry handset it will copy those sent items email to other account.
If possible to make similar function in server for particular users. Then
we would recover those sent items emails.

Please share your thoughts and solution.

As per your advise if i use rsync option it will backup all emails with
mirror concept. but how do i get those emails from backup folder. Do i need
to restore any email account from rsync backup drive.

could any one give clear solution of my query.

Thanks,

  Chandran,

 From the configuration you sent you have the following setting...

 service imap-login {

 from http://wiki2.dovecot.org/LoginProcess

 It should be...

 service imap-login {
service_count = 0
 }

 For High-performance mode.

 And, I would not change any configuration file in /etc/dovecot/conf.d
 directory, make all your changes in local.conf

 In the above link, here's the High-Performance section:

 High-performance mode

 You can enable high-performance mode with:

 service imap-login {  service_count = 0  #client_limit =
 $default_client_limit  #process_min_avail = 0  #vsz_limit = 64M}service
 pop3-login {  service_count = 0}

  It works by using a number of long running login processes, each
 handling a number of connections. This loses much of the security benefits
 of the login process design, because in case of a security hole (in Dovecot
 or SSL library) the attacker is now able to see other users logging in and
 steal their passwords, read their mails, etc.

-

process_min_avail should be set to be at least the number of CPU
cores in the system, so that all of them will be used.
 - Otherwise new processes are created only once an existing one's
connection count reaches client_limit
- Default client_limit * process_limit = 1000*100 = 100k connections
- vsz_limit should be increased to avoid out of memory errors,
especially if you're using SSL/TLS.

 It should be...

 For High-performance mode.

 And, I would not change any configuration file in /etc/dovecot/conf.d

 In the above link, here's the High-Performance section:

 High-performance mode

 You can enable high-performance mode with:

 service imap-login {  service_count = 0  #client_limit =
 $default_client_limit  #process_min_avail = 0  #vsz_limit = 64M}service
 pop3-login {  service_count = 0}

2015-07-23 Thread Chandran Manikandan
Dear Eric,
Thanks for your help. I tried your above advise and changed in local.conf
file then i restarted the service dovecot restart. After restart the server
i tried this command doveconf -d still service count shows 1. FYR below.

service imap-login {
  chroot = login
  client_limit = 0
  drop_priv_before_exec = no
  executable = imap-login
  extra_groups =
  group =
  idle_kill = 0
  inet_listener imap {
address =
port = 143
reuse_port = no
ssl = no
  }
  inet_listener imaps {
address =
port = 993
reuse_port = no
ssl = yes
  }
  privileged_group =
  process_limit = 0
  process_min_avail = 0
  protocol = imap
  service_count = 1
  type = login
  user = $default_login_user
  vsz_limit = 18446744073709551615 B
}

My changes in local.conf.

service imap-login {
  service_count = 0
  #client_limit = $default_client_limit
  #process_min_avail = 0
  #vsz_limit = 64M
}
service pop3-login {
  service_count = 0
}

My 10-master.conf under conf.d file below.

service imap-login {
  inet_listener imap {
# process_limit = 15
# client_limit = 10740
#port = 143
  }
  inet_listener imaps {
#port = 993
#ssl = yes
  }

  # Number of connections to handle before starting a new process. Typically
  # the only useful values are 0 (unlimited) or 1. 1 is more secure, but 0
  # is faster. doc/wiki/LoginProcess.txt
  #service_count = 1

  # Number of processes to always keep waiting for more connections.
  #process_min_avail = 0

  # If you set service_count=0, you probably need to grow this.
  #vsz_limit = $default_vsz_limit
}

service pop3-login {
  inet_listener pop3 {
#port = 110
  }
  inet_listener pop3s {
#port = 995
#ssl = yes
  }
}

I think the problem is whatever change did in dovecot folder means
local.conf or toaster.conf or 10-master.conf it's not overwrite in doveconf
file that's why i couldn't fix this issue.

Is any mismatch configuration there in dovecot package or qmailtoaster.

Or do i reinstall the current dovecot toaster package will it fix this
issue.

Please advise it and help me.

If i need to do reinstall kindly let me know the command procedures.
Because this is live server and would not affect any email accounts or data.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

 Services are being changed to use standard mechanisms. This will

 Dovecot has replaced pop3, imap and auth services formerly run by
 supervise. You can do service dovecot status to check on it. Its log
 messages are in the /var/log/dovecot.log file.

 clamd now also runs as a normal service (service clamd status). Its
 messages are now in /var/log/maillog along with vpopmail messages which
 have been there all along. This is the standard mail log location for
 syslog.

 Note, spamassassin will also be updated soon to run as a normal service
 and use syslog, so its messages will also be in /var/log/maillog at that
 time.

 The next spamdyke will also send log messages to syslog. This will
 require a simple manual configuration change though, as the spamdyke
 configuration file is set up as config(noreplace).

 These changes are in preparation for using systemd in CentOS7, as well as
 an ELK (ElasticSearch-Logstash-Kibana) stack that will be forthcoming
 for QMT.

 Hope it helps ?

This will require
 a simple manual configuration change though, as the spamdyke configuration
 file is set up as config(noreplace).

 These changes are in preparation for using systemd in CentOS7, as well as
 an ELK (ElasticSearch-Logstash-Kibana) stack that will be forthcoming for
 QMT.

 END OF MAIL

 Hope it helps ?

 /Cheers
 Finn

 You might try to compile my version of simscan from
 https://github.com/qmail/simscan . This version fixes several issues -
 today I have included the mentioned patch; I currently do not have time to
 test it, but I see no problem with the patch.

 I don't know, which version of ripmime you are using, but it could be
 version 1.4.0.10 solves that issue.

 Chandran,

 It looks like you can use the qmailtoaster 'testing' repo to install it.
 When using yum you'll 'enablerepo testing' ( I can't remember the command
 specifically).

 Eric

 Chandran,

 Here's the proper command:

 # yum --enablerepo=qmailtoaster-testing update clamav

 Eric
