CS[List Owner] Politics on the Silver List...

2004-02-14 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi folks,

Hank wrote:

(Rhetorical question. No answer expected...)

I'm not, of course, commenting on the specific subject matter, but
rather the idea of posting an utterly off topic message on a prohibited
subject, no less, less than a day after the list owner intervened to
bring things back on topic.

Is that dumb, or what?
(Another rhetorical question...)

The only kinds of politics that are at all welcome on the Silver List
are items dealing with *significant* alternative health issues, or
anything specifically related to CS.

In those cases an occasional heads-up message is acceptable, with
most or all follow-up on the OT list or elsewhere.

Immigration policy does *not* qualify, nor does election year debate,
nor much of anything else you'd hear on the Nightly News or Rush
Limbaugh.

If you haven't lately, please read the rules on Prohibited Topics...

From http://www.silverlist.org:

---
Prohibited Topics

Experience shows that certain topics are clear losers, no matter how
carefully they are treated.

Politics is forbidden unless it relates directly to CS or important
alternative health issues, as mentioned above. Do not discuss political
parties, elections, politicians, policy, or philosophy. Do not raise
divisive issues -- you know which ones! Do not reply to political
comments made by others... Nope, not even to be fair!

Avoid discussing religion, mysticism, or spirituality. There is no
comment you can make that will not risk offending someone. Overt
evangelization is not permitted. Do not reply to religious remarks made
by others.

I am not asking you to de-God everything you say, do or think,
however. Brief greetings, thanks, and prayer requests or offerings are
acceptable. The occasional God bless, or you're in our prayers will
not be seen as a transgression. Modest tag lines or signature files may
also be used.

I say again: Criticism of other list members' behavior or how the list
is being run must be directed to the list owner, privately and not on
the list. No List Cops!

So, that's it folks. Don't post'em. Don't reply to 'em. Make a habit of
it and get banned.

Re: CSWater filter?

2004-02-14 Thread Ode Coyote
Interesting that no mention of iron is in the copy.
Not that it won't take it out, it will, but it might cause problems in the filter they don't want to address.
I'd check to see if the reverse osmosis cycle occurs before or after the carbon filter.
If it's afterwards, iron algae will contaminate the carbon filter in a week or two.
Installing a carbon filter in the refrigerator prevents the organisms from growing in the filter.
Simply cooling the water makes most of it go inactive and settle out. Ice cubes have a spot of brown residue on the bottom and don't have the iron flavor nearly as much.
A short rinse thaws that part off quickly.

Some of my neighbors have the problem so bad the water is brown as mud..mine isn't that bad but has a distict flavor and stains everything eventually.

Carbon filters work for a while and reduce conductivity of the water by about 2/3rds but the organisms grow in the filter and make the water smell like a swamp.

The fizz comes from carbon dioxide dissolved into the water.

Hulda Clark has a recipe for home mad Soda Pop. I wonder why she
included it in her book.

Has anyone tried it?

Many people tell me they don't like water. I was working on a
computer in the residence of a customer for many years. She asked me if I
wanted a Coke. I said NO. Water.

She said I hate Water. After she brought me a glass of water, I
knew why. It must have been from an open container in the refrigerator. I
could almost make a complete grocery list from the many freaky tastes present.

Amazingly, she was 80 years old. Her husband was deceased. When I
installed the alarm system for these people, many years ago, I did a roof
survey and fixed a few electrical problems for them. He offered to pay me
for these added serves.I said no charge. This was how I made
friends and influenced people. Of course that time spent was better
than a full page ad in the phone book.

These people were full time salesmen for me. Many new sales followed.

If people could get good water, drink enough of it, they would learn to
like water.

One of my favorite aunts drank coke for her complete lifetime, very
little water. She lived to be near 90.
I remember that she added HCL to water religiously. Some great Doctor
added years to her life.

Suddenly, for some reason, doctors quit checking HCL and never prescribe
it today. ( in the 40's or 50's )

Three guesses why? It has a broad spectrum effect on all phases of
health and disease.

Anyone think these changes was an accident or possibly the pages
explaining this was torn from the medical books?

Me thinks, someone or some group, wants to make people sick and add
billions more to the medical gestapo accounts.

CSWater filter

2004-02-14 Thread marjie
Ode, apparently it is before according to their statement.

The filtered water from your portable AQUAWizardTM (it weighs just 10 ounces,
280 grams!), having passed through the reverse osmosis membrane, slowly passes
through a built-in granulated carbon filter which further removes any remaining
impurities and chemicals from the water

I searched and searched and couldn't find anything on iron removal either. Was
getting ready to e-mail them then I found a statement somewhere that it did.
I'm with you, seems strange it's not listed with all the others. Think I will
bring this missing iron to their attention. Sure glad they have the 60 day,
money back thingy. CU - Marjie

Relax, ma'am. Every time I have to do *anything* to rein in the list,
people get more nervous than they ought to.

If you're doing anything that would get you into trouble you'll get
plenty of warning from me.

When we're zooming along at over 100 messages a day, with only a couple
of dozen of 'em even close to being on-topic, then I'd complain about
it. In the course of a thread that'll be winding down within a day or

CSCataract Cure by Dr. Robert Jay Rowen

2004-02-14 Thread Wayne Fugitt

Morning Richard,

I have a cataract lowly appearing in my right eye and am seeking a
good remedy and successful use.

The simple formula I posted was from Dr. Robert Jay Rowen, another
great alternative doctor.

There are some interesting testimonials in his newsletter, Second Opinion.
If my scanner was not loaned out, I would scan it for you. I was not able
to find it on line. This article is in the Feb 2004 issue.

The 3 magic ingredients are, DMSO, Vitamin C, and Glutathione. I talked
in person to a compounding pharmacist about making some of it, and due to
the one ingredient, it is a prescription item. Of course you know all
about that.

If you want to know more about Dr. Rowen, use this Robert Jay Rowen in
the google or your choice

search engine. Include the double quotes.

He stated that even he was amazed at the results, and that he uses it every
day as a prevention.

While I have no known eye problems, or symptoms, I felt that if it was good
enough for this doctor, I would use it myself. After all, I am reaching
the age where the American Way of life kills most people or makes them sick.

Got to call my one friendly doctor for a prescription, .. right now !

Wayne

Later again Weston himself was afflicted with arthritis and a

and recalling his experiences with the sheep, Weston wondered
whether reducing his own intake of phosphorus would have any
effect. Like Hafer, he set about developing a low phosphate diet.
He also experimented - as he had earlier with his sheep using
mineral licks - with supplements of alkaline minerals such as
magnesium and potassium, which he believed would counteract the
harmful effects of phosphorus and promote its excretion. The
results exceeded his expectations; the arthritis eased and
gradually disappeared; the cancer tumour dried up, shrivelled,
separated and finally broke away from his hand.

My Sister said Adelle Davis wrote her books in a trance with paper in front
of her guided by some spirit. She did not know what she was writing. Adelle
belonged to my sisters church and her husband was the preacher.

I treated my Collie dog with linseed oil for a huge catract that nearly
shut off her vision. Linseed oil was from my local hardware stores paint
department. I filled a 1/2 ounce bottle with the oil and gave her a drop per
day I treated her for close to 3 months and stopped as her eyelid was getting
real crusty. The cataract became a pinpoint and finally disappeared several
months after stopping treatment. I would use flaxseed oil if there is a next
time or CS with DMSO.

I read the e-mails on cataracts and did not answer as my Arizona RV park
has only one computer station for 750 RVs. Really tuff just to get on line to
check e-mails.

Asthma is really getting me this year. I am using the head down, head up
eye dropper with a 45 minute wait plus the Grossan sinus irragator plus
CS,DMSO,MSM in an ultrasonic vaporizer, plus Jamaica (Cactus flower) tea
sweetened with Citrus Blossom honey. I have been using the Grossan irragator
for over 3 months and the eye dropper for 3 weeks. The eyedropper cleaned out
my sinus after I thought they were clear using Grossan.

I also now soon will have my 80th IV Chelation (spread over 7 years) from
Mexico, still $50 per treatment

Later again Weston himself was afflicted with arthritis and a
cancerous tumour which developed on his hand. Remembering his early
life experiences and realising that phosphorus had been involved,
and recalling his experiences with the sheep, Weston wondered
whether reducing his own intake of phosphorus would have any

That's sorta correct, IMO. Of course, a lot of soils never had silver
present -- mainly the soils in central US. In places they're
deficient in other trace minerals (iodine, for example).

But a silver deficiency is certainly possible, because the groups of
people in the world who live longest are all in areas that have plenty
of dissolved silver in their soil and water (as well as a lot of other

Re: CSPhosphorous / Also Silver Deficiency

2004-02-14 Thread Garnet
I am simply amazed at the inability of some people to do a bit of simple
research on their own. If you wait around for someone else to hand you
the answers you are missing out on a lot of knowledge and the ability to
enrich other people with what you have found out.

I just queried Google.com with Calcium Phosphorous Ratio and got 10
pages of hits!

Here is one on phosphorous that is pertinent.
http://www.brandywinechiropractic.com/minerals/phosphorous

BTW I don't mean to direct this at anyone in particular. Just a general
observation on the inability of many to put forth a bit of effort to
answer their own questions before demanding the answers from someone
else. Happens on all of the lists and forums I have been on. Are people
just plain lazy or is it lack of confidence in their ability to find
their own information and think it through.

And please do not read more into this than I mean - it is good to ask
questions and to request sources. But there is so much common knowledge
that is not sought and basic education that is not pursued.

How many of you use seach engines FIRST then ask?

I actually have very little extra time. But due to the constant nature

Re: CSCS: Gel ingredients?

2004-02-14 Thread sol

Garnet,
That doesn't help either, sorry. It is iodine I am allergic to, so no
seaweed products or seaweed thickeners at all. However, for immediate
use, I wonder if flaxseed meal would work? or Fenugreek? SlipperyElm? or
maybe guar gum or xanthan gum.
Geez, I hope neither of those are seaweed products so far as I can find
out they are not..
Actually though sloppy, I don't mind a liquid, it probably isn't
worth the trouble to me to make a gel.

You can make a gel with Agar agar, a seaweed. I have found it at Whole
Food Stores. It is used as a vegan substitute for gelatin which is

I looked a bottle of the organic Aloe Gel I used to use. It is by Lily
of the Desert (not Lily of the Valley as I previously stated on this
list).

Carageenan is used as a thickening agent. www.lilyofthedesert.com is
thier website. Perhaps they can answer your questions.

CSWide anode DC

2004-02-14 Thread Julius Kabrun
Dear Vince,

Thank you for your 2cents worth. It is much appreciated. Maybe ole' Bob took
pity on a newbie?

I have a CS maker of the simplest kind that works with 3 x 9v batteries but the
CS I make is not good because I have been using salt in the water.I bought
a few bottles of CS will use some to prime the water but your comment on
wide anode setups has intrigued me I shall try to find info in the Archives
hopefully someone in this group will send me particulars.

Regards,
Jules.

CSWide anode

2004-02-14 Thread Julius Kabrun
Hi Vince others,

If the only change I should make is to make the anode 1/2 wide I can do that
easily, or even both of them or 1 if you think it better.

Regards,
Jules.

Re: CSCS: Gel ingredients?

Guess I missed the part about iodine allergy. Agar is a purified
product, particularly that sold by scientific supply houses. It is used
as a base media for cell culture. I would be very surprised if there is
any iodine content in this form, as it would skew the results of any
attempt to grow microbes or tissue cultures.
