CS>Concensus of opinion

2008-09-24 Thread Neville
Looking for information regarding h2o2. I have Hydrogen Peroxide 20 volume 6%
w/v in a brown glass bottle bought over the counter at a pharmacy. Although
there is nothing printed on the bottle regarding 'stabilisers' having been
added, and having an expiry date of 2010 printed on the lable, I am wondering
if this product is suitable, in diluted form, to be used in conjunction with CS
for ingestion purposes. I am aware that 'Food Grade' is the catch phrase but
wonder if those two words would, in fact, appear on a bottle or if this product
can be interpreted as 'Food Grade'.

I also have a 3% solution which is in a plastic bottle but states that
stabilisers have been added, (I am in no way thinking of ingesting this product
though, so don't fret there, external use only), but as the 6% has nothing
stated on it regarding stabilisers I was wondering if this one would be
considered 'Food Grade'.

As a 'throw away' question, I have asked several pharmacies if their product
can be ingested and get different answers from each one, although I would never
consider ingesting the 3% one anyway, at any time. Just another instance of a
lack of credible information one can rely on. Perhaps someone could tell me
how they define 'Food Grade', ie; is 'Food Grade' actually stated on the label?

Neville.

CS>[List Owner] Suspensions...

2008-09-24 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi Folks,

I've suspended TJ and Bob from the group. TJ, for the obvious reason of
mistakenly sending political items to the main list, repeatedly; Bob,
for using the list to publicly resolve a matter that should have been
handled in private, with my help if needed.

I am not sure under what circumstances I'm willing to let TJ come back
at this point. Despite the fact he's been a member here for so long, I
can't permit these intrusions to continue, and I see no sign that he is
capable of preventing such mistakes in the future.

I also agree fully with Linda and Malcolm that his practice of sending
unadorned links without any description is a discourtesy to those of us
with slow connections (Malcolm) or slow hardware (me), and are a waste
if the goal is to have any real interaction on the OT list, which has
largely become a dumping ground for TJ's broadcasts..

With all the goings on lately, I'm considering elevating what has up to
this point been a matter of etiquette to the status of a rule, along
the lines of:

"Any link or article you want to post must be accompanied by a minimum
of a few sentences written by you, that illustrate your interest in the
material and why we might want to view it, and the silver list or OT
list must be the only recipient of your message."

In other words, I want such postings to extract a certain level of
investment and engagement from the member that might actually offer
something to the community.

As for Bob, the rules are clear that any complaints you have about the
behavior of other members are to be directed to me privately. These
include issues of off-list behavior, such as TJ ignoring Bob's entirely
reasonable request to be taken off his distribution lists.

I provide the forum and have created the rules and expectations that
govern members' behavior while they are my guests. I must rely on every
member respecting this and giving me at least a basic level of
cooperation. This incident and other matters that Bob and I have
discussed privately beg the question whether he is honestly willing to
do that.

I'll continue this discussion with anyone who wants to comment, where
it belongs... in private. Thank you.

Be well,

Mike Devour

I think herpes could also be the cause because when I had shingles, I
took copious amounts of CS plus lysine and it went in a week. After
that whenever I get the awful burning and 'stabbing' pains which used to
be the start, I would start this regime and it would go. Another thing
for this (if it is herpes) could be aerobic oxygen which I am also
taking for fatique, and it seems to be working fine. I have read that
there is thought that one or other of the herpes viruses may be at the
root of a lot of nerve related diseases, and even maybe, cancer. dee

According to these articles, it is so rare for anyone to overload on D,
that even taking 1 or 2 grams a day for the winter will not cause a
problem for most people. I thought the Q & A at the Startribune site
was so interesting, as the doc really went into quite alot of detail
that was not in the articles I read here recently. In fact, some are so
deficient that even taking grams a day for a year, they were STILL
deficient. So testing is fine, if you have the money, and a doc that
will say yes; and sunshine is the best form, but for those of us living
north of Atlanta ( in some studies, and it is about the 33.5 parallel))
some supplementation for some part of the year is a good idea; longer
the farther north one lives. Here in Minneapolis ( the 45th parallel),
it is the entire fall and winter, from the end of Sept to April. I have
been at zero (blood tests) in January, so I used up all the summer sun
by then.

Plus, there is always a disclaimer for all health info, for legal
purposes, and then some docs want total control over people's lives,
and do not want anyone to do anything without their say so.

if the banks doors close on any large scale, just what will u.s. dollars be
worth?

in such a scenario, guns might help the ruthless survive awhile. you can't
eat gold, and trading it might be very dangerous and weird. apparently god
has god's own designs for god's own reasons.

i'd kind of like to see lots of CEO's and mortgage crooks hanging from trees
all over the place. "strange fruit" not all brown skinned this time.

Re: more unwelcome email: RE: CS>Another 9/11?

2008-09-24 Thread Linda Ellis
Well, I was going to stay out of this and do what I've been doing to TJ's mail
forever - deleting unread.  I have several objections to these posts.

FIRST, TJ is well aware that there is an off-topic list for topics unrelated to
CS

SECOND, as usual, TJ simply posts a link with absolutely no commentary or
original thought.  I long ago decided that I personally felt this was arrogant
of him, to assume his judgment about the value of the linked material should
be accepted unquestioningly, and others should therefore take the time to
access the link before knowing if the subject is remotely interesting to them.
I may miss some stuff I'd like to know about, but if TJ can't take the time to
write a few lines about what he found valuable in the linked material, I don't
have the time to follow him around.  I'll just have to make do with my own
research on subjects of interest.

THIRD, I, too, have been uncomfortable with other people's email addresses
showing up in the address lines of his posts.  Is TJ likewise sending my email
address out to people I don't know, and wouldn't want to have contact with?  Is
this, perhaps, one of the reasons I've been seeing more and more spam?

To be honest, I've been thinking lately about removing myself from the
off-topic list, anyway.  It seems it has turned into nothing more than a
constant barrage of people (particularly TJ) posting links, without any
substantive interchange between list members on the topics raised.  I much
preferred earlier discussions about corporate welfare, reforming the social
security system, global warming, etc., when people actually posted their own
original thinking, or at least made the effort to explain why linked material
might be interesting in view of the topic at hand.

This topic coming up here prompts me to consider other possible groups where
the discussion is more stimulating and interactive, though I would dearly miss
Ode Coyote, Mike, and a few others

Thats odd. I can't connect to any of those 3 sites with Safari,
Firefox or explorer. I've never had a problem before. I can
connect to any other US .com site without problems. Perhaps I've
been banned!

   I doubt that.

I suspect a routing problem.

Did you try ping or tracert ?

That should tell you.

One person could never send an email to one of my addresses.

They talked bad about my mail server, and other things.

And of course her mail server never talked to my mail server,
Not even once.

There was a routing problem. That is all.

i've noticed others with the same problem.
legal action is appropriate and needed. cooperation with other victims
would probably be needed to get any significant response from authorities.
someone recently posted a link to a website set up to flag this operation...
maybe it includes a way to get other victims together?

your last email I replied to Wayne, I couldn't highlight the bits I
wanted to delete and lost most of the whole thing! So I've had to leave
all this one in. dee

You have a problem.

There is no problem with the links or the sites.

the trouble with Vit D supplementation is, that it 'can' be overloaded
and that can cause severe problems so it should be approached with
caution. Mercola suggests being tested for it first. dee

I have read that
there is thought that one or other of the herpes viruses may be at the
root of a lot of nerve related diseases, and even maybe, cancer. dee

fibromyalgia is prominent among the symptoms of active chronic hep-c

there are other possible causes (that i don't recall) that should also be
ruled out or dealt with.
